Below I have compiled various pros and cons of each rifle based upon Kickingmustang's VSR parts mentioned in the video and pricing, I haven't done this out of spite and I also have no bias towards either gun, this was simply out curiosity. To allow others to decide for themselves. PRICES are NOT set and depending on the options chosen and on sales, conversion rates of currency and where they're bought they could be far more or less then what I have looked at. This is based off research over a few days, which includes common problems and other information about the guns below. I have my own conclusions and preferences from this research, If you're asking me you're still getting more bang for your buck when you buy an SSG24 though this is my personal opinion. it depends of the country. In Poland there is no sense to by ssg24 because there are plenty of parts for vsr. Vsr10 built on pdi is much better than ssg. Also you can change body. Ahhh in my opinion best buy is jg bar10. Perfect copy of vsr in almost 1/3 price...
The problem with your comparison is you only showed one particular build on the Marui VSR 10. You could build a budget gun with a JG Bar 10 or a WELL MB03 for much cheaper, and with comparable performance, if not better performance (depending on what path you choose to take parts-wise.) On the completely opposite end of the spectrum, if money was not a concern and you wanted the best, a fully built Marui VSR with all the bells and whistles will definitely outperform an SSG any day. Even a properly built/tuned clone build can outperform and SSG. It all depends on what platform you choose and which aftermarket parts you end up getting, there are cheaper builds and luxury builds that will outperform an SSG. The SSG's selling point is that it is comparable to an upgraded VSR without the user having to do any work on the gun.
I like the fact that it is the first review (that I found) that has some criticism towards the SSG24. That said, to say that it is the only honest review is a little bit insulting towards the other youtubers. People have their own oppinions. For the test itself, I'd love to see a comparison with the same testing conditions. By that I mean: -same shooting position -same target -same (if possible) weather conditions -same ammo (that was the case in this vid I think) -scopes zeroed on the target -same shooter -a background that allows for trajectory comparison As far as I see the reviews untill now, the SSG24 is the undisputed champion in the out-of-the-box category and the VSR-10 will be better than the SSG24 when taken care of. The cost depends on the skills of the owner and upgrade parts, probably you can get a cheaper VSR-10 with better performance (time cost excluded) but it won't be a big difference. I am basing my opinions only on rewievs and comments on the internet. I do not (sadly) own a VSR-10 or a SSG24
Also the guy shooting his vsr, already owns (plays whith) that gun for how long?Perfect test give the 2 snipers to a noob, who never plays and let him shoot in the above conditions.
Yeah, one could be shooting into the wind or so forth. The best way to test it is at rest shot, aiming in exactly the same direction. Tested by scientific minimum of three people.
To get same upgrades as SSG24 cost is: Marui VSR 10 G Spec Euro 250, Maple Leaf barrel Euro 55, Outer barrel Euro 60, Maple Leaf VSR CNC Reinforced Steel Trigger Euro 125, Maple Leaf VSR Stainless Steel Upgrade Cylinder Kit Euro 120 - total of Euro 610...
I'm glad I watched this guys.I got my TM VSR 10 G spec today and I know it's just a sniper rifle, but it was love at first sight😂.Cheers very helpful indeed💎👍
I'm so glad I came accross this I am in the process of buying and rebuilding a vsr and everyone is telling me just buy an ssg you'll spend the Same amount in money this just makes me feel better about my decision NOT to
love the honesty of this review... For once I'm sure it's from someone who didn't get the replica for free and is semi-obliged to make it shoot rainbow and glitters. a side to side comparison with an upgraded VSR and the SSG internal wise would be nice aswel, or at least an in depth view of the internals of the SSG. it's said to be ready out of the box, but it has too many flaws imo. loud (probably bad voluming), aluminum inner barrel, not a built TDC, and it comes at the price of a decently upgraded VSR. Not to mention the ridiculous price for the mags...
Im sticking with the SSG. It has better build quality and preforms just as well. Everyone complains about the price but when you factor in the cost of buying a vsr-10 and putting $400+ into quality upgrades. You are coming out even.
Actually, you really aren't. When you upgrade a vsr (which the ssg is pre-upgraded, not stock), the vsr can easily out perform an ssg and save money. The only thing the extra $200 gets you in the ssg, is not having to do it yourself.
Josh Rimer wrong, the vsr-10 comes out to being just as expensive as the ssg if not more so once you factor in the cost of the upgrades needed for the vsr-10 to actually be worth a damn. The SSG also still has better externals. The vsr-10 looks and feels like complete shit.
Do not get me wrong, I love the VSR. Especially what you can do externally. But you really should be more honest with yourself ... Even if I only tune the accuracy and performance, I come at least in my country to just under 500 euros. And some things have not been done yet for the durability of the weapon ... In the state, the VSR would shoot at the same level, but eventually something would break ... For example, in my case, the trigger guard. That simply disappears at the SSG. She shoots well and still holds out a lot ... The whole people claiming that they would shoot with their VSR over 100m constant, have accidentally installed the same stuff as my ... Same FPS and tightness and I can only get to 90 - 100m. And not 100%. Already strange ... right? The SSG is not different at all. What bothers me about the SSG, that the internals are not as "high quality" as PDI. It's not as extreme as it sounds, but definitely to see. For example, the cylinder: that of PDI is coated with Teflon, not the SSG. These are subtleties that do not affect the pure performance. To stay realistic: For the 1400 euros you have a VSR that endures a lot and shoot a little better. Emphasis is on a little bit. At this nothing is left of the TM VSR. The shaft, the outer race, just everything has been exchanged. And the SSG24 costs 600 euros with taxes. And she holds out a lot for the price and shoots just as well ... As already mentioned: some small details are different, a bit better processing and that's it. I do not regret having a VSR, but to get the same durability I had to spend some money on it. She is my figurehead in the field. You are definitely more individual with a VSR base. For far less money you have the same longevity and performance. And you usually pay the most money for durability ...
