When Layne passed I thought AIC was over. Never been happier to be proved wrong.
Much love and respect 🤘🏻
I think this is Jerry just having fun and doing what he loves. I'm not sure he gets enough credit for what he's done but I really do appreciate it, thank you Jerry and Layne and the rest of AIC.
Jerry never changed his calm ways. I don’t know if he’s calm as a person, but the way he carries himself publicly is very laxed. He is definitely not an LA typical Hollywood rockstar.
He deserves the millions in his bank

For us teens who loves Alice In Chains, we were born in the right generation! The band is still kickin ass even after Layne. Forever will he be missed. I can absolutely tell Jerry had a blast with this album the band wouldn’t be the same without him , Duval is an amazing vocalist, I’m just so happy that they still make bangers and I hope they do for a long time!
Completely agree, no replacing Layne, but thank goodness they decided to continue, I don't look forward to much new music so getting new Alice in Chains is amazing!!
Jerry has always been the musical heavyweight in the band. I think many of the newer fans would be surprised by just how much of the material was written by Jerry, and sung by him as well. He is the brain behind Alice in Chains, and has been since the beginning. There is no AIC without him.
I love Layne's time with the band, but yeah, no Jerry, no Chains.
I am very happy to see good bands like AIC bounce back after they lost Layne and Mike, I really am
💯 brother! AIC forever!
I still find it astonishing how well this band can reignite their 30 something year sound over and over so well, it’s such a rare phenomenon
Exactly. Their sound is still fresh and as real as it was back then. Different time and a lot has changed. Rest In Peace Layne Staley

The world needs Alice in Chains.

I don't speak for most but thank God we still have Alice in Chains
Sad
I agree. This is my favorite band.
I second that. The heart is most definitely still there
LAYNE SYALEY is dead........ they should have changed the name
@@joshcrews3466 bullshit aic has always been and will be Cantrell, he was an AMAZING singer tho
This album is growing on me so much. I really liked it when it first dropped, but of late, I caught myself falling in love with so many tracks.
When Jerry comes in on Rainier Fog it hits so hard
My god I love this band
Never felt so invested in a beer's character and his story arc ever. One of my fav AIC music videos for sure
Oh man, this clip is hilarious. Love that AIC humour, so out of left field. Yes, thank the good Lord that we still have Alice in Chains....all 6 members really, as Layne and Mike are always with us in spirit when we play the original legendary masterpieces, or watch an old music video from MTV days. I love the artistry of their early clips, for songs like Again, Down in a Hole....too many to mention.
Those of us who grew up in the NW in the 1970s and 1980s will never forget the Wild Rainiers.
R.I.P layne ..A.I.C. still kickin ass after all these years
Don't forget Mike Star!.
Alice in chains videos have always been kinda weird but this is a whole new level lol😂😂😂😂 I love these guys❤
I learned recently that Layne directed all their old ones : O
The last videos of Black Label Society too xd this kind of videos are so funny 😂
@@judgeholden6761 cool, that makes me love them even more
im just waiting for the new Rainier Fog Pale Ale
The entire video is an inside joke for people who grew up in the PNW.
Tell me about a timeless band, you could be born in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s or 2000s, the songs that Alice in Chains came up with will connect with ANYONE

“You can find me writhing in the ghost of the song”
What a great line!
Oh yeah for sure
What does writhing mean?
Sikpuppy kinda like squirming in pain, uncomfortable...etc
For all of you that didn't grow up or live in the Pacific Northwest in North America (Washington State, Oregon, Idaho, British Colombia, and surrounding areas) during the 1970's and 80's, there were these Ranier beer commercials on television that featured their beer bottles with legs and arms .Rainer beer also had another commercial that started out with a long windy road to Mt. Rainer (tallest mountain in the lower 48 states in Washington State) in the backdrop and you would hear a motorcycle coming and pass on the road gradually building up making it seem like the exhaust sound was RRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAIIIIIINNNNNNNEEEEEERRRRRR BBBBBEEEEEEEERRRR as he shifts through the gears. Tthen of course the obvious Sasquatch A.K.A. Bigfoot we are infamous for up here in the Pacific Northwest.
I'm sure I totally missed the mark trying to explain it, and will hear about it so your best bet is to just do a vintage Rainier Beer commercial search on here. lol
***May 28,2019 - I just wanted to add I was quite shocked by the response on here and all the comment and love sent my way! I think all of the Alice In Chains fans are like one big family and we all cherish the old and miss Layne like crazy, but can appreciate and move on with the new members. Thanks to everyone of you that took the time to read my comment and reply, I wish all of you the best!

Jerry and blue beard is an amazing combo 😂
When Jerry said that this was an album he was really proud of, I can see why. I personally think the last three albums have been a fantastic addition to the AIC catalogue and anyone who suggests that they are substandard to any of the earlier albums has not really given them a good listen. Rainier Fog is one of my favorite albums at the moment and I am so glad they carried on with Will and made more great music.
So anyone who disagrees with you is wrong? That's just straight up ignorant. It's ok to like post Layne AIC, BUT it's also ok if you don't... It's that simple
@Sara Toole Your fucking stupid, you should trash your theory of major because you don't know shit!

