Will is fucking killing it! I don’t give a fuck what anyone says. This man is perfect for the job! So glad the lads are back together and pushing through!
Not true. Look up "Facelift Would? @ HOB", then look up "Facelift - Love Hate Love" . After that listen to "Chout Seasons". After that, for another studio recording, listen to "Skorned - Psychosis Music". He sounds *so much* like Layne here it's insane. For a longer live set, check out "Brendan Maier & Jar of Flies - Layne Staley Tribute". Brendan Maier is seriously the closest thing to Layne other than Layne himself. No one on UA-cam at least comes anywhere close to this guy, and he BLOWS AWAY DuVall as far as old AIC songs go.
That Brendon dude is a good Layne emulator, but has no other talent than that. People should get over the fact that Layne is dead and has been for over twenty friggin years. I have and I've been a fan since the 1990s, but I don't dwell on the past as some hopeless romantic. Layne was a junkie and that killed him, which is tragic but a reality.
@@MrLBPug Will has also been in AiC longer than Layne ever has. Being reliable, alive , and staying alive is very important and Will gives that to the rest of the band. They deserve to tour and be able to show up to obligations with a peace of mind not wondering whether or not they’re going to have scoop their lead singer out of a bathroom stall at some Burger King.
Damn this guy sucks. The fact that they didn't change their name and then do such a disservice trying to cover the songs Layne made popular is so disrespectful.
The whole band besides Layne is still alive and playing in the band. Carrying on as Alice in Chains is not disrespectful to Layne. You think Layne wouldn't have wanted his band to carry on and perform their music for people? Of course he's not going to sound like Layne, he's not supposed to be Layne, he's a different guy. He's doing a great job for what he's expected to perform. I think it's disrespectful not just to William Duvall, but to the entire band, including Layne, to say that they shouldn't be playing their music anymore. They are keeping Alice in Chains alive and continuing to make their own music. A band member's death does not always mean the end of the band, they can continue to carry the legacy and do great things, honoring the memory of their friends.
Tough shoes to fill.
I love how people still act like Layne died yesterday and William hasn't been in the band for 16 years by now lol.
@@spectre722 he doesn’t have one 10th on Laynes energy or spirit. Sad truth my friend
@@stevestiffler9120he’s still great and seems like a great dude. And he’s made 3 great albums with AiC just like Layne.
I think he filled them pretty good 👍
Hard to replace a legend but glad we still get new music from Alice in chains. William does a great job.@@spectre722

Very much so.
Will is a BEAST. So talented man
The camera guys cared nothing about the bass player
Will is putting his soul into it!
He is the natural replacement.
Time moves on.
No one can ever sing this song or play the song like the original singer Layne Stanley!

Sounds good but not the same. Layne is not replaceable.
Is that the point then? Of course not. It's the same as saying that Mike Inez can't replace Mike Starr, the previous bass player 🙄
Thanks,this was dope
Los amoo
Superb job will
why nobody is jummping or doing headbang :( thats an awesome song, thaks for share
Because all us are fans are mid 40’s and need to save our knees for the gym 😁😁
😂 true enough … I’m 43
Because is not Layne, Layne energy was different of everything..
Because we are all trying not to cry while we miss Layne and Mike Starr
@@stephenmontgomery5807 I'm 30 and a big fan of Alice In Chains.
Malcolm Gladwell really brings it.
Nice, very nice.
Como queria que Layne staley estivesse nos palcos hoje😇🎸😔
Will is doing amazing I can’t lie
Thanks for the share.
We’re they headlining or an opening act?
Opened for Guns N Roses
He’s got a decent voice. But he’s no Layne. Nobody could truly fill those shoes. And this song is a prime example of that
I never believed I could sing however everyone I know tells me I sound just like Layne. Is it possible that someone wants to give my sound a try
Record a vid and post it
@@idk-ux8yd agreed i gotta see this
i belt it out better than this at my factory job, but then again i've been singing it since it was released.
😂😂 so bad this nothing beats layne
horrible