This comparison video was extremely informative for me, I recently started purchasing pieces for an airsoft arsenal, and my next build will definitely be sniper/sharpshooter based. Your skill as a sniper, and your knowledge of the weapon testing has me sold.
My dad has an Ares Striker (full length, not the silly stubby model). It fires a 0.43 and the equivalent on 0.2 is about 495 (including joule creep), he installed an upgraded cylinder kit sold by Ares as the aluminium stock piston was a little gouged up, had it R-hopped with the stock barrel which according to Ares is a 6.03mm, barrel is original length at around 550mm. Recently he fitted new Sears and that's it. Not much done to it, no volume bullshit or cutting down barrels or changing every part to PDI. Everything is nice and simple. Using Specna Arms 0.43s he managed to hit an oil drum at around 97 metres, I then shot him with it past the barrels with the cross hairs on his head and hit him in the lower back. We haven't ranged tested it properly but it definitely outperforms the SSG in this video whilst costing half as much and firing at a legal velocity. My point is, when did upgrading Airsoft weapons become so complex and expensive? People nowadays spend too long figuring out volume ratios and other shit when you should try something out rather than take someone's word that it won't work. Prove yourself wrong instead of being scared off by someone else. According to all of the number guys in countless Airsoft sniper forums, my dad's rifle shouldn't be able to to what it does. EDIT: Forgot to mention, it is extremely consistent and accurate, the barrel hit wasn't a one off.
Honestly I think the biggest difference here is the price between the two. It's $300usd for a TM gspec and $190USD for a zero trigger by laylax. That's $490USD already, not including a new cylinder for the tm to handle springs, a new hop chamber for better airseal, new barrel, new bucking ect. When factoring all that in, the TM platform comes out to over $700USD. Meanwhile you still have a thin stock. Good for weight, bad for durability. The SSG, for the performance out of the box, is cheaper than the TM base. If you want to discuss "get a clone" then you're basically accepting dealing with the issue that is out of spec body. Drop in kits not fitting without filing or grinding ect. Then you also have an even weaker stock and barrel. Sure, you save $160-180USD overall, but all it takes is one fall, or one slip up and you run a higher risk of your gun falling. I rather field a chunky tank, than a Ferrari. Sure, the Ferrari is better, faster, lighter, however the tank will take the beating of woodland. Where I play. My 2 cents
That’s a good point but my jg bar10 gspec with maple leaf and action army parts was 350$ total without the scope and it shoots very great and I have taken 90+ meter shots
I've taken apart both and they are extremely similar. SSG's are pretty good but you can also get a VSR-10 for far cheaper and spend what you saved on upgrades. In canada its not just the SSG itself that is expensive. my friend one and the price to ship it was kinda hefty. Really depends on if you like upgrading and maybe getting a better performance once you've completed your build or if you want a pretty accurate sniper out of the box for a higher price.
Novritsch ssg-24 : material, power, inner strength win Marui Vsr-10 : weight , sound, support win Nov said ssg24 with same accuracy as his old upgraded vsr. But the stock , outer barrel, inner material and structure stronger than vsr! I got same feeling to compare with my friend's full upgraded vsr. Vsr's sound really quiet! That's good! But my friend crash just one time, his outer barrel broken but I crash over 5 times, nothing happen to my ssg24! For me, ssg24 better than vsr.
That feel when people think the Novritsch SSG was made to be the best performance airsoft rifle... it was designed to be a really good BUT relatively cheap rifle. Also Novritsch has the different springs made for it for a reason.
Good to see this! First ever SSG 24 comparison and honest review! Feel sorry for Hutchy as he spent £500 for an SSG 24 but it performed worse than a cheaper VSR (meant to be the best though).
Airsoft Max The VSR is modified and cost more than the SSG24 if you add up the parts and consider time. Time is a luxury. Not everyone cares to tinker.
MrFraiche I totally understand, but building your own rifle is just so interesting to do, in my opinion VSR still wins! I have no hate to Nov and I like his vids and what he does but recently he caused a lot of hype about the SSG and that it is the best rifle... it is not the best, I would say it can be better if tinkered with it as anything in Airsoft needs tinkering to make it work like a dream/to its max ability.
Airsoft Max and that's perfectly fine. But it's an outright lie to say the upgraded VSR is cheaper than an SSG (just a Laylax zero trigger + TM VSR alone exceeds the cost of an SSG). A stock VSR will not perform as well as an SSG. That is a fact.
People keep saying that vsr is cheaper, and i keep trying to find the parts, and when i combine everything together vsr comes up more expensive every single time. Nice video though
The SSG24 is for people who isn't tech savy. I can afford both guns but i don't have the time/tech to buy a stock VSR and upgrade it. The whole point for the SSG24 is a sniper that is already mostly upgraded and ready to go out of the box.
