we gearing up for metroidvania month, then almost right after it's shocktober time baby, thanks to Telltale for sponsoring the video, buy The Expanse right here - wehy.pe/y/1/Indeimaus
the russia level was my entire childhood. knocking out every guard out and bringing them all in one spot and setting up hilarious saw traps for them. u can even knock out the pilot, random civilians and even the rabbits. im not sure i could play this as creatively as i used to since i dont have the patience of infinite time as an adult
Reminds me of playing SW:TPM on the PS1. This one level, Mos Eisley, if you lure the guards out of town with a force push and kill them out of sight of everyone else you can eliminate all the guards and then go crazy killing the civilians without retribution. Of course, don't ever kill the Jawa, that's a death sentence regardless of how or when.
sucks being an adult. All of life is just about soul crushing work, and then paying bills. Rinse and repeat. If only we could be free to do what we please.
What sucks is that this game ends on something of a cliffhanger that'll probably never be followed up on because no one knows who owns the IP. And what's worse, I don't think anyone even cares to fight for it anymore.
When I think about NOLF2 I always remember how expressive the eyes were on the characters, and I'm glad this video confirmed it! Just looking at the NOLF1&2 comparisons really cements what a big step forward it was for making characters feel real.
I thought "Hey, a lot of people making NOLF videos lately... Then I realised that the last video I saw about it was from you. I can feel my mind crumbling... Like a sandcastle being undermined by the rising tide.
Really sad he skipped over that. He's the monstrous super soldier who chases after Kate, mistaking her for his daughter Abigail. He ends up sacrificing himself at the end to destroy a missile and avert war between US and the Soviets.
That boxing machine was more horrific than a lot of things I've seen in actual horror games. Game looks fucking cool, if not quite as cool as the first one. This franchise didn't deserve what happened to it.
Regarding the identity of the HARM director as the drunk guy from the first NOLF: Wasn't there a post-credit cut-scene at the end of NOLF, revealing both that Volkov is alive and that the drunkard is the director? That's how I seem to remember it. (Though Volkov was shown as completely fine, while in NOLF2 they changed that to the wheelchair, casts and bandages ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
I never played the original but I remember this game fondly, just something about Monolith shooters was so appealing at the time. You can see so many mechanics in this game before they made them better in FEAR. I recommend also trying Tron 2.0, such a great game, and was a true sequel to Tron movie before Tron Legacy came out.
4:31 I haven’t played this in like 20 years, but so far as I remember, if you do decide to shoot the bird, Santa’s got a few different things he’ll say: “Please don’t shoot the bird.” “Don’t shoot the bloody bird.” “Shooting the bird is a waste of money!” And now you know.
Yes they did and LCG bought the name/company and probably rehired a few old employees and has been doing their best to bring telltale back to their former glory
Always good to see your beautiful mug Indei! You get a like just for the kitty. 😊 I just had to put my 20 year old cat to rest which was like losing a son. But it's nice to see others who adopt such sweet and gentle creatures ❤
@@MammalianCreature??? I mean to be honest, most the nerds I know prefer female protagonists because it’s “empowering” and “represents them”, despite the fact they’re a dude or something like that.
@@marcar9marcar972 Most the nerds I know prefer female protagonists because they don't like watching dude ass for however long the game is, either that or hitboxes.
@@marcar9marcar972 I disagree, for me it has nothing to do with that. I just like female lead characters that have great personality, great looks and not the woke stuff i've seen lately. Even 2B is on my "questionable" level of character. There was just something special about these 90s and early 2000 female characters like Lara Croft for example.
A curse being a blessing in disguise. True it not as good as the first one but a cool franchise nonetheless. Who knows, with enough TLC this could ba gold than a gem.
I guess Windows 11 (which I guess you are running) is (finally?) becoming more hostile to past applications? I suggest you look into virtual machines in the future, if you are to play such old games. I cannot tell you how difficult it might be to do that, it shouldn't be too hard I believe, but I believe it wouldn't be very difficult, if at all, to record (from?) a VM.
@ chapter 5. Big Code Veronica vibes!!! PS. SIR! I am once again pleading with you to make a front zip hoodie design for shocktober! PLES! (Also keep up the great work!) ;)
Not going to lie, but I thought one of the people in the thumbnail was Hikari from Octopath Traveler 2, and I was SO excited to see a video on it from you, only to be like "Wait a minute, this isn't that game I was excited to see."
Good to see you back mouse. You think for shocktober or something you can play cry of fear or total chaos. Cry of fear is a half life mod and total chais is a mod for doom 2. If not thats fine i think u'll like em though. Anyway your still my favorite UA-camr

Wait telltale is back?
yes! more metroidvania!
Was going back and forth about buying Telltale's Expanse, but is this helps you sure, why not (you are right about Tales from the Borderlands btw).
@indeimaus So... are you just going to ignore the other game in the series then? There was a prequel released to NOLF2 called Contract J.A.C.K.
Let's goooo i love Metroidvania month
I have to admit, the gag with the rabbits instead of the rabid weasels is pretty funny.

The funniest was hiding and listening to them talk to each other...and a few times I saw one peeing...hysterical! I loved this game!
What sucks is that this game ends on something of a cliffhanger that'll probably never be followed up on because no one knows who owns the IP. And what's worse, I don't think anyone even cares to fight for it anymore.
Maybe it's better that way. Can't imagine what they'd do to Kate Archer to make her "suitable for modern audiences". She's perfect as is.

