- Hey guys! Today I am showing you how you can turn a notebook into a budget planner. Check your school/office supplies stash before you go out and buy a notebook. Chances are you probably have one laying around somewhere. If you're like me, you probably keep them until they're all used up! I hope that this was helpful! Thanks for watching!

I had wanted to start a budget this year, but didn't know how or where to start even. I have been keeping a page where I list all my regular monthly bills and note when I pay each or they are auto withdrawn from my bank. While this has kind of worked, it doesn't really help me keep track of all my spending; cash, checks, credit cards or debit card purchases other then regular monthly bills. I have been so frustrated! I found your video, and I am so happy Idid! This seems very doable for me. Thank you so much for the way you presented this. Easy to understand and easy to follow. This will be a life saver for me!
@@apurposefulbudget Thank you so much!
This is the best one I've seen so far! I cannot afford a planner or a budget workbook. So a 25¢ notebook 📒 from Staples is totally doable!! Thank you so much!!!
Nice
Love it . No stickers no art just the essential.
I lov e this. No computer necessary. Customizable, portable, and inexpensive for us budgeters.
Yes 🙌🏼 I mostly use a budget spreadsheet now, but budgeting on paper helped me figure out my budgeting style, which helped me transition to a digital spreadsheet a whole lot easier.
Girl your writing is just wow!!!!
I am always looking for that fancy planner. My parents used a notebook and they were debt free. I am going to grab a notebook for this year.
I like that you can started a week on your pay day mine would be Tuesday
I enjoyed this. Nothing beats real pen and paper. I actually bought me 4 of those tablets and I really write in them. Sometimes you have to do that just to feel like a actual person.
@@apurposefulbudget Yes I do understand this. I too have to see the cross outs and doodling on paper and also the feel of paper. I have a planner, but I still believe in writing on piece of napkin or the back of an envelope, or clean writing space.
@@jordanruth0809 I agree sis. I'm a pen and paper person too.
I have purchased a couple of cheap budget books but i always ended up going back to my note book as well. Thanks for sharing. X
You can never go wrong with pen and paper. This was detailed and well explained. Thank you, Nilza!
Give me old school. When you write things down you reduce your chances of dementia, and Alzheimer’s. Along with that, you maintain your motor skill. Sorry didn’t mean to get off track. Thanks for sharing your budget planning. It has helped me greatly.
I did something similar to this and the best part is, if you mess up, tear the page out and start over!
I also put a column in for the actual amounts. (Ex: phone $143.82 due, budget $145, then if the bill fluctuates you're covered!)
This is great. I bullet journal too so definitely a few things I will be including in my next set up for February. Great ideas for people not able or wanting to spend a fortune on a planner.
I see this after spending a fortune on a budget workbook😩 definitely will give this a try next year
I love this. I have been using a notebook as well. i love the first few page overviews you have.
For the new year I made it a point to learn how to budget, your video is the first that I clicked on when searching on UA-cam. This is straight to the point and easy to follow! Thank you ! You have a new subscriber 😊
I am just finding your page. I really enjoyed watching your video. Thank you for sharing.
Your notebook for a budget was so detailed Nd clear I love it the best so far
Totally love this set up. Well explained!!!
Thanks love your notebook. No stickers, easy and logic to understand, is almost the way I have mine.
I like your easy set up and it was very detailed oriented. Thank you for sharing! Also I love your handwriting!
Thank You for the break down real simple not complicated and your actually working with a real budget, thanks for keeping it real. I need to get a budget going for this new year we are buried in medical bills and credit card debt it's getting out of hand. So yep i will be repurposing one of my composition books this year. You have put my stress to ease now. Thank you thank you thank you.
I use the stiff backed composition books left over from school supplies my kids didn't need
Super helpful video. Thank you for keeping it simple.
You have a new sub! Thank you for this. I am on a tight budget and I can't even afford a budget planner at this point and this was so helpful. Now I have a guide to go by...headed to the 99cent store🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️
I love this! And I also love your handwriting.
This is amazing. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
I love this! Thanks you so much really needed this
Love this one!! Thanks so much for the tips very helpful :)
Awesome video!! Thank you so much for sharing. Have a wonderful day. 👍🤑😊
This was a good video!! I actually was pausing to take notes and write out each section for my budget of what suits me. When it came to the calendar, I was like hmmm...to the computer!! Lol so I went on excel, the calendar tab and selected the best calendar from there to print out. Other than that, this is most def a budget saving, DIY, awesome way of creating a budget planner. Great job and thanks for sharing 🥰
@@apurposefulbudget That'll be awesome!! Im looking forward it 🤗
Thank you so much for sharing! Your video was so helpful.
