Not an illegal search. If you are actually placed under arrest , police are allowed to search your person for weapons/illegal drugs without a warrant.
Wrong it apparently didnt have a license and was under arrest.
Male officers are legally allowed to pat-frisk women who are under arrest, essentially checking for weapons and or illicit drugs. They are not allowed to search "intimate" areas, which they would need to call in a female officer to do.

You're only correct in that a more intimate, strip search, or body cavity search, must be performed by a female on a female.

Yes, they do need to make sure she doesn’t have anything dangerous on her. But when she is saying they are not allowed to search her. The officer should have explained they have the right, and why he was doing it instead of just coming at her digging into her pockets without explaining himself first. I just wish these officers would understand that 80% of these stops could be better kept under control by simply communicating better.
