Ahh matey you haven’t let anyone down! Loved the video - your enthusiasm for brewing and life is always lovely to see on camera and an inspiration. Brilliant you managed to do a side by side tasting. We usually favour our own brews over the originals too tbh and we’ve had great feedback about the Ghost Ship. Thanks so much for the great video and many kind words. We will send you something else soon, that’s a promise! Cheers 🍺
Loving the beer it’s beautiful really appreciate you sending it. Thanks for the very kind words cheers 👍🍻
You let no one down Rick the beer was fantastic and I would choose yours any day over the original!
Your enthusiasm is infectious and it’s another video from the master that made my night!
You sir are an absolute credit to the home brewing community👍👍👍👍👍👍
Ahh bless you ,means a lot coming from you.It was a pleasure meeting you at Retford really enjoyed your company you are such a great lovely genuine bloke. Thanks so much for the support I really appreciate you cheers 👍🏼🍻
Great Stuff
👍🍻
Well done Rick. Great video
Cheers 👍🏼🍻
Great video this one Rick.
I find it interesting how many times I prefer my version of a beer that I've copied, just like you prefer that one. There's something about the freshness, or the body.... or something....
It's something that people who don't brew, or understand/appreciate homebrewing, can't get their head around. We know it, that's why we do it huh?
Nice work. 🍺🍺🍺🍺👍👍
Thanks for the lovely comment and I definitely agree with you cheers 👍🍻
Sounds and looks lovely Rick, will have to order this AG kit.
Great work matey 🍺
You’ll not regret getting it it’s a lovely drop cheers for tuning in 👍🏼🍻
Brewing includes a lot of remembering... 😉 I never remember what i forgot! And a cloudy beer is sometimes even better...Thank´s for another entertaining video!🍻
That has made me laugh out loud 🤣😂fantastic comment. Cheers for watching and commenting again 👍🏼🍻
Nowadays people are far too fussy about brewing; as recently as the American revolution (for cider anyway) mills were mostly powered by horses, which where of course powered by horses. Hence the fact that the must was mere feet from errrr.....HORSESHIT. I do think there's a danger of becoming overly unscrupulous about cleanliness, but let's be realistic.
@@BrewabitRick thank you for your comment, sir. I've been brewing for 14 years and have just stumbled upon your channel and I enjoy much. While I don't brew in total filth (i.e. I use clean vessels and utensils) I definitely don't sanitize my hands, or equipment, and have never suffered an infection. Though I know this way is not for everyone. God bless and please keep up the amazing work 👍
@@BrewabitRick thank you for your comment. I enjoy your show
@@robertmooney1492 cheers 👍🏼🍻
A great paramedic and brewer is Rick ,
“Brew Brothers”
@@bexnpaul1 bless you thanks for the lovely comment cheers 👍🏼🍻
Went Adnams brewery last year, did the tour and the tastings. Your skills to get anywhere near that are great work Rick.
Looks a great kit, top job from yourself and the brewbros. Cheers \_/
I’m really enjoying it cheers 👍🍻
That was an absolute epic of a video, I really enjoyed it. Don't be too quick to go to another clone straight away. Go and brew it again and eliminate the small mistakes you made. Brew it 3 or 4 times in a row and really fine tune it. Stick with it. Cheers mate awesome video.😎👍
Great advice cheers 👍🍻
You’re big time now! You won’t be paying for a kit from here on out!… lol. Great video 🍻
lol big time may be stretching it a bit 🤣👍🍻
Wouldn't worry about not being clear, sounds like it's has much better flavour than the Adnams. It's a lovely beer on cask I must say...( laughed me head off with the elephant😂😂) great vid that Rick👍🍺👏👏
It’s going down a treat cheers for watching and commenting 👍🍻
Loving the accuracy of the water additions 🤣
Meanwhile I'm over here worrying about 0.1g like a schmuck
lol but your a professional not a amateur like me cheers 👍🍻
@@BrewabitRick Hah, just because I hang a spray bottle of sanitiser on my FV :D
@@RichardPattersonNZ 🤣😂👍
I'll take great cloudy beer over clear good/ok beer! Cheers 🍻 😀👍
I’m with you cheers 👍🍻
Hi Rick
Hope your good well an update I brewed the ghost ship clone , and what can I say firstly brewed fermented and conditioned all pretty standard absolutely no concerns and pulled first pint after about three weeks of conditioning ( I hooked up to co2 at 30psi for the first 4 days then unhooked and just left ). Those pints smelt like a ghost ship tasted like a ghost ship but looked like a sunken ship so murky and cloudy so reverted back to basic added gelatine purged keg and left for 72 hours then oh my god what a pint crystal clear and to all intents and purposes it’s a commercial ghost ship if not better a great brew so big yes get this from Brewbros 🍺🍺🍺🍺
@@PaulSmith-hc5rs I definitely enjoyed it,I’ve never used gelatine but may get some in to have a go with although as I said I don’t get down if it’s not clear. I’m definitely going to try a few others of theirs. Ive just brewed 2 tankard brewing all grain kits and they are conditioning. Thanks for sharing your experience, watching, commenting it’s appreciated cheers 👍🍻
Wow look at you! Finally some free stuff😂🍻smooth sailing!
Cheers 👍🏼🍻
Great video again Rick, I wish I knew how you always get such good carbonation, and regardless of the clarity that beer looks bangin, your enthusiasm is always makes it sir, keep it up
Thanks I’ve got to be honest I absolutely fudge the carbonation. I’ve seen charts and absolutely don’t understand them. I couldn’t even do a video on carbonation because I’m fudging it as I go along. Thanks for the kind words that’s what motivates me to keep doing videos. I appreciate you cheers 👍🏼🍻
Btw, thanks to you and the Malt Miller I’m hoping to embark on my very first all grain (smash) this weekend in my new and first Klarstien (very basic 35ltr model), can’t wait
@@christhorn6227 good luck and if you need any help reach out 👍🏼🍻
Thanks Rick! 👍
Are you joking I’ve also got a couple of tankard brews as well the little willies Bonnie’s bitter and the Churchill’s, will love seeing a vid of yours Rick and hope it goes well.
Paul 🍺🍺
@@PaulSmith-hc5rs looking forward to trying them I’m a big fan of the lads 👍🍻
Where can I get that shirt??? It's awesome!!!
You can get the t shirt and others from www.brewbrosshop.co.uk they have a few styles cheers 👍🍻
mmmmm, much prefer hazy over clear, I never use protafloc.....:)
I’m not fussed either it’s beautiful cheers 👍🏼🍻
Hi Rick great vid and what a coincidence having just brought the exact same 20l ghost ship kit from Brewbros , just one quick question from your experience of brewing it and is that did you stick to the water volumes that are in the instructions ? Because I thought the water volumes of approximately 32l seemed a little high for a 20l brew and weight of the grain bill , maybe that’s why you didn’t hit the abv.
Cheers Paul 🍺🍺🍺
I didn’t follow the volume instructions, I know my kit so used the volumes I usually do. Knowing my boil off rate I went with that. I use 22ltrs to mash in then sparge to 30 ltrs but as I didn’t notice it was a 20 ltr batch ( it was on everything they gave me enough hints 🤣) I was low but definitely my bad not the instructions or kit. Good luck with the brew I love the kit hope you do too. I’d love to hear how it turns out cheers 👍🍻
Awesome video mate. I might have to give that one a go.
Where did you get your own glass from? I’m looking to make one with my own logo lol
Hi thanks I’m loving the beer. The glass was a present so not sure where it came from but seen them on eBay and Amazon. Cheers 👍🏼🍻
