1/72 Airfix Hawker Typhoon Ib ~ build review and reveal

  • Airfix's 2013 tool of the Hawker Typhoon Ib is not only very nicely produced but also a very well designed kit construction-wise. Parts practically align themselves into the correct position.
    This one has a small conversion in that a 3-bladed resin propeller was used instead of the standard 4-bladed one from the kit.
    The model in this video was an entry for the 2018 Quick Kits D-Day Group Build.

    You did a very professionnal work on this beautiful kit. The paint sheme with faded coulours is particulary interesting! Well done!

      Thanks ^^ Originally I wanted to build it straight out-of-the-box (as the box-art version flew its last mission with a Dutch pilot IRL), but I changed it into a D-Day version for the QK group build.