This was really really helpful!!! Thanks a lot ✨🤗🥰
Awesome job
So inspiring !!especially with all the hype on different planners coming out it increases my anxiety -this is just the thing to help bring in some calmness.
Thank you!!!
I find budget planners give me anxiety period lol just soo much that goes into it! I like simple, and some planners are just full of way too much stuff
Wonderful, helpful video. Thanks so much!
Good video. Just a tip. Its a good idea to not use the same password for multiple accounts in case you are a victim of identity theft. I have mine all different and they are random letters and numbers characters pain the butt but makes it harder for anyone to crack. I keep my passwords on a special notebook not on my computer or phone.
Love the password option I do that in the hints area of certain cite
You have great handwriting!
Good morning, this is really good and put together so you can follow.
Hey there! Thank you so much 😊
Love it 😍
Hi ! Just simple and efficient. I do the same in France.
First time watching and new subscriber
Very nice. Thanks for shearing.
Awesome Budgeting Idea I love it Thank you
Aww that you so much! Thanks for watching ❤️
Hello thank you so much for this tutorial i am new in budgeting and it is good to know that you can use any notebook .
No problem! Sometimes a notebook and pen is all you need! Good luck ❤
This was great. Going back to basics.
@@apurposefulbudget Me too ☺
Thank you!
Loving your budget planner! 💫 Keep rising to be who you want to be! 💫 #keeprising #risingtobe #aswerise #riser #irise
I thoroughly enjoyed this video!! Well thought out, organized, and easy to follow! New sub here!!! Thanks!!!
Aww thank you so much!! 😊
Very good.
Love this! What pen is this? It writes so smooth!
Do you do cash envelopes? I love your video I'm get me a note book and start my budget. I don't like cash envelopes that's why I ask if you do it.
Hey Roxanne! So happy you found me on Instagram to answer your questions because I don't see my notifications for UA-cam as easily as Instagram 🙈.
Very nice and simple, I use the same system. But only use 2 sheets, left side left side of sheet write my income, and the map of my sinking funds (one bank account ÷ in 6 accounts) and my goals for that month. In the right side sheet all write all my committed monthly expenses ( listed by due date ) at the end of this list write the variable expenses. Like groceries, car gasoline, eating out, others etc.
Thanks so much for this! It's very helpful! I have a question regarding your budgeted savings. How do you keep track of your bi-weekly savings from month to month so as to know your savings total per category? Would you add another page, or a few depending on how many savings goals there are, at the end to keep track of how much you've actually saved per category so you'd know when a goal is met?
Love it is almost the same as me.🙏
Great video! I've been using spiral notebooks forever. God to know that I'm not alone. It just seems easier to use (and remove pages, if needed). Those plants are so cute that I don't want to write in them! (smile) Will add the monthly calendar page and a few others. That ruler is also my spiral notebook companion (along with a regular medium Bic pen and a fine point to avoid smearing at times).
Hey there! Thank you so much! I upgraded to a bigger notebook for 2022 :) Sometimes, pen and paper just works out better. It just can get messy at times, but that's what white out is for right? 😅
I suggest an app for password management that has a passcode to get into. The one i use has a double protection area for more sensitive information. Don’t write down passwords ever. You never know what may happen to the notebook in case of a robbery in your house.

New subscriber!
So detailed, I use a budget planner but I still write out my budget on a separate sheet. I'm trying to either use Google sheets or just regular pen and paper for 2022 but we'll see. We don't have alot of great budget book options in Canada and sometimes ordering from the US means extra fees at the border 🙄.
Hi Natalee! If you are still considering using excel, check out this video for an easy setup!! ua-cam.com/video/YzjMKxzSM2Q/v-deo.html
Are u filipina? I noticed from yr handwriting the A and E's
Great to be writing ✍ as we're more im control of our money so well done u
@@apurposefulbudget awww I so knew it hehe I can easily tell by the handwriting as my hubby writes that way too 🇵🇭 anyway yes u are so right Im jotting everything down on paper that I spend on too as it keeps me in control of things. Hate spending on unnecessary rubbish like we usually pick up whilst shopping about. Now I'm so good cut my food spend less then half and still buy all the necessary good quality stuff.
