Quadratec Stealth Light Bar Long Term Update
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 жов 2024
- This is my honest no BS long term review of the Quadratec Stealth Light Bar. I have had this light bar installed in my Jeep for just over 2 years now. It has preformed well with no issues since I added the weather striping along the bottom where it meets the windshield. This light bar was fully purchased with my own money and not sponsored or endorsed in any way by Quadratec, and doubt if they will even see my reviews ;-). This light bar is actually manufactured by mPower, and you can search for that as well as an alternative to Quadratec.

Stealth Gen 2 coming out April 2024 by watching your videos I’m very sold. I’m the same way don’t want light bars making annoying noise
Love this light bar. For anyone wanting to show it off as a DRL, don't. It's very bright. And people will flash you. I wish it had a dimmer or at least a way to control which lights are on (i.e. 4-middle or 2x2 outside edge only).
Thanks for making the video. Could you possibly make another video on how you managed light leak?
That’s so cool.
I
Will be putting one in my gladiator.
My gladiator is nothing fancy or lifted big but does what I need it to do.
Looking good though.
Will the amber lights dim if I put a dimmer switch on the bar?
I don’t see why this would not work.
That’s a good idea.
Installed Gen.I on my 392 few months ago, worked realy well for a month and then all the sudden stopped working!
I went over the installation again step by step, but i couldn't find what is wrong. I even had to replace the jeep battery under warrantee as it was giving me AUX Switches Temp unavailable at start.
The Aux battery is nothing but problems. I bypassed and removed mine.
@@BradKoester
There is no AUX battery in the 392. Just some Aux switches connected to the jeep battery. It's common to get the "Aux Switches temp not avail" whenever there is a voltage drop in the battery. I replaced mine and no longer get the warning msg. However, the light bar still doesn't work!
Does your 12v port working? It might have a blown fuse.
Nice work.
How did you install the weatherstripping?
I used a dry erase marker to mark the bottom the light bar on the windshield. Then dropped the windshield down and put the weather stripping along the line. When I put the windshield back up it lined up perfectly.
Just installed a light leak sucks.. they should have this taken care of..just installed mine and love it..but that light bleed
I also had the same issue. I installed some weather stripping along the bottom and solved the light bleed. Been happy now for over 4 years.
@@BradKoester Yeah, I plan on doing the same... They need to redesign that factory seal.
Fully agree
Thank you! Do you ever lower your windshield? I'm curious if your weather stripping fix would be suitable for the couple of us who run around with the windshield down. Would the light bar itself hold up to 60+mph driving without a windshield in place?
I do not lower my windshield very often, so not to sure how it would hold up.
Does it not block your view out? I'm tall so i need all the windshield i can get.
Wondering if this affected you
I’m 6 ft tall. It does block some stop lights, but other than that stelae is good.
@@BradKoester very cool! Thank you
So what is the difference between Gen I and Gen II? Looking at a really good price on a new in the box Gen I.
I believe there is a slight design change and slightly brighter lights.
thanks
Does this provide long range like other light bars or mostly for spread?
Surprisingly it does really well. It might be slightly less than something like a gravity bar, but it is right there. And the new Gen2 is brighter.
Does it strobe?
It does not strobe out of the box - just on or off.
Do you habe the adaptive cruice control? If so is it blocked?
I do not have the adaptive cruise control. There is a light bar for the models that have adaptive cruise control. The one for adaptive cruise control is two pieces.
Any glare off the hood?
This was a concern when I first put this on. There is no glare off the hood, even before I put the solar panel on the hood. And this is the same for either the amber or white lights.
What about the heat from it?
It does get warm, but not hot.
