Love it! I homeschool my kids and this is perfect for them to keep themselves organized and definitely on a budget. Will be adding this to our homeschool routine! Thank you.
I admit I’ve spent so much money on planners as well, So happy you found this video helpful. Sometimes we just have to get back to the basics and remember when we’re planning in the first place. Thanks for tuning in!
This is what I do instead of buying those expensive journals! I buy the EXCEED Journals and make it into a planner I still do the same thing, decorate them and make the layouts according to what I want to add or take out of my schedules!!! I love that its 100% customizable this way!!! I enjoyed this video, I’m glad to see that someone other than myself does it this way!
Customization is what I love most about planning. No one knows your lifestyle like you do. Having a blank canvas allows you to create your way. Thanks for tuning in!
This is so smart, especially if you like your stuff to be spread out when looking at it, which you can't do comfortably when using smaller planners. I love this, thanks for sharing.
So basically you used a spiral notebook to make a bullet journal instead of an expensive bound notebook. . . A good advantage here is the pages can be ripped out and kept in a 3 ring binder. Ever since i was a toddler i have loved spiral notebooks! I can clearly remember the grownups around me writing in them and me having fits because i wanted one and being told i was too young because i couldn't even write yet. I was in Heaven when i finally got my first one. In high school my older cousin moved away from our small hometown. She was homesick so i'd stock up on the spiral notebooks and write down each day what happened in our town plus in my own life. When the notebook was completely filled up i'd mail it to her & start a new one. She absolutely loved them and now i would pay good money to be able to read them again.
I want to praise you for being great as you save the resources and the environment and the earth although I still prefer a fancy notebooks. Keep it up!
This is how I started out planning many years ago and it was exactly what I needed. I’ve been using many different planners since then and never had planner peace until I created my own again for this year and I love it and use it much more than my Happy Planner! Great video!!
Love this and how you showed different layouts. I could try different formats. Vertical. Horizontal. A week on one page. Two pages. Or a page per day, and see what works best. I don't think I'd get along with vertical. I used to have a planner that worked well for me with one day covering a 2-page spread (but it was a small pocket size).
Great video! I have many blank notebooks at home waiting to be used and your instructions will help me with just that! Thank you very much and warm hugs from 🇧🇷
My broke highschool student ass is watching this because apparently all the affordable planners were sold out at my nearby store so this was SO helpful, I genuinely think I'm going to use this for the rest of my highschool years
Hi Jessica! I see more and more comments about stickers and plan to do one about stickers being a distraction. Glad you found this video motivating. More functional planning videos to come :) Thanks for tuning in!
Thanks so much for making this video! I really am looking forward to to simplify things and there are some great ideas here. I got a notebook from Dollar tree and am gonna have at it!
Thank you so much. I've been looking for a layout for the longest. Seen so many, overwhelming. You have giving me so many ideas and simple. -God Bless.
I was becoming indecisive on what planner to buy because none fit me (overly priced) and I loved that you took the time to show us this video. Thank you thank you!!! I will be creating one this upcoming month.
Thank you! This is just what I was looking for! This would give me room to experiment with layouts and even rip out pages if I wanted to. If I ran out of room in a notebook I could continue with another and keep them in a 3 ring binder. I am more interested in functionality than doing planning as a hobby/creative outlet. Love the price too!
I have been looking all day for a printable planner. Something that is inexpensive, because I'm trying to budget and save money. Then, BOOM! You just saved my life.
I'm a few years late to this video but thank you so much for it! This coming year, I want to downsize, declutter, and use what I have. I own a few notebooks that are going to be planners this coming year!

Where were you when I was lost before I l found HP with 8 planners in at 1st because I couldn't find my planner peace, anywhoo good for you with showing us there was a way without breaking the bank. Nice video! You could also do this w/composition books. If you watch for the back-to-school sales at Staples around end of July or so, I've gotten them for 10-cents each before. That way, you get more pages (200) and they're easier to decorate the covers OR these days you can get them with pretty covers already but I believe they would cost more. YEARS ago here, there was a girl...DazzleDIY was her name...and she did a quick planner book video from a composition book. I haven't seen anything from her in a very long time though, but I assume her old videos are still up. You know, it's weird...I used a simple spiral notebook as my diaries all through my teenage years and into my early 20s (basically all through the '80s) but now in my old age (52, I'm sorry to say), for a planner, I think I have to use something fancy. Anyway, great ideas though. :)

@@lakiamaria no, I have binder's of family history and pages to add, but how to face the big job that is. you see 7 binder's link to 7 other binder,s and I WOULD LIKE TO UP DATE THE INFORMATION I HAVE PLACE HERE AND ALL OVER THE OFFICE. To know it is getting done would be a start. BUT i question, did I GET IT ALL OR DID i forget something.
@@DonnaGable-e9j Oh I understand. Since the 7 binders connect, maybe starting with each updating each binder individually. You could even use the main binder (or however many) as a base for what's mandatory to update. Once they're all individually updated, proceeding to update the main binder should be a simple process.
"Live beyond the margins." Dang. That was *DEEP* for a planner video. I like it!

We have planners for 1 or 2 euros😭
Whenever I feel like I’m losing control of my life I always revert back to just a regular notebook for planning.

Thanks for tuning in Tamra!
Do you think you could help me with family history stack of mess of paper, I LIKE SIMPLE PAGES. I DO HAVE Red, Yellow, Green, blue, for each Surname and on.
What exactly are you looking to organize? Personal info? Keep a record?
