- Many succulents develop unsightly blister-like growth as well as bumps and warts on their leaves. The culprit is, in most cases water.
A condition called edeme (oedema) can create blisters, ruptures, wart or scab-like growth. It is caused by excessive uptake of water by the roots.
The leaves sometimes cannot transpire high volumes of water fast enough and so their cells rupture or growths develop.
Other things can cause blisters and warts, but are not as likely.
In this video we will define edema, when bumps and blister are most likely to establish, how to prevent & treat them.
