The last three times we went, pre pandemic, we had to be quiet on parts of the tour because they were filming. It was so cool to see the lots being used.
Hey! Would we be able to feature some clips from the Earthquake part of the tour in a video on our channel? With on-screen credit of course! Let us know :D
Hi TPMvids! Love your channel - We watch all the time :) You can absolutely use clips from the Universal Studios Tour - Happy to support other creators! Let me know if there's anything I can do to help!
I took this tram tour in June, 1965. We got to see the outdoor sets for McHale's Navy, My Three Sons, Leave it to Beaver and many that I cannot remember. We went to 1313 Mockingbird Lane and got to see The Munster's house. Our soundstage tour included inside the Munster's house, and a walk-through Yvomne DeCarlo's dressing room (she wasn't there). We also got to meet "Charlie" the cook from Wagon Train.
Finally a good quality full video of the tour!! I heard they demolished what was left of the Grinch set. I wanted to see it one last time. Thank you for uploading!!
I can’t be the only one who noticed that in stage 20 that’s the part where the last episode of jessie was filmed where they are saying goodbye IM SHOOK
When we went by Bates Motel, Norman actually came up really close to our car, like we could touch him if we wanted to, and these two girls behind me screamed "We love you Norman!!" And the tour guide was like "No, your not supposed to be all mushy with Norman!" And it was really funny
When I went he was slowly walking towards the car as we drove away and we were in the last car. He was pretty close when we passed him and he bolted at our car at the last second
Great camera work! Continuity is difficult on tours, you did a wonderful job editing. I took this tour in 1965 when I was 9 years old. I remember driving by the Munster's house (it was still in production) as well as McHales Navy. We got to tour inside the Munster's soundstage (I found it odd to be "real" in color) and we did a walk-through of Yvonne DeCarlo's dressing room; she wasn't there. We also got the meet Charlie the cook from "Wagon Train". Good memories......
Studio Tours rock big time at Universal Studios Hollywood, because you get to see how movies are made without fear. WARNING: Children may get scared of Bruce the mechanical 🦈when they see the Jaws scene at Amity Island. They don't know how to tell the difference between real and pretend. The 🚋 seems to be very comfortable even though seat belts aren't included.
Like with a lot of rides, I think it's important to give kids some warning. If a shark unexpectedly lunges at them it could be very scary, but if you let them know what's going to happen and talk about it ahead of time then they can be better prepared.
That was awesome scary fun,and informative, especially about some of the directors/producers of so many creative films,tv shows and othet productions, this is one of the first tours that was to enjoy thank you all,be blessed,at least you are stillingood jobs, take care!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG, I've been to Universal Studios in Orlando... but can't wait to visit Universal Studios Hollywood, where lots of my favorite movies were shot. Like 8:57 Back to the Future, Hill Valley.
But a full tram tour, but they do have versions of many of the attractions like Fast and the Furious and King Kong. Sadly, the Jaws attraction in Orlando is now closed.
Unfortunately It was our of order and we had to bypass it :( The comment from the guide was that we were receiving an authentic experience because the mechanical shark used to film the original movie often broke down too.
Exit Thru the Gift Shop Alright I assumed it was a problem with the shark. This is why robotics and water don't mix. XD. I heard the original Bruce the shark used air instead of hydraulics(or something like that) to move around and I assumed that's why it never worked in the water, no air to help power it, since it ain't a real fish.
My wife and I, want to visit Universal Studio in LA, and are interested in the Backlot from my favorite movie The Burbs, and Desperate Housewifes, and the Clock tower from Back to the future movies. Do I have to purchase the VIP package, to be able to take the tram and get to walk on these locations, or do I just buy the normal GA, and get the same tour?
The tram ride as seen on this video is included with General Admission :) You'll need the VIP tour of you want to be able to get out and walk around the back lot.
It should still be there - This is from thestudiotour.com: Location #3: 1986 - present - Adjacent to Old Falls Lake (where the swamp scenes were filmed in the original movie) the house and motel have been recently restored. The house was in this position in 1986 when the Falls Lake backdrop was being built, and it's likely it was moved when this construction work started.
does anyone know if the green boat house area where they filmed the end scene from the dawn of the dead remake is still there when you go through the parting of the red sea.
Great video, however one suggestion. Your title thumbnail graphic has a horizontal red line at the bottom. Similar to the red line that appears after I have watched a video. I almost didn't watch this because I thought I had watched it before.
+Matt Rost I never thought about that - Thanks for the feedback !! I was using this style of thumbnail a while back and am working on updating old videos with a new style so hopefully there won't be any confusion going forward. Really appreciate you took the time to call it out. There are probably a hundred others that thought the exact same thing!!
Is there any pass tier that allows you to disembark at the Courthouse Square to roam around and take pictures? Because I would spend good money on that one!

@@ExitThrutheGiftShop phew! Scared me for a minute there. I’m taking my kids there this summer, and I have been building up the Jaws encounter. They might not have ever trusted me again!

@@ExitThrutheGiftShop I'll certainly put the link in the description. but if I'm honest my lecturer will probably repost it and I can't say whether or not they will do the same. Is that still OK?
The back lot tour is definately the core of Universal Hollywood. They change it up often enough to keep it fresh, but it's nice to see some of the classic segments hang on.
Ok I'm trying to figure this out. My first time at universal studios was back in 99 and I swear there was a Dantes peak part of the tour. They like drive you through a volcano. Can any one confirm about this at all?
Both! The studio tour takes you through actual sets used in TV and Movies, but also takes you through segments with shows and attractions like a theme park.
Back lot tour is the most scary. Still trying to get home. Do not ride anywhere with locals. They have a habit of making the tour bus breakdown. Only go with tourists.
