Hello again, all! Many thanks for viewing; hopefully, this can help anyone using the Boss GT-6B. Adding external footswitches grants more access to more of the unit's onboard effects. Now, instead of being limited to an 'either/or' scenario with onboard pedals 1 - 3 (4 is Reverb/Delay, exclusively) and the CTL pedal, you can also assign the Expression Pedal, the Expression Pedal switch, and 2 other footswitches to get a much broader array of effects immediately available.
    A FEW UPDATES/NOTES/CORRECTIONS...
2:02 Aside from the Expression Switch (button under the toe of the pedal), you can also assign the Expression Pedal itself to control an effect/parameters.
4:29 Please comment with any corrections to help me and any other viewers if I've explained the basic 'connection science' behind TS/TRS cables incorrectly...
17:08 Footswitch settings (may have repeated myself here...)
17:41 Footswitch polarity; may have repeated myself here, as well... Amp channel selection is the same as selecting between the modes in (for example) the Boss SD-2...
26:07 Assignable Effects: CL, SG, TW, Fz, Pre, Spk, PEq, Ph, Ch, R&D, Rv, Dly, NS, MST, MST BMP, FV, Bypass, Patch Select, Master BPM Tap, Dly Time Tap, MIDI start/stop, MMC, Effect Lvl Inc/Dec.
30:40 I need to see what the difference between 'Normal' and 'Toggle' are. I wonder if 'Normal' means that I can use an unlatched Footswitch with an LED, and the LED stays on/off, matching the processor effect status... See this awesome video by another Boss User explaining this, but using a Boss GT-1 coupled with an FS-7: • Boss GT-1 & Boss FS-7 ... I'll update, if so!
Please 'like' to help get this video to others who might find this video helpful, and comment with any updates/corrections, or if you have any questions.