Watching this vid a bit late but i bought a vsr well mb03 which only cost me 80euro. I upgraded the hell out of it and still came less than the ssg24. I have compared it with an ssg24 and my vsr well mb03 outperforms the ssg24 in anyway. this is has also been said from the owners of the ssg24.... However, I decided to purchase and upgrade a vsr because i wanted to learn about the internals n stuff plus i enjoyed building it. It required a lot of work and fine tuning. Although the cost is cheaper, i understand that the ssg24 is here to cater for specific people. Those that want something pre-upgraded out of the box, so instead of spending hours searching online, waiting for days and getting their hands dirty and build their own. they can just say " hey i got an ssg24". So in conclusion - you can't compare them, as they two snipers for two different markets. Also here is what i upgraded: Well Mb03 - 80Eur Action Army 6.03 Inner Barrel - 30Eur Action Army Hop Up Chamber V2 - 60 Eur Action Army Alloy Piston - 30 Eur Action Army Accelerator Bucking - 15Eur ------- Optional Upgrades Inner Barrel Spacers: 10 Eur Action Army 300mm 6.03 Inner Barrel - 30Eur t10 twisted outer barrel 300mm - 50Eur Silencer Adapter - 10 Eur Silencer - 15 Eur total - 215 Eur total with optional upgrades - 300 Eur
My JG AUG A2 DMR fires at 400fps on .2s and with .28s in I was able to reach about 85-90 metres absolute maximum (elevation would have to be added to hit someone in the torso). Base gun cost £120 from a mate along with 3 mags although brand new they don't get much more than that and upgrade parts were laying around and include as follows: M120 spring (unknown make). G&G green bucking. PPS 6.03 455mm inner barrel (stock is 509mm long). Ares Amoeba piston and head (stripped old one by mistake). New contacts, had to use the brass contact tongues out of a G36 trigger box. Tefloned cylinder head. Reshimmed. Wired to Deans. Regreased. And a £20 Chinese scope from Amazon alongside a leftover suppressor. Worst case scenario, all of the parts I've listed would probably cost £100 in total. PPS barrels are around £30 and a Madbull (my go to brand) M120 spring costs about £20 and G&G buckings cost a tenner at worst. If I had bought ALL of the above brand new it would still be less than £250. I know it won't outperform a heavily upgraded sniper rifle but considering the lower muzzle velocity and cost, it seems to be more cost effective than spending damn near £600 on a rifle that shoots hot.
Jg bar10 £90, Crazy jet barrel £44, AA trigger and piston kit £130, Cylinder £50 AA hop unit £50 Autobot bucking £6, Maple leaf nub £5. 1-2 hrs to install Total £375 Ssg24 is 490 euros Including shipping which is £425 plus tax which is usually around £70-£100 from what I have seen on forums so lets say £70 Ssg24 total £495 Pros and cons Jg vsr clone build £120 cheaper Lighter Faster to obtain no 3-6 month waiting list Will have to build urself which is actually really easy to do. Not as strong as the ssg24. Ssg24 Great out of the box Solid heavy weight feel No DIY required It's works. More expensive than a DIY build Long waiting period for delivery upto 6 months
As a VSR user i bloody love this, ssg24 overpriced shiit haha im aware that the ssg24 is for ppl who want a out of the box gun. And here it is, ppl are really paying for the package here great vid m8 👍👍
Mirzu42 no ssg is not fully upgraded. Aluminium barrel, bad sound dampening, stock hopup chamber, unknown hopup bucking (which definitely less optimal than ML), no barrel spacer etc
Rasyad Arkan it's actually virtually completely upgraded. The aluminum barrel preforms just as good as steel barrels. Sound isnt a big deal. You seem like a sour puss that i angry because people can buy a better preforming sniper rifle than what you made.
Rasyad Arkan the STock hop up chamber can over hop .46g bbs and is consistent and thus doesn't need upgrades, the inner barrel is oxidized so it preforms just as well as a steel barrel. The trigger mech is upgraded to handle m190 springs and it comes with a ball bearing spring guide and an upgraded cylinder, piston and piston head which gets 100% air seal. It may not be "completely upgraded" bit it preforms better than 90% of the full upgraded $1000 custom vsr10s Thats I think you are mad at. Now you can just by a sniper rifle for $500 usd and go to the field and compete with guys who have spent $800-$1000 on their sniper rifles.
I prefer the more M700 style stock of the VSR way more than the SSG69 adjustable stock. Could be he came out with the M40 stock because of the hollow sound of the SSG24 stock. Far as the VSR stock TM could of made an improved version by now but they choose inferior excuses over a superior product (The VSR10 Stock).
Surprised to hear the echo on the stock, I had assumed it was solid polymer like my Classic Army M24, which is the least toy feeling sniper I've found.
SSG24 = aimbot for players who have $500+ to drop on a rifle. VSR10 = time/tech for experience players who want to learn their rifle. Both have their pros and cons. I probably will end up with a VSR10 (parts are going be around for along time) TM base in a year or two. I would want it custom painted so it's different than anyone elses in a 1000 miles. I do really like the SSG24 it's very impressive.
BLA BLA BLA he didt a seriously good job on the ssg24 swampsniper hitted 110 meter with range meter so smithy cant shoot hahaha i know il buy the ssg24 now just because of your video haha
The ssg24 joule creeps alot. swam sniper was positioned high up compared to his target which would obviously give him more range. He was also using a shorter outerbarrel which would give him even more joule creeps. A vsr that joule creeps that hard could do over 100 metres
Fazit. Buy an VSR10. It is the best option for beginners and those who would tune it. I saw a few Nguns on the fields and doesn t see the reason to buy one. It cost too much. It is not a better quallity like an VSR10. It is not really better like a good tuned VSR10. So you buy just the big N and nothing more...
