Does anyone else watch this video and have flawless wings for about two weeks, then they start to get wonkier and wonkier, go back and watch it and then they are on point again? Please tell me I am not the only one!!
You are an outstanding teacher!!! You combine precise understanding of your medium and materials, understanding of others' needs and challenges, super clear communication, high standards, and fun. Within 2 videos you had improved my process and increased how much I enjoy make-up..., which anyone will tell you, is hard to imagine. after watching this video today....I have to say, yes Jaclyn, you have changed. BUT, in such an amazing way. The difference that I see is NOT that you are "fake" now....you are HAPPIER! You are so much more full of life and the joy in your heart and in your eyes is what has changed. You inspire me to choose happiness. You inspire me to look for the good in my day instead of dwelling on things I cannot change. Keep it up girl! You deserve every bit of happiness you have found. :) love you!

This winged eyeliner looked so great and you make it look so easy. Please do more of these videos. I know it's so beginner for you at this point because you're an expert but I love it. It inspires me to get these techniques down pat because you have all these great looks.

Best2McCoy its my favorite eyeliner, it comes with a brush, but I loved that she used a different one. I think im going to try that next time.
Does it tend to dry out like some brow pomades?
Gabriela Martinez if it does dry out, dip your brush in something to moisten it up. I use vit e oil + setting spray

I am watching and rewatching this one. I finally tried this morning to do my first winged eyeliner look. It wasn't horrible, but it definitely wasn't as beautiful as when you do it. I'm hoping practice makes perfect? I was trying really hard to remember what you said lol AND- I have the exact same maybelline gel liner.
Also- I think your natural look- no makeup, is quite beautiful. You are very lucky to have such natural makeup.
I have watched SO many tutorials on winged liner and this has been, hands down, the BEST tutorial and explanation on how to get the perfect wing. Thanks so much, can't wait to try it out tomorrow!

I think I just came from one of your newer videos where you said it's not fun to do a video about how to do your eyeliner but THANK YOU! It was really informative from how your brush tip looks, how you maintain your brush, your first brush stroke, and then WHY you add another brush stroke because of "the tabletop" flatness of the line. I love these insights! Thank you.

I love watching your videos...you make the most difficult things so easy. You explain and demonstrate things in such a easy to understand and do way. I have recently gained a love of makeup that I didn't have when I was younger. I realize now that it is because I didn't know how to do my makeup properly so I didn't like wearing it. Now I love wearing it and playing with different looks. I'm so glad I found your channel!

Totally switching to gel liner. It seems so much more forgiving than liquid.
Shayla Poindexter it really is! I have used the same maybelline liner for over 5 years and it's super forgiving and doesn't bleed and I live in Arizona where it gets to 120 degrees and no other liner holds up to it!

The only problem I have is how to make both eyes look similar.
My one liner always goes up and it's way too long and other goes up and it's way too small. :(
ATTENTION PLEASE: in Jaclyn's makeup brush video she said that she now uses the Sigma E65 and she said it's so much better and it's a lot cheaper. So again, it's the SIGMA E65.

For me, I can usually do my left eye perfectly since I'm left-handed but when I try to do my right eye it always looks really bad and I don't know how to hold my brush while applying the eyeliner

I've been watching this girl for a long time and I noticed the change to but I've always loved you Jackie you will just keep being you .don't let anybody ever make you feel like you don't know how to do ur thing. I think it's a nice thing that you girls are on here showing us how to do makeup and if anyone doesn't like what you do they just change the channel and move on but thank you for all your tips and trades and this the first time I understand how to do it because it always looks so funny when I do it.

I bought ELF's gel eyeliner so that I could practice it with a cheaper one but I'm definitely getting the Maybelline once I get the hang of things. Don't listen to the people who make negative comments. They don't realize how incredibly unique we all are. You obviously have great skin because you take care of it, and there ARE people out there who do not get pimples (get over it people). You are perfect just the way you are and the people in your life who actually matter are the ones that get you no matter what! Stay beautiful girl and keep posting those awesome videos! So glad I found your channel!!

I had a very dramatic smokey eye on the night before and this was the next morning....im SO sorry that every speck of makeup wasnt taken out of my lash line.
Oh my god, I'm so mad. I have a 210 MAC brush when I wanted the 208 or something like that and I feel like its so much harder to do with a non-angled brush! Ladies, don't make that mistake get the 208!!!
You can also get the Sigma E65 and even Jaclyn said that she hasn't gone back to the MAC 208 since she discovered the E65 and bye the sigma brush is cheaper than the Mac one.
Lol that's okay I got another angled brush from MAC but I've long given up on gel liner. I've switched to liquid again. My new favorite is the Kat Von D felt tip :D awesome
Honestly I've never been good at using a gel liner. But no other kind of eyeliner worked for me, it just wasn't my thing- and I own the same gel liner you do in this video. So I was like alright im gonna do it if it sucks, it sucks. I can wash it off it does so who cares. But I did it and I love it and it makes me feel like I have that extra finished look. Once again, a life saver. Thanks Jaclyn 😄

Updated eyeliner !!!
How would you do winged liner in hooded eyes? I've always wanted to do a winged liner but it never turns out.
I have hooded eyes and what helps me is instead of doing it directly following the bottom lash line, I go just a but more down the corner lash line that way you can actually see the wing. Does that make sense? I'm a horrible explainer lol
About 5 minutes ago I watched a tutorial Lustrelux did and she addresses this exact issue because she has hooded eyes. You may have to scroll a bit, but it's not terrible :)
Stephanie Lange has hooded eyes and does a bunch of tutorials for them. She has one specifically for hooded too. She's pretty good too.

To apply eyeliner to your waterline~
pull bottom eyelid away from eyeball with the end of a makeup brush (fingers can pull too hard and can cause wrinkles in the future) and put the eyeliner as close to the innermost part, farther away from your eyelashes and work your way around the the lash line, when you are applying eyeliner it may get in your lashes and become clunky, don't worry just get it out with your fingers, hope this helps

I have the hardest time trying to perfect this. I've purchased about 7 different liners and and some brushes. I happen to have the same gel liner but I was using a pointed brush. This morning i"ll use an angle brush. Thanks !
Have you tried putting dish wash liquid in a cup or ramekin and adding a drop or two of oil (to clean cream products off brushes) I use this environmently friendly dish soap and Tarte Maracuja oil… works wonders.

Does she have eyeliner tattoos?
No. She has said in previous tutorials that she does her gel liner and wipes it off but it leaves a residue that gives her a simple lined look. Even without makeup. It's leftovers.

If reality is having perfect, flawless skin with some freckles and the occasional, normal, small, every-human-has-one pimple bump here or there, then I choose reality over caked foundation any day. I'm trying to say you look better natural with just your eyes lightly done up or whatever =).

I would like to thank you for posting this video. I have a physical disability which makes it kinda difficult for me to apply eyeliner but I adore the look. Applying it takes me twice as long as others. I watch eyeliner application videos to learn tips and tricks and hopefully get faster at applying. But you explained so much and made the application so easy, I was able to apply my eyeliner, with the results I wanted. in no time this morning. Again thank you so much!

she wasn't wearing mascara and u can tell cuz at the end of the video she posts a pic with the mascara. and the bottom liner is probably stuck or wasn't removed well when she removed her makeup. plus, y do u even give a fuck?
