Marty, you are a great teacher and it is much appreciated. So many tutorials' narrators get distracted by minutiae, taking ten minutes to say what could actually be said in two and losing me along the way. Thanks for being so well prepared.

One of the best PS tuts I've ever watched. Instructor spoke slowly, distinctly and didn't leave anything out. He's my new PS guru! Many thanks.

Marty, Your method of tutorials is top of the list with me. Viewers can actually learn something. Your speech is easy to understand and the time and talent that you all have at Blue Lighting TV is the best example of what video tutorials should be. So many tutorials on You Tube are just self centered people with their blah blah blah explanations accompanied with an endless supply of useless words and direction. Your style is the ABSOLUTE BEST. Thank You for all your efforts and professionalism.

Wow, this tutorial is very useful. The first time it can be frustrating to spend a lot of time making few changes. But then it gets easier and the results are worth it. It is excellently narrated, video highly recommended for all who want to learn.

thanks brilliant tutorial, for those who are using the new adobe software to access the refine edge tool you need to go to select hold shift and click on select and mask. other then that everything else is the same.

instead of making a screenshot, print your wordle as pdf. instead of a rasterized text, you'll have the actual text; vector based. this will be way better quality if you're working on very large images. amazing tutorial though :D

I've just finished a version of this. The instructions are very clear. The build up, I have found, does not prepare you for the final result, which I have to say is just superb. I am well chuffed. Thank you very much for providing such an excellent tutorial. I would like to see more. My only stumbling block has been finding a word cloud program that i could use. Wordle does not work on my Mac. It did a few years ago, but no longer. I'm guessing it's something to do with the operating system. After searching through what is currently available, (Not much) the only one that came close to providing the sort of quality I needed was Word Art. This is chargeable. I used to use Tagxedo alot but this is not supported on macs anymore either, sadly.

I have being using PS Elements for a while, and very recently upgraded to photoshop CC, which is more versatile, but MUCH more complicated, so good tutorials, like this, help!
Thank you for this tutorial. This was very complicated, but the simple step-by-step made this easier to follow.
I am having trouble with java, so wasn't able to use "wordle", but used "word it out" instead. Not as versatile, but good enough.
Also, right toward the end, my portrait was a lot darker for some reason, so I used "multiply" instead of "linear burn" for the portrait.
I am looking forward to your other PS tutorials.