Nice flip flops ;) too loose the echo from my vsr i stuffed a pair of gloves inside the stock works quite well and also decent having a backup pair of gloves. Whats your take on the warrior/well l96 rifles i prefer mine to my vsr just due to it having a nicer weight and stock but gotta admit the AA hop unit is a pain in the ass too adjust
Hi, i was hoping to purchase the SSG24 for myself when im able to get a UKARA , I am British and i presume you are 2 , did you have any complications whilst the Airsoft gun was being imported to the UK? , like customs or what not and when purchasing the ssg24 . were you asked on Novritsch's website for a UKARA number ?
It seems like gun smiths are salty that others can purchase a gun that performs 90% of an upgraded VSR with 0 time spent with less money and headaches.
50% performance means it would only hit half the range (150 feet) and half the shots. Clearly that is not the fact and shows your annoyance because it shoots a little more FPS than you desired. A fair test would be to shoot it from the SAME spot at 30, 50, 90m.
I understand but it would help to show viewers a proper test using guns shooting under the same conditions from the same spot and highlight the range advantage of the VSR.
awesome vid man, im looking a replacing my Ez trigger as its the version 1 and had it years, ive been looking at the S triggers for awhile. any chance i could get your thoughts on them?
I apologize in advance in you've already answered this question prior, but what mods do you have for your VSR-10? I would like mine to shoot as well as yours, once I get one. Thanks!
despite all the respect for you for what you can do as a sniper, you disappointed me with this movie, I am disappointed with the lack of professionalism and lack of objectivity ...
@kickingmustang Can you inform me please. I am looking up these guns and there is the SSG10 A1 Airsoft Sniper Rifle which to me seems better and cheaper than the Novritsch SSG24 Airsoft Sniper Rifle, can you point out what am I missing? Anyone might tell me? Thank you in advance!
Is that the stock hopup chamber in the VSR? I don't see you listing a chamber in your upgrade list. I'm surprised the stock chamber can lift such heavy bbs. Besides testing for range, is there any difference in accuracy and groupings between the 2 rifles?
Then it should be listed in the upgrade parts. Aren't the hopup chamber, barrel and bucking the most important components in determining range and accuracy? Shouldn't it not be a surprise that a VSR with a R-hop out-performs a SSG24 with a conventional style hopup?
kickingmustang Yes I know, but when you ordering you have to choose the power you want. So if you took a too powerful spring it's normal that it is not an airsoft.
I ended up getting one of the second batch of SSG24's, i had the option of buying a spring that fit my feild requirement. Was their no spring option for the first batch? Also the stock is empty because it is supposed to be a compartment for batteries. The gun was made to caiter to the needs to the disigner who is a youtuber. And finally, I find that his BB's shoot better out of the weapon, though i relieze they are expensive.
Provide us with yo tips yo. I have a snow wolf m24 completely customized in terms of parts. However, bit lost because even with a sr-hop I'm struggling to get anywhere close to your range with the vsr 10.
Nice video mate, can't say I'm surprised with the ssg not shooting as far, and not seeming as accurate as the vsr as it's got an aluminium barrel, a type A hop arm, with the 2 prongs, and who knows what bucking. You have the crazy jet barrel, I bet you have a type B hop lever, for more hop and you have a nine ball bucking, your vsr is the more tuned rifle, I believe the vsr is lighter which will mean more stable when picking your targets, especially when your tired. The truth is, a Cyma 701 with a type b hop lever, crazy jet barrel and nineball bucking, stock internals, would probably give the ssg a run for its money.
Dear Mr Kickingmustang, thank you for your honest review. I was planning to buy a ssg24, but your video changed my mind. I was wondering if you could make a video of your VSR build (and hopefully Tanaka too?), with all components and where you got them from? And perhaps you could also mention something about which rifle you prefer, your Tanaka or TM VSR? (just like the tm mk23 video) I'm guessing VSR will be shooting more consistent compared to hpa?
Hey Julius. Thanks for your comments and feedback. My VSR is a Tokyo Marui. It has standard hop chamber with a Nineball rubber, ASPUK Sniper One hop arm, Mapleleaf Crazy Jet barrel. Laylax cylinder + piston, spring guide + nozzle. M150 spring. Springer Budget S-Tigger. My Tanaka is standard apart from Spartan hop chamber + 6.08 PDI barrel + Nineball rubber. I prefer the Tanaka, it is an amazing gun. But the mags are expensive, heavy and only hold 10 BBs. The gun is long and heavy, and tbh I save it for special occasions. for skirmish I prefer the VSR. It is lighter, hold more BBs, is more robust, and if it broke it is easier to fix. Hope that helps?
