Sooo, I just moved my croton from North-Eastern window, to South Eastern window where it gets more full sun for better part of the day. I don't have high humidity available in the house, but I mist it with few drops of peppermint essential oil mixed in lot of water. I've heard that will prevent spider mites from making home in it. So far it looks like croton is liking the change and the treats and showing lot more red and yellows in the leaves. Almost all leaves are showing yellow and red streaks in the veins and lower leaves are almost totally red. I have put a grow lite in the pot too. Looks like I am getting obsessed with it😊
Soooo..., do Crotons respond well to Indian classical music !! How about if you talk to them morning and evening!!! I bought a, ooo... about 16" Croton from Home Depot. Gave it a ride home in my Jeep. And now it is sitting in my North-Eastern window in Living Room, where it gets morning sun for about 4 hours, then it's just indirect good Northern light rest of the day. So far, it looks happy. I noticed its blushing a bit too. Is that good? I always loved Crotons. They are beautiful creatures.
