This is a great drill for learning to control your personal body tension in a hollow shape. Make sure the kiddos are taking little tiny steps forward and backward. Knees and arms should be straight.

This drill is designed to help body control as the gymnast reaches backwards for the floor. Check to be sure gymnast is opening the shoulders and not touching her head! If a gymnast is very competent going down on their own, then they can attempt to stand back up as well.