Hey Kicking what is the actual length of your VSR inner barrel? Also I guess you have some joule creep going on when you just chrono it with 2.2-2.3J, is that right?
kickingmustang may is suggest something for you to look at? I myself use the wolverine Bolt right now (shoulder related problems zo I cannot pull back a spring with my right arm) and if you put acoustic dampening foam in de suspress or you have near to none noise
kickingmustang thanks awesome Review. from your expérience which spring To put on ssg24 for a french muslim with french restriction ? Like 450 fps max allowed. thx
I chose SSG24 for ??? it costs only 475 euros. and it's READY to use. why I did not choose VSR-10 T.M. Because the base model costs 250 euros and is not ready to be used! In order to have similar performance to the SSG 24, he needs some improvements, for example, which he bought at AirsoftPro(average brand) costs about 800 euros and when you spend 250 + 800=1050 euro you have a rifle ready to use :) and give it is not as good as SSG24 prices to check here: airsoftpro.cz/en/filtr/?q=vsr+10 -,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-, dlaczego wybrałem SSG24 ??? kosztuje tylko 475 euro. i jest GOTOWY do użycia. dlaczego nie wybrałem VSR-10 T.M.
Up to the point I made this review, there were no honest reviews of the SSG on youtube, there are still very few. The SSG is a good gun, but not great like it is advertised as, or reviewed as by the youtubers who receive sales commissions through their referral links. Same story with his BBs. They are not as heavy as the label says (.48g NOT .49g as an example), and he tests them at a claimed 100m, which again is fake, his sales video for his BBs takes place at around 70-75m range, he lies about the range. It’s a shame he feels the need to do this.
kickingmustang keep the good sniper videos you make and my honest opinion I think trying to compare guns just going to create rage there is no best gun on airsoft it's how you play the airsoft market will allways have ups and down sides. Once again keep up the good videos ur a a good mentor for the UK airsoft society keep it up
@@kickingmustang yeah, I saw lots of people complaining in comments under novs videos that his products are not as good as advertised, some people just got lemons and no response from the company. I don't like novritsch. Even his playstyle just does not match a sniper and his constant rambling about how perfect his rifle is, even though I get better distances for the same spring from my personal vsr than his old vsr and his new SSGs(I once hit a guy at 140m with m160 spring he was scared shitless that my rifle had more than double the range of his m4 spr). Also even if his products were as good as advertised, I would still prefer to build my own, because that is just part of being an airsoft sniper along with making your ghillie suit.
Every Airsoft gun in Ireland has to be 1 joule max. Nothing above that is legal.... Kind of restricted on what and where we can buy Airsoft guns from as regarding from outside the country....!
2.5 J is not airgun. Maybe in UK, but it doesn’t use metal bbs, so not airgun really. We can use 3.34 J in bolt guns, and 3.42 J is maximum. Btw test was not fair to ssg24. Didn’t have same condition. And why would Nov use ssg24 if it is not better than vsr10? It doesn’t make sense, why would someone use lesser gun? Besides vsr 10 feels Like a cheap toy, in comparison to ssg24, which feels solid as fuck. Ssg24 use vsr10 style hop up rubbers as far as I know. Btw I’m ex-vsr10 User, switched Because vsr10 looks Like shit, and feels Like shit. Shoots great tho’ . But still I would rather buy ssg24 or srs
As i can see almost all the snowflake coments are from ppl that doesnt own an ssg, Ill tell them a few things. I own an ssg. Its a great gun... But it is not mágic. Nov and many other UA-camrs sell it as THEFUCKINBESTGUNEVER. It aint. It is a gun that performs great, but has many issues. First of all in a 500 usd gun you cant sell a gun whose mag doesnt aline propperly into the magwell. Another anoying thing is the problem that many owners have. (Check owners Facebook group) the cocking is many times a lottery. It can cock or it cant. The sound is very loud. The handle jumps when shooting and it makes a very loud sound. It is a great gun, but it doesnt shot 95m without a parabólic shot. At last with the m150 spring that is the stock one. The stock is heavy and also rough, the barrel the same... I would say it is a nice sniper to start with. You will get a nice out of the box sniper... But after checking some nice vsr10 Well upgraded or an upgraded srs there is no way to keep saying it is a top sniper. I mean... An stock srs with a higher spring performs the same and even quiter...
it also comes down to skill , rifle doesnt come with laser guided bbs , also fuck upgrading , i think the mindset that people have is weird its like your agreeing to buy something you know it sucks and that you basicly have to change everything on it if you want to have a decent rifle so your basicly paying 200 0r 300 euros for a plastic stock and metal tubing , sounds like a rip off to me ,. maybe with the arrival of the ssg companies might get their shit together and start making better products to compete with the better standart out of the box . If anything i think vsr and bar 10 are overpriced you basicly trowing money at something you know it sucks
First is how you play then the gun In my country vsr-10 cost 324 euros and i wanted a good barrel in there but i had enought money for ssg so i bought it yes i can do upgrades but in my country its hard to get upgrade parts. Everything gets stopped on the borders... And the ssg is much sturdier when you are a really active player and you fall a lot its better to have something sturdy...But i agree the vsr is better with the internal suppresion etc..
I think if u fill the stock of the SSG24 with some foam it will help reducing the noise... As for the rest i had the same problems, to get a full upgrade on a vsr 10 would cost me close if not over 1000 euro ( gun included), so i chose the SSG24 ...still waiting to get it tho...
