While he usually shops their eBay store www.ebay.com/str/mfauto?_trks... for rare VW odds and ends, Scotto could not help but to stop by MF Auto's HQ in Knoxville, TN to see the motherlode for himself. MF Auto is home to over 18,000 square feet of every obscure Volkswagen part you might ever need. We’re talking everything from glove boxes to steering wheels to “böser blick” headlights. We’ll see if there’s any room left for passengers when he’s done. Plus, Scotto tours the sweet work the boys at @ujointoffroad did to convert Church Van into a 4x4 overlander.

It's second only to Scotto taking it easy on the van on the Dragon in the last episode not JUST because he wanted to avoid dying but because he SPECIFICALLY didn't want to die driving on a legendary road IN A VAN.

I was just a kid when I had my MK3’s. Imagine if we had adult money back then. Some folks did but I did my best. Now even finding a decent older VW is hard to find and I still don’t have much adult money to have projects.

The way Scoto is at these VW graveyards is the reason I can’t go to regular junkyards with 90s-2006 BMWs. I’ve got 3 complete i6s, a manual zf, and untold random bits and bobs. I’m about to pick up a manual awd trans, and several spare body panels and headlight pairs for my turbo x3 e83. I’ve been building cars for 3 years lol.

He's not lying! Those taillights are hard to find. My mk1 jetta needed taillights, and it took me 8 months of searching to find mine. Got mine from a guy selling mk1 gti parts in Bosnia. He didn't even have them listed for sale, but I sent him a dm on Instagram, and he pulled through. So yeah, they are hard to find

Fantastic episode, currently restoring a 74 beetle which I’ve been wanting to take to hoonigan once it’s running to go and buy some merch. Just need electrical (which I suck at) to get it running. Engine is rebuilt and ready to go.
