You'd think it is but in reality this is when most shootings happen. You never know what can happen so police have to take every precaution. A lot of shootings happen from vehicles not stopping right away, the police officer did the right thing.

With 2 warrants she would have been arrested regardless of whether she pulled over immediately or 4 blocks away. No "chance" would've been given. Laws are laws.

But at that point the girl was prolly more scared of what her mom would do to her making her have to walk the 3 blocks to the car at 3 am to drive it home or just getting it towed all together and it didn't look like mom was rolling in vehicles.

Not necessarily depending on the warrants a cop can give you a ticket for having a warrant it’s weird but that’s what happened to my friend when we got pulled over

I'll never understand how people think just because you don't speed, you aren't failing to stop. I could understand if you're trying not to be on the side of a busy road, but that's not this situation.
Richard Peters failure to yield and failure to stop are different by definition. She yielded by slowing down, if the police officer needed by her, he could have gotten around. Thus, she yielded but didn't stop. They obviously aren't different in the eyes of the law though.
failing to stop for a couple blocks should NOT be a felony. that should be a citation similar to speeding. if the person is actually trying to flee then maybe a felony is appropriate, but this is just ridiculous

Arizona is a legal open or concealed carry state, no permit required as long as you are over the age of 21. Arizona police pretty much have to assume anyone could have a gun until proven otherwise.

This is wrong , First you do not have to stop as soon as you see Red and Blue lights as long as you turn on your hazards ,
Turn on your hazard lights. Before you pull over, especially if you are in a dark area, turn on your hazard lights to inform the vehicle attempting to pull you over that you see them. Trained officers know this means you are acknowledging their presence and that you are not trying to run from them.Pull over in a well-lit and populated area. With your hazard lights still on, drive until you reach a will lit and populated area. Pulling over where people are nearby can help disincentivize a police impersonator from committing a crime against you. Also, if you are in a well lit area, you will be able to examine the person and their actions better.Keep your doors locked and only roll down your window enough to communicate. Once you pull over, do not open your door or get out of the car.Stay in the vehicle with your doors locked. Only roll your window down enough to speak to the person outside your vehicle.Ask for the person's badge number and other identification. Once you have examined what the person is wearing, or while you are doing so, ask to see the officer's identification. A trained officer should comply with this request promptly and professionally.The officer should have a badge, identification card, and even a photo ID .
If she did that it wouldnt matter how far she drove to as long as it wasnt like 10 miles, unless you are on a stretch of hwy which you can pull into the closest gas station.

How to pull suspects out of a car safely 101: well done deputies! One officer gave clear, concise verbal commands, he waited for backup to do so, and both occupants were detained as safely as possible.
Little known fact: When being pulled over, you are only required to stop once you feel it is safe to do so.
Charles Jones you are required to stop when it is REASONABLY safe to do so. That doesn't mean drive through a neighborhood for 3 blocks
that is highly subjective and will certainly be challenged by the cops, some people do not feel safe anywhere, what do they do continue driving until they run out of gas. it is a judgement by not just the citizen but by the cop also and the judge or jury will decide if it was or was not safe. you better have very good criteria for your judgement and precedent if your going to do that.

There needs to be a fitness requirement for law enforcement agencies to maintain. There are too many overweight, out of shape police officers in the field. It's very unsafe and sad. After you leave the academy, it's not free for all.
Am I the only one with a major problem with the fact that all of these officers have their handguns drawn on these people? Why wouldn't at least one officer have a less lethal option prepared to deploy before blasting a hundred rounds into the vehicle because the officers "see" a weapon.