That video is like a car vs bike... Stock bike and a car that was build with NASA tech. Please... Put same cash in the ssg24 and bye bye. Not a fan boy. But why u compare stock vs fully upgraded lol.
whait wtf you cant use in a game a vsr10 or a norvitsch sniper than what is the point of geting a sniper. a sniper shold be powerfull or its not a sniper wtf a sniper with 400fps its not a sniper a m4 witch i saw 300 euro m4 400 fps the m4 has better range than a sniper and the m4 can be automatic or semi auto that sucks know i shold buy a m4
merjeme bardhi No dude. He's saying the SSG24 is over the legal limit in the UK the way it is now, BUT his VSR isnt it . You can change the spring out to lower the FPS in both guns if you want. As for the FPS limit in the UK I honestly don't know I think they go by Joules instead of FPS. Just google it if your unsure. Cheers
(UK)

it depends of the country. In Poland there is no sense to by ssg24 because there are plenty of parts for vsr. Vsr10 built on pdi is much better than ssg. Also you can change body.
Ahhh in my opinion best buy is jg bar10. Perfect copy of vsr in almost 1/3 price...
£189.99- VSR-10 Laylax PSS10 Zero Trigger w/ Piston Set Now if you run the Laylax Piston with Spring Customs trigger you can get that to under £140..
A TM base will not take a m150 spring without a new cylinder piston ect. Additionally where are you finding a TM for under 200€?
Hey you forgot something on the ssg ... Way over volume so shoots really hot when chronoed using .20g bbs.
I like the fact that it is the first review (that I found) that has some criticism towards the SSG24. That said, to say that it is the only honest review is a little bit insulting towards the other youtubers. People have their own oppinions.
For the test itself, I'd love to see a comparison with the same testing conditions. By that I mean:
-same shooting position
-same target
-same (if possible) weather conditions
-same ammo (that was the case in this vid I think)
-scopes zeroed on the target
-same shooter
-a background that allows for trajectory comparison
As far as I see the reviews untill now, the SSG24 is the undisputed champion in the out-of-the-box category and the VSR-10 will be better than the SSG24 when taken care of.
I do not see a comparison, I only see a subjective opinion about the sound.
Thx for the First real and credible review of the Ssg. I shoot IT some Weeks ago and i Totaly agree with you.
The joy for me is tinkering and upgrading my rifle. Great review and one of the first that hasn't been "wow you must get this gun" Great content :)
Literary the only honest review on the whole of UA-cam.
To stay realistic:
For the 1400 euros you have a VSR that endures a lot and shoot a little better.
At last an honest revue, I got caught up in the hype and nearly done my bollocks on the ssg! Thanks mate, subbing 👍
Novritsch ssg-24 : material, power, inner strength win
Marui Vsr-10 : weight , sound, support win
Nov said ssg24 with same accuracy as his old upgraded vsr.
RemainingRex have u got kik I'm trying to get started in airsoft
Max Kao do U have kick am trying to get started in airsoft
Mr Dummnuss how much would it cost ?
Mr Dummnuss how much would it cost ?
Mr Dummnuss how much would it cost ?
Thank you for the review and open opinions
Dean Riley You're welcome, Dean. I ❤️ sniping and enjoy sharing what we're up to at Sniper Ops, so thank you for watching, sir 🐴👍
That feel when people think the Novritsch SSG was made to be the best performance airsoft rifle... it was designed to be a really good BUT relatively cheap rifle.
Also Novritsch has the different springs made for it for a reason.
Agreed, it is a good, but far from great gun. A good starter for someone getting into sniping, for sure.
Airsoft Max Mechanics say the same thing about cars but some of us just don't care for the tinkering aspect and want to get right down to business.
MrFraiche Exactly, and so People who don't care about their rifles won't have the same results as people who do.
Airsoft Max and that's perfectly fine. But it's an outright lie to say the upgraded VSR is cheaper than an SSG (just a Laylax zero trigger + TM VSR alone exceeds the cost of an SSG). A stock VSR will not perform as well as an SSG. That is a fact.
finally an honest man! i think, the SSG24 it's too expensive for what it offer!
Hi Mustang, nice review. Comparing additional the Tanaka M40A1, what would you prefer? Did you tune your M40A1, and when, how? Thanks a lot!
Also here is what i upgraded:
Well Mb03 - 80Eur
Action Army 6.03 Inner Barrel - 30Eur
Action Army Hop Up Chamber V2 - 60 Eur
Action Army Alloy Piston - 30 Eur
Action Army Accelerator Bucking - 15Eur
-------
Optional Upgrades
Inner Barrel Spacers: 10 Eur
Action Army 300mm 6.03 Inner Barrel - 30Eur
t10 twisted outer barrel 300mm - 50Eur
Silencer Adapter - 10 Eur
Silencer - 15 Eur
total - 215 Eur
total with optional upgrades - 300 Eur
Next Time turn by 90* your phone and tu will be really cool ;)
its for instagram. you cant tilt your screen in instagram
My JG AUG A2 DMR fires at 400fps on .2s and with .28s in I was able to reach about 85-90 metres absolute maximum (elevation would have to be added to hit someone in the torso). Base gun cost £120 from a mate along with 3 mags although brand new they don't get much more than that and upgrade parts were laying around and include as follows:
M120 spring (unknown make).
The salt about the ssg is real.
Jg bar10 £90,
Crazy jet barrel £44,
AA trigger and piston kit £130,
Cylinder £50
AA hop unit £50
Autobot bucking £6,
Maple leaf nub £5.
1-2 hrs to install
Total £375
Ssg24 is 490 euros Including shipping which is £425 plus tax which is usually around £70-£100 from what I have seen on forums so lets say £70
Ssg24 total £495
Pros and cons
Jg vsr clone build
£120 cheaper
Lighter
Faster to obtain no 3-6 month waiting list
Will have to build urself which is actually really easy to do.
