    My fave was "resource re-balancing".
    Business lingo for sacking a bunch of people.

      I would settle for going back to the last save point (and then electing Bernie instead).

    Well you see, the brand values we are developing at the core level belong in the transitional phase, opening up the market to a developed idea. Once we onboard the entrepreneurs into the marketing phase, we will broaden the level up capacity during the final quarter as our CPIs are dropping because of overlag on the input from the brand value coordinators. Later, we have to contact our Team Leader at the Local Market Coordination Center, who will inform the Brand Ambassador to instruct the specialists in Customer Outreach center to pursue client relations with a core brand proposition.
    I spent 3 months in a corporate office. I would rather die than deal with those fake, disgusting people ever again. I have never seen a more petty, pathetic group of miserable sacks of shit.

    Is anyone else being reminded of 40-60 people raids in Wow back in 2003 in guild leaders call breaks bio-breaks did business adopt raid lingo? Never herd level up in raid chat then we would rotate DPS if we went doing well.

      That's where I learned this terminology. Not specifically in WoW, but gaming in general lolol

      Sure was. Rented it from Blockbuster way back when before the news coverage of Trump's campaign introduced the term to every last sucker out there.

    I have never heard a person who’s decided who’s chosen a career in enrfertainment try to be as understanditng of normal business worker people as Cenk. It’s nice. Usually, it’s all cubicle hell and whatnot.

    Years ago, we used to create a list of crazy buzzwords before meetings with the goal of seeing who could use the most without our boss calling us out. It made meetings a bit more fun, as we worked for a moron who used buzzwords all the time.
    The sad thing was he would praise us for "getting it" when we had simply strung together a meaningless series of buzzwords from a buzzword generator app.

    Yes, gaslighting is a trait of some folk. They are unbelievably dangerous, masterful manipulators and can be malicious to the point of being diabolical. That's why it's dangerous to rush to judgment from the outside looking in to any situation.

    *Gaslighted* is better than *gaslit* : to gaslight sb literally means to manipulate sb to madness by secretly dimming the gas-powered light fixture called gaslight, which is a noun, and it's from that noun that the verb was derived; therefore, the manipulated party is '(n.) gaslight'-ed, not '(n.) gas'-lit, because the latter would mean the person were lit (made shine) by way of using gas.

    So business lingo took that from gamers. "Bio break" makes more sense in the context of a game. Your character taking to others saying I will be away from the computer for a minute to do human things.

    • @Fangtorn
      @Fangtorn 5 років тому +1

      Yeah, business stole lingo from gamers, sure. Next you'll say "level up" is some how game related.

  • @Pinkerton000
    @Pinkerton000 5 років тому

    Why are people suddenly talking about "bio break"? And why is it being attributed to some business jargon? The term began as a techie term (obviously, the irony of it is clear from that context) and has been used in online gaming for a LONG time where people would just say something like "BIO" if they needed to take a break while playing with others. Business people just wish they were cool. Problem is they don't know what is cool, so they choose something not that cool to emulate haha.