Bless be the Maus has uploaded
Bless be the fruit loops.
With the writer and actor strikes, it is up to the over-worked Indeimaus to entertain us. He deserves a vacation!
12:00 how to try faking a russian accent and suddenly turn Schwarzenegger with "Gib me your cloths, NAO!"
I thought "Hey, a lot of people making NOLF videos lately... Then I realised that the last video I saw about it was from you.
I can feel my mind crumbling... Like a sandcastle being undermined by the rising tide.
This game...it's my childhood in a nutshell.
Never played the original until much later. I should get back to that someday.
God these graphics take me back. Love it when you cover these old games!
"You're never gonna hear about NOLF again"
- said Indeimaus, not knowing about Contract J.A.C.K.
I really hope he does a video on it.
The tragic and horrific fate of Joseph Anders is the real thing I remember NOLF 2 for.
Still hasn't recovered from it.
Really sad he skipped over that. He's the monstrous super soldier who chases after Kate, mistaking her for his daughter Abigail. He ends up sacrificing himself at the end to destroy a missile and avert war between US and the Soviets.
Shame he didn't like this one as much as the older game, though admittedly this one looked stunning back in the day ^^
Still looks surprisingly good. And the animation in cutscenes is great for the time (did they use mocap??)
That boxing machine was more horrific than a lot of things I've seen in actual horror games. Game looks fucking cool, if not quite as cool as the first one. This franchise didn't deserve what happened to it.
An Indeimaus video on a friday after rough week, blessing on you!
The first one was such an amazing video and you've topped that. Great job Indeimaus! Thanks for covering these old games.
Your first NOLF video is one of my favorite videos of yours, so I'm here for this one
26:19 there we have Scatman himself
Regarding the identity of the HARM director as the drunk guy from the first NOLF: Wasn't there a post-credit cut-scene at the end of NOLF, revealing both that Volkov is alive and that the drunkard is the director? Yes, and it's even shown in a screenshot here, where this video creator suggests that it wasn't part of the plan all along (?!?).
There's also a spin off game Contract J.A.C.K.
The thing i hated about this game was the constant enemeis respawn each time you knocked out an enemie, took out all the fun of being stealthy
Yes very much so, the Siberia section suffered massively for this.
Better eye-work in this game than current releases.
woah, I'm actually here this early!
Edit: I'm loving the videos. You're quickly becoming one of my favorite personalities on the platform.
9:32 hey, I think that's the guy who Johnson tells to shut his chili hole in Halo 2!
I NEEDED THIS, THANK YOU.
I have never heard of this game, but the asthetic it has with the old graphics still holds up. An old game isn't a bad game because of it's graphics.
It's from 2002.... It's technological marvel of its era. I remember buying a new computer practically just for this game.
3:35 wow, that's some Ghost Trick soundtrack nostalgia, very nice.
Rendom splatoon music at 8:37 😂❤ that catched me thank u for that xD
The ending is proof this game deserves a proper TV show
That Croc music hit me with nostalgia, I wanna watch you struggle with those tank controls 😂
Hope NOLF1&2 got a remake. But I guess the jokes couldn't be accepted nowadays I guess

Still one of my top fav UA-camrs! I enjoy all your game commentary even if i have no interest in the game itself🎉
Didn't Telltale Games die? And if that IS the case, who's wearing their corpse like a meat puppet?
Yes they did and LCG bought the name/company and probably rehired a few old employees and has been doing their best to bring telltale back to their former glory
Thanks for the NOLF videos Indei! Looking forward to Metroidvania month!

Aww lost mine at 17, he was my lily guy till the end.
I can’t think of a game studio with a more dubious sequel record than Monolith
I absolutely love games with such great female lead main characters.
This comment gonna annoy the nerds

Thank you so much for playing this fun game!!
hearing theres metroidvania and shocktober in the works makes me so happy. great news ty
Gotta say, I like the humor of both! It honestly feels very similar to the humor in Stubbs the Zombie, of which is a classic fav for me.
Loving the content as always!

“YOU’RE BETTER OFF AS AN ORPHAN.”
Chapter 3's environment and dingy location is pretty accurate if you know anything about Akron.
love the exhale sfx in the theme song
The writing in these games is seriously good ^^
Thanks for the content! Looking forward to next month!
theres actually a cutscene at the end of nolf 1 where the fat man is revealed. it's pretty good.
Always a good day when Indei uploads.
You entirely glossed over the arc with that super soldier from the arctic base.
3:11 he also looks eerily similar to Kevin Spacey.
I can't unsee the H.A.R.M. boss as Kevin Spacey
The wesel trap was actually a good joke,I liked that one.
love your videos as always
Since you are making your way through the Monolith catalog, give Shogo Mobile Armor Division a shot. It's pretty weird
Another plus over the original game is the actual Indian accents. This game was ahead of its time.
Oh my God the conversation about the monkey!
What in tarnation
You look so much like your avatar... I am just flabbergasted how simple and accurate it is. I just want to stare at your face...

Saw the thumbnail and thought, "Is that Azula?)
You shoudl play the spinoff game Contract J.A.C.K. too!
No no no, we ain’t gonna just skip by that little butthole of a teaser for shocktober. BRING IT ON!
That's very cool and all, but now you have to make a video for "Contract J.A.C.K." too :) Cheers!
"You're better of as an orphan"
she's just like me fr

the way he says bananas sounds computer generated
This is quality content right here
the quality of the game being this good only 3 years after the first nolf is crazy tho
Good to see you back mouse. You think for shocktober or something you can play cry of fear or total chaos. Cry of fear is a half life mod and total chais is a mod for doom 2. If not thats fine i think u'll like em though. Anyway your still my favorite UA-camr
next stop - metroidvania month!
New Maus vid nice!
Still one of the hottest female protags of all time
Love these games tbh. Super hyped for shocktober this year though!
Praise be
Don't often get nostalgic but miss these games sooo bleeding much:)
