I just assembled mine, and I anchor mine to my SUV. I got it to work on my zero turn mower, 55 miles from home. If I hit something, & need to repair a part, I can lift the mower safely, investigate, and carry on. It’s a heavy tool, but I dissembled it into 3 parts, that fit in the back of the SUV 🚙. I’m a 74 year old man, and I can manage each part.
Finally a hitch mount crane that doesn't flex al over the place.
Thanks
The fellow who come up with such designs should go straight to heaven when their time is up on earth..
Bruh! 😂😂😂 I get your passion and I'm 💯% with you. Lol
Thank you for sharing, your ingenuity of the receiver hitch. A lottle more custom fabrication always desired. The location possibilities are endless. I suspect lift height can be imrproved.
The failure points on my harbor freight crane was the hand crank winch and at the posts on the taller, gray model. My solution was to sleeve the tall post with an outer pipe of stronger gauge metal. It was my fault, i release the bottle jack way too quick. The weakest part of this lift system is the hand-crank- user beware, I am now Installing a power winch. Should help both failures. $160, taller gray model mounted to 2 of the bed frame rails by the drivers side cab. 13 gmc 2500Then added $120 in an 18" pipe extension and aluminum plate that has a hole cut out to support the post higher up..
Maxxtow doesnt but I have seen a Harbor freight one that does. Although you need to do some major fabrication to your truck bed to support the weight. The good thing about the Maxxtow is that it takes most of the weight.
Good question, but I have no idea. That would save me some time if it did work.
I like it just wondering if they have one that could attach to inside of bed to save all the set up and dis-mantling.
They got some cool stuff, the other guy, “ yea they also got some cool stuff there. Reminds me of the movie Pootie tang.
Did you guys have the Hydraulic Needle Valve screwed in and seated well on the jack? It looked like it was jacked excessively for no more Lift than you were getting per stroke. It also could be low on hydraulic oil. I think It should have picked that small light load with fewer strokes.
Good video, do you know if this hoist crane will work on the 4X4 truck with a 4"-6" suspention lift?
How did you get that bar on the top in order to attach to did you have to add it?
"You don't want to be dropping a load". I do that every day.
Does it mount to the hitch?
Good video, thank you.
Looks nice, love the swivel, love the swing stability, but it doesn’t deposit deep enough into the truck bed for my needs.
Totally agree. They had it extended all the way out and yet the generator was hitting the side of the truck when loaded. No way you could load it if the pin (arm) was set on 1000 lbs.
@@bambam0099 yeah with the canted angle on the upper, the 1000 pound is only 15-20 inches from the pivot point. If you can put it straight into the receiver and lower the tailgate, so you are putting things in the center of the tailgate, maybe, but it will still not put it into the bed itself.
ad dc powered winch
OK, I want one of these!
Me 2
I'm sold.
Wow I did not know they existed ! Thanks !
yw
When this is at its maximum weight, far will it go down...low enough to get a 1000 lb item (probably big) from the bed to the ground with adequate lift height? I can't find any specifications for maximum/minimum height of hook at max weight
IndianapolisGerry lift height from 30" to 84" ive been looking into them for about a week
love the reviews guys and awsome close up fottage!
cool tool i dont like how it doesnt go all the way into the bed though if your lifting 1000 pounds theres no way that arm is gonna be long enough and then our stillbreaking your back to get your stuff off the tailgate
I'm curious if this would be strong enough to pull fence posts along with concrete piers out of the ground. Thoughts?
That’s one of the things I bought it for, but mostly to lift my zero turn mower, for maintenance on the blades or deck. 74 years old, not a lot of help available, still like it safe!
maybe a farm jack would be better suited for that
Would love to know if you can attach a chain extension and use the gorillabac screw wheel to lift rounds...this is heavier duty than the gorillabac model.
whats the highest the bottom of the chain(the hook) sit at?
Esta super este mecanismo para levantar objetos y cargas pesadas es genial saludos desde México ciudad 🇲🇽🔩🔧
Looks like the 1000# position would put a load on top side of your truck bed.
This thing needs some more development. Disappointing that it won’t actually reach over the truck bed. Also, does it come with a second smaller crane to help set it up? Lol
If you can't handle setting it up, you have no business driving a truck.
that would be epic for little ppl to lift themselves up into the bed of their trucks to move stuff around they just need a good strong belt on and they can have at it.
lol, it takes a minute or so
Harbor Freight reaches further all the way into the bed and only cost $99.00 dollars and lift the same weight........
You talking one that goes in hitch or mounts on the bed?
How would you lift a 1000lb item into the truck with relocating to 1000lb bolt?
You obviously should have have no load on it, then move the bolt to 1000 lb slot. Then try picking up your load
Just buy a utility trailer with a ramp. roll it up the ramp, and there it is. tows with a ford focus.
Idk if it has wheels, just use a ramp?
Is this from jegs?
no
Too bad its not electric! I don't have all day to pump that stupid thing inch by inch for every single log I gotta put in.
Drew Carey?
This is great. It would be great if it had heavy duty pneumatic tires and a adjustable sliding bottom rail. But this is great... Try loading up a fully loaded knack or jobox with on of these, that generator seemed really close to the edge of the tailgate, reason why I was suggesting a slidit bottom rail and pneumatic wheels with lock.
Sliding
Still can't see how this type of thing is more useful than just getting an engine crane.
You can't haul an engine crane with the vehicle.
@Brian Woodrow You'd think I'd speak for you? I don't even know your language.
Dude looks like Drew Carey, but sounds like Irwin.
great
i think 2 aluminum ramps and one middle school kid can push that generator up. much Cheaper and faster.
The arm is way too short. Using the 500 lb position barely got that gen set into the truck. Using the 1000 lb position would have you busting out your tail light.
AlaskaErik the rail that supports the crane can be moved in & out, closer to the center of your truck. Tailgate is the weak link.
@@hans-jurgenwiegand7465 and at least on my GM trucks the tailgate is easy to remove. Not so much on the newer "feature filled" tailgates.

looks to me like a boat winch would help...
Yes, we will have a Spitzlift video up soon
Dude !? How long did it take you to hoist up that genny ? Me and a couple guys could have thrown it in my cube van quicker. Lmfao I know its a demo --- but still :O
You and your guys - duh. This is designed for a single person to use.
What are the odds that this could lift a roof rack off of a pickup topper?
If you get it high enough, yes
@@Toolsinaction I guess that was my question. Will it go high enough?
Looks like a hoyer lift
I've just learned that the thing was almost freaking 140 lb.
114lbs and it comes apart.. so not too bad.
But it’s three pieces. Probably no more than 40-50 pounds each. That’s not so bad...
I just commented so I could be the 100th comment.🎉
Why only 1000 pounds?
lol Pap
should work to change engien on a car
I wouldnt
takes forever to load anything
***** True, takes some time but without it you could never do it yourself
LMAO
I could... with a hernia!
Lots of shit to do with that crane.....Harbor Freight is a lot cheaper and easier to work with......Doesn't take assembly every time to be use, you assembly and attachet to the truck bed and stays there forever in top of the wheel well ready to be used.
i don't like. the reach is to short i like to put weight in the middle of the truck!!!
you guys could have lifted this in in 30 seconds
Just pick it up
It's not very convenient looking
Gay
114 # crane , u need another crane to load that one
It separates into 3 pieces, so I would imagine no one piece is over 40 pounds or so. Right?
