In my youth in the late 70’s I began building models on Monogram 1/48 WW2 a/c. Later when I got older and after life took me away from modeling I found Hasegawa to be that sweet spot returning to the hobby. This kit ,though not perfect, brings out skills and patience but end results just make it worth the journey. I enjoy your reviews and they inspire me to continue to model on! Thanks!
I built the Eduard boxing of the later bubble top Typhoon and liked it so much I bought a second to put in the stash. I totally agree with adding the inserts first then joining the fuse together. The only fit issue I had was the top of the forward fuse. There was a sizable gap that needed some sheet styrene to fill. On the next one I'll leave out a bunch of the photo etch in the cockpit like all the small gussets between the tubie structure since none of it is visible when closed up. If Eduard still produces the photo etch set get it. The seat and radiator detail are worth the price alone.
I have just come across your channel and this review, I have had this kit 'partly' started, and one of the issues I had was the seperate four fuselage pieces, not when i have my current builds finished I may go back to it, do you do build reviews as well? Thanks for this review and good luck for the future with your channel, best regards from Australia 👍👍👍👍
Thanks Les! I have reviews of some of my finished kits, some in-process reviews, and some in-box reviews. I'm releasing two reviews per week at this point. Cheers!
Hi Jon, Love the video very clear and informative is there a part 2 i.e painting? Hi Mike! I have recently released two painting technique videos which will apply to any kit if you're using an airbrush: ua-cam.com/video/5mZ4fFRdaD8/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/dFy5eFzc5gY/v-deo.html I would try eBay - there are many of these kits on there now. I just searched for Hasegawa Typhoon. Good luck in your search!

Очень верно. Это заставляет задуматься, не копируют ли производители друг друга.

Right on! I like the Eduard photo etch sets. At a minimum, the Eduard seatbelts really dress up any 1/48 cockpit.

@@mikestreet3592 Glad to hear you're back at it!
Cool kit.
Agreed!
Hasegawa kits are expensive here in the UK,even old ones like this.
They're not cheap here. It's why I shop in the used kit section at the local hobby store.
