Noted you do have the new joint bars with the correct alternating direction of the bolts when installed. As always you all doing a first class job.

That, you’re right. I noticed the details of that shortly after I shot that demonstration…go figure. Always appreciate the comments, my friend.

Nice Video, Any Clue If/When 8330 will be repaired?

Only time will tell, but it is priority 1 for the new year (barring track failures or unforeseen issues). We have all hands on deck right now setting up for Christmas, and that’s going to take all we’ve got until that’s over. Updates will come.

It's always amazed me how that place has gone from nothing to what they have now. If I could turn back time, I'd love to stop that from taking hold of my once good community. Just like all the housing, the " so-called museum " is in infection like a cancer to Parrish. Pat may as well just get his way and change all the names he wants.

Dakota Posts again! I am hyped to see what else the FL RR Museum has in store next. I quite literally binge watch this Man's videos and let me say. They are very impressive and I hope to see more of these. Keep up the good work.

Well, I’m glad you’re liking these updates. We have plenty more in store, but I’m obviously limited in how often I find time to get these videos together. As we speak, we’re decorating everything for Christmas, and we only have so much time before trains start running November 30th. We’ve got quite a bit to do, but videos will come in due time. Glad to know you’ll be around to see them, and I always appreciate the comments!

@@kotabeaner No problem. I Railfan the A-Line and live in North Carolina and this is the busiest CSX line in the entire state but hey what can I say. usually alot of catches are hit or miss as you call em.

I just pulled the site up on google earth and it shows a large building which doesn't seem to appear in the 360 ground views. What's the story here?

The video is very informative, thank you for your time in preparing the video. I wish I lived closer to the FRRM, I would love to be a volunteer there and help out. TY

Maybe split type lock washers work; but NordLock washers would be better.

Awesome video!! All the track work looks great & reminds me of similar track work I did when I worked for Seminole Gulf :)

Well thank you, Alex! That’s great to hear, because the rehab did not come easy. I’d be willing to bet that Seminole Gulf was much more gracious with machinery available to do the work.

@@kotabeaner You’re welcome 😁!! I was a track inspector trainee when I worked with them :) when my work buddy & I changed out or just simply tightened track bolts we had a battery powered portable impact wrench & manual wrench as well

    Isn't between 1 & 3 mph 2 mph?

The rail heats and contracts that’s what makes the bolt holes miss align in the bar, best time to do bolts is mid day if you can get a drift pin it makes life worlds easier. Any of the webbers with lock washers Maness or I replaced within the last 10 years many were replaced in the first 3 miles in the last 3 years. I would recommend lock washers on the old webbers as it keeps the nut from backing off so easy as there isn’t much of the heart of pine in the center left on many of the bolts allowing them to lossen faster. Looks good great video take good care of the old line I know I left it in good hands
    Lots of love from Tennessee

Thanks Gray, it’s good hearing from you. Interesting you mention that, as we hit that joint right around 11 or 12 in the afternoon…I suppose the summer temperatures had already beat us to it - I didn’t realize the expansion would cause such a drastic shift like that.
Thanks again, we will do the best we can - I’m very optimistic about our line of new volunteers, as much as I owe it to you, Mark, Josh, and everyone else on that sign to ensure trains keep running for as long as physically possible. Hope all is going well for you, my friend.

I'd like to see 8330 in a modified Illinois Central & Gulf livery with FRRM or Florida Railroad Museum on the sides.