Not as strong as the ssg24.
Ssg24
Great out of the box
Solid heavy weight feel
No DIY required
It's works.
More expensive than a DIY build
Long waiting period for delivery upto 6 months
As a VSR user i bloody love this, ssg24 overpriced shiit haha
im aware that the ssg24 is for ppl who want a out of the box gun. And here it is, ppl are really paying for the package here
great vid m8 👍👍
Degn 435€ is not overpriced for fully upgraded sniper rifle. It will cost you over 600 to fully upgrade vsr10
Rasyad Arkan the ssg has barrel spacers
Rasyad Arkan the STock hop up chamber can over hop .46g bbs and is consistent and thus doesn't need upgrades, the inner barrel is oxidized so it preforms just as well as a steel barrel.
The trigger mech is upgraded to handle m190 springs and it comes with a ball bearing spring guide and an upgraded cylinder, piston and piston head which gets 100% air seal.
It may not be "completely upgraded" bit it preforms better than 90% of the full upgraded $1000 custom vsr10s
Thats I think you are mad at.
Did you adjust the SSG24 hop up?
for what ? :) he was supposed to lose ...
Surprised to hear the echo on the stock, I had assumed it was solid polymer like my Classic Army M24, which is the least toy feeling sniper I've found.
Echo 1 M28 weighs 12lbs... pretty solid.
300 is around the maximum range if you use Nov .46 bbs
BLA BLA BLA he didt a seriously good job on the ssg24 swampsniper hitted 110 meter with range meter so smithy cant shoot hahaha i know il buy the ssg24 now just because of your video haha
Most sniper rifles can hit that if tuned properly, and the conditions are good.
The ssg24 joule creeps alot. swam sniper was positioned high up compared to his target which would obviously give him more range. He was also using a shorter outerbarrel which would give him even more joule creeps. A vsr that joule creeps that hard could do over 100 metres
I got my pre upgraded vsr 10 with scope and silencer for only 225€ it was used only in under 10games and it performs pretty much same as ssg24
o k yo where did you get pre upgraded at?
Hi you are really a champion I follow you in all your movies and I want to be a sniper but what is better to buy thanks
You compare a suped up VSR to a SSG out of the box hmmmm I don't know how honest this review really is like everyone says😏
ah the guy who bought the SSG24 used in this video plays at my site.
Maybe next time it would be a good idea to not let a 2yo hold the phone to make the video.... and who makes portrait videos anyway?
It seems like gun smiths are salty that others can purchase a gun that performs 90% of an upgraded VSR with 0 time spent with less money and headaches.
I would say it performs about 50% as well as a well tuned VSR. Less range, less accuracy, heavier, noisier. There is nothing it is better at.
50% performance means it would only hit half the range (150 feet) and half the shots. Clearly that is not the fact and shows your annoyance because it shoots a little more FPS than you desired. A fair test would be to shoot it from the SAME spot at 30, 50, 90m.
MrFraiche The SSG won't hit 90m
I understand but it would help to show viewers a proper test using guns shooting under the same conditions from the same spot and highlight the range advantage of the VSR.
kickingmustang I've seen 3 different channels hit 90m+ shots , foh
Great video👍 But you're comparing the SSG to an upgraded VSR right?
The SSG is an upgraded Modify MOD24.
awesome vid man, im looking a replacing my Ez trigger as its the version 1 and had it years, ive been looking at the S triggers for awhile. any chance i could get your thoughts on them?
I have a Budget S-Trigger in my VSR with Laylax cylinder and piston. It is very good. www.skirmshop.nl/en/search/springer/
I apologize in advance in you've already answered this question prior, but what mods do you have for your VSR-10? I would like mine to shoot as well as yours, once I get one. Thanks!
Apologies Mustang as I'm sure you've been asked this a lot but what are you running in your VSR?
Maple Leaf crazy jet, modify tan rubber, ASPUK hop arm, springer custom s trigger and new piston, laylax cylinder.
despite all the respect for you for what you can do as a sniper, you disappointed me with this movie, I am disappointed with the lack of professionalism and lack of objectivity ...
I support what you wrote ... embarrassment
I support what you wrote
@kickingmustang
Can you inform me please.
Liang Weihao he probably has a R-Hop
Then it should be listed in the upgrade parts. Aren't the hopup chamber, barrel and bucking the most important components in determining range and accuracy? Shouldn't it not be a surprise that a VSR with a R-hop out-performs a SSG24 with a conventional style hopup?
The spring is too powerful because you have not chosen the right or the value is different from announced power?
No. It's too powerful for UK sites. 2.6 joules is an airgun, not airsoft.
kickingmustang Yes I know, but when you ordering you have to choose the power you want. So if you took a too powerful spring it's normal that it is not an airsoft.
Oakvald so a little late here but my buddy got the supposed 500 fps spring and i did 520-525 at the chrono.
D Have you looked at the Silverback SRS?
@@koelkast9 Jesus, and is that on .2s or is it with a different weight. If that's on .2s then that's before joule creep kicks in.
what spring do you use in your vsr? also what barrel length? stock hop up with no mods?
How much fps do You have on 045bbs with crazy jet barrel?
I ended up getting one of the second batch of SSG24's, i had the option of buying a spring that fit my feild requirement. Was their no spring option for the first batch?
Also the stock is empty because it is supposed to be a compartment for batteries. The gun was made to caiter to the needs to the disigner who is a youtuber.