I feel like I grew up with Jerry, Layne, Sean, Mike, and Mike.
It’s a weird thing. Came of age with them anyway. I was a sophomore or junior in high school when they happened and I became an adult with them.
I love them like I can’t explain.
Woah, that’s cool. It must be extra special for the fans in their same age group. You guys grew up with them, society wise you guys saw it happen together. Layne and Starr’s passing must have been tough for you. *tears*

that's some deep Seattle callbacks to Rainier beer and the Ivar's clams. Brilliant!
Pretty sure a Harry and the Henderson's reference too
Alice was my favorite band as a teen, and now at almost 40 they're still my favorite! I'm SO glad they found a way to push through and keep making incredible music after Layne!
God I loved those old Rainer commercials as a kid...lol amazing
Beautiful video. Layne would be proud of how far you’ve come. Keep rocking AIC!

Easily one of the most killer songs ever. Long live AIC.
It's cool to see the guys having fun. The songs awesome, the whole album is in fact. This was one of my favourites from it.
This will only make sense if you grew up or were in the PNW in the 80’s and remember the old Rainier Beer add campaigns. Creatively done! Always listened to this song with the mountain in mind...this was a nice spin.
The nod to Rainier beer commercials was the cherry on top. Love you guys!!
In a few hours I will see them live in Birmingham UK 24.05.2019. R.I.P Layne and Mike Starr. Long live William, Jerry, Mike Inez and Sean !!!
So how was the show man?
By the look of it, the show was so good he quit his job, sold his house and now him and his dog follow AIC everywhere and never miss a show!
How was it???
@@InvectivePleasure he never came back
I’m glad Jerry chose to continue AIC, which must have been an almost impossible decision given that Layne is irreplaceable. However, I will say that William DuVall does great paying tribute.
Agreed. I'd even say with as many albums now under his belt, DuVall has cut his slice into AIC. It's like how ACDC fans loved Bon Scott but then Brian Johnson came into the scene and well...if good is good it can't be denied!
No doubt, it was a great decision to continue, Jerry Sean and mike all deserved to continue on making a living doing what they love with the band they built, it’s super sad what happened to Layne and he’s a legend but AIC will always be Jerry’s baby. They may not be at their peak like they were with Layne but they are still one of the best bands in the business and rock live. William is also a great musician and a fantastic match with Jerry, they have fantastic chemistry and harmonize better than just about anyone, I can’t stand the William Duvall slander, we all miss Layne but he does a great job paying tribute performing the old music and he kicks ass on the new material, he doesn’t deserve the shit he gets from a lot of people. Anyway so glad AIC is still around, still one of the best bands on the planet and I’m so happy Jerry/Sean/mike are continuing on doing what they love with the band they love, fuckin legends.
@@joshuaweston4489 exactly, William Duvall has now actually been active in AIC longer than Layne, the last 4-5 years Of Layne’s life he wasn’t even active with the band outside of get born again and one other song that slips my mind and no performances after like 96/97. Duvall has now been performing with AIC for 15 years and has released 3 albums, he also has been playing with Jerry for 20 yrs. he’s earned his spot and the haters can fuck off, AIC still kicks ass and I’m grateful the band added will and they’ve continued on the legacy of the band and Layne. They’re still one of the best in the business and like you said good is good
AIC's last two albums are two of the best albums they've released. I wish Layne could have found his way out of the sludge, but his death does not invalidate everything that follows.

After losing my personal friend in 2002, I've been very against Chains with Duvall. I realized that I am being very selfish, for this is one one the last bands that still tours that I can experience & I thank you Jerry for reminding me why I still love you. See you in MD 2022 backstage! Yes, Duvall singing Layne's pain is hard to grasp, but I know he lives on through all of you, especially Jerry, Mike, & Sean. Plus I know Layne gives William his blessings, so I do too.

Welcome to the club.
I hate that people confuse Stadium Country for Country music. A lot of rock bands have back grounds in country (famously Nirvana). I really recommend you listen to "Teaser and the Firecat" by Cat Stevens, "At Folsom Prison" by Johnny Cash, "Honky Château" by Elton John, "American Beauty" by The Grateful Dead and if you really find that you enjoy real Country give "I'd Rather Be Sailing" by Black Oak Arkansas a listen.
My opinion on Country Music is that those who hate it haven’t found it’s highest heights. Hank Williams Jr., Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash are expressions of music that weren’t just trying to be popular or billboard top 100 hits. There is true emotion and care in their music. The pain in Love Hate Love is found in Mr. Weatherman, Cash’s cover of Hurt, or Lonesome, Onry, and Mean.
i remember the wild beers from the early 80s tv commercials!
Totally brilliant
