  • This drill incorporates the Circle-Down in the first video with the appropriate jump trajectory for a back handspring. This drill can be done into a foam pit as shown here, or onto a resi-mat or barrel. This athlete does a pretty good job of squeezing her shape and staying tight while landing in the pit. Athletes should be able to hold these good finishing shapes BEFORE being allowed to move to a resi or barrel. This is the first drill for a quality back handspring.