And finally, I find that his BB's shoot better out of the weapon, though i relieze they are expensive.
So what’s better?
How about vsr10 ssg24 vs srs silverback???
Do you use the Maple Leaf Adjuster Arm?
Provide us with yo tips yo. I have a snow wolf m24 completely customized in terms of parts. However, bit lost because even with a sr-hop I'm struggling to get anywhere close to your range with the vsr 10.
no video on how to create the suite or did I miss it? New subscriber..thanks!
Did u not think to change the spring to a less powerful 1?
Hi guys any chance for letting us all know the price of both guns with and without the upgrades... thank you... just so we have an idea...
Bry Airsoft I forgot to put in the video, I am using an ASPUK Sniper One hop arm, which are excellent.
Hi I've brought a left handed conversion kit for a ssg will it fit a vsr10 ????? Help
What Modifications have you done to your vsr?? kickingmustang
S-Trigger budget zero trigger.
Maple Leaf Crazy Jet, Nine Ball rubber, ASPUK Sniper One Arm.
Laylax Teflon cylinder + nozzle. M150 spring.
Does the nineball rubber work good with a bridgeless barrel ?
Thought you had to use the diamond or autobot buckings for that.
Impulse Yes it works.
if you have a airsoft sniper in uk that means that you cant play withit right ?
What spring was in each rifle?
🤘

vsr 10 marui is the best
jing gong bar 10 all the way
if you upgrade the gun
What is your vsr fps with 0.20 and what for bucking you use and what is the length of your barrel
465fps, but joules with the weight of BB being used is more important. I use Nineball bucking, 430mm Crazy Jet barrel
kickingmustang why not a maple leaf bucking? And you use the tm vsr hopup unit but what for hopup arm and and what for de hopup arm nub?
Hey Kicking what is the actual length of your VSR inner barrel? Also I guess you have some joule creep going on when you just chrono it with 2.2-2.3J, is that right?
Hey. It's a 430mm inner barrel. I'm thinking of going to 303mm to make it quieter. It is at 2.2 joules on .4 BBs. Less on .2s.
kickingmustang may is suggest something for you to look at? I myself use the wolverine Bolt right now (shoulder related problems zo I cannot pull back a spring with my right arm) and if you put acoustic dampening foam in de suspress or you have near to none noise
hey can you give me some help i need to know how mutch fps shold a air gun have to play in uk
hello what is your spring on the SSG24? (FPS ?) Thanks
Tsav Inski m150
kickingmustang thanks awesome Review. from your expérience which spring To put on ssg24 for a french muslim with french restriction ? Like 450 fps max allowed. thx
Tsav Inski You're going to need an M130 I imagine.
kickingmustang thanks for ur answer have a good day
Tsav Inski My pleasure, mate. 👍
I chose SSG24 for ???
it costs only 475 euros. and it's READY to use.
why I did not choose VSR-10 T.M.
Because the base model costs 250 euros and is not ready to be used!
In order to have similar performance to the SSG 24, he needs some improvements, for example, which he bought at AirsoftPro(average brand) costs about 800 euros and when you spend 250 + 800=1050 euro you have a rifle ready to use :) and give it is not as good as SSG24
prices to check here: airsoftpro.cz/en/filtr/?q=vsr+10
-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,
ceny do sprawdzenia tu: airsoftpro.cz/en/filtr/?q=vsr+10
at least he created his own gun and branded it,( what did you do) You are a good sniper sir and i love all your videos, but why did you make this?
Also even if his products were as good as advertised, I would still prefer to build my own, because that is just part of being an airsoft sniper along with making your ghillie suit.
what mods do i need to put ona vsr to make it shoot this good`? do you have a shoppng list
Do you have a video of SSG24 vs. SRS?
Not yet...
kickingmustang looking forward to it. 😎
When have you ever seen a movie at the cinema with a portrait orientation? F&&k sake
Can i use a ssg10 stock for my vsr 10 pro
Every Airsoft gun in Ireland has to be 1 joule max. Nothing above that is legal.... Kind of restricted on what and where we can buy Airsoft guns from as regarding from outside the country....!
Videos really get wanting to do this
2.5 J is not airgun.
Is there a part list of the vsr in use?
thats what i was looking for, he had some notes in the video while shooting the vsr but i didnt pay much attention to it.
@novritsch great vs
it also comes down to skill , rifle doesnt come with laser guided bbs , also fuck upgrading , i think the mindset that people have is weird its like your agreeing to buy something you know it sucks and that you basicly have to change everything on it if you want to have a decent rifle so your basicly paying 200 0r 300 euros for a plastic stock and metal tubing , sounds like a rip off to me ,. maybe with the arrival of the ssg companies might get their shit together and start making better products to compete with the better standart out of the box .
If anything i think vsr and bar 10 are overpriced you basicly trowing money at something you know it sucks
Now he s promoting ssg ;)))
Can you make a loadout video
TeamAnimals Ok :-)
Will try to get one done tomorrow for you as I prepare for a milsim in France,
love to see the loadout video grtz from belgium
the vsr10 will remain the best ever
This VDO need more view count.
lol, is the one dislike from Novritch :-))
Chris Jacobs propably😂
Ssg24 over priced for what it is. Just like paintballs sar12 lol.
Matis SVK wtf... in finland we can buy tm vsr-10 pro for like 210€
Not fair test 1 different shooter and probs different direction in wind
Cheers
get a silverback srs......end of discussion
