Tabaluga is so underrated in the Flying Bark lineup of animated tv shows, i don't hear a lot from other people.
But from Poland you can hear a lot!!
This has no right to sound this good.

+TheGoku Arktos is a lot like Robotnik from what i remember, though probably not quite as much as SatAM, with a bit of a mix of aosth as well.

I remember this 1997 German-Australian cartoon. I used to watch it when I was a kid. It was shown on TG4 (formerly known as TnaG) in between the late 1990s and the early 2000s. It was dubbed in Irish Gaeilge but it was also dubbed in English.
Y'all are talking about how the German version is better but no one said anything about the Polish version.
It's the best and I love this show because it was a huge part of my childhood and I still have the song memorized to this day. Greetings from Poland.😊

I remember when this aired on Channel 7 in Australia way back when! Especially the lyric "great big block of ice" stood out in my mind!

ScreenPlay Germany Maya the bee, vicky, alice in wonderland, pinoccio, tao tao, bibi blocksberg, benjamin blümchen and much more, all these german tv shows were also showed in other countrys. Sadly that germany dosnt produce such shows anymore

Nya, I do care ^^ I don't know in the United States but in my country and I suppose that in all Europe the cartoons made in Germany, Sweden and other continent brothers, have been loved by children and succeeded in our different televisions. I imagine that I can extrapolate that to Spanish cartoons, such as The Authentic Adventures of Professor Thompson, The triplets, Scruff, Cuttlas Microfilms, Detective Bogey, Mofli the last koala, etc. right?

Going to have to say it's a tie between the German and English version. The soft voice of the german dub and the gritty rough version of the english dub both match elements of the intro.

I looked up this theme song because the main title theme for Thor: Ragnarok made me think of this. Definitely how I remembered this when I watched it as a kid.

It honestly feels like yesterday i was watching this. I remember getting ready for football in the morning as a child and this was on, It came on just after Video Hits and Hit me baby one more time was the number one song on it! I can remember it so vividly its insane! 13 years ago... i'm 21 now.

Flying Bark Animation which created the animated series is Australian. The idea of Tabaluga and some of his adventures are German in origin, but the animated series is Australian in origin.

I used to watch this as a kid of the age 4 or 6 @ my grandmothers place but after watching two to three shows it ended & became lost to me but now I have found it again thanks to Google & You Tube. :3

@RusTabaluga 'Tabaluga' was actually invented by a famous german rock musician, Peter Maffay. The series made it's first appearance in german TV, the ZDF in 1997.
Long before the series there were a lot of cds with the adventures of tabaluga, the first released in 1983. Until today, there are 5 music albums about tabaluga. for further details visit wikipedia^^

Well, the "ice side" and the "forest side" provided a clear distinction to kids about what was good and what was evil. In this case, Artoks was the villan, (selfish, arrogant,) Tabaluga (considerate, selfless) was the one stablizing peace between the two realms.
However, it wasn't all clear cut that the ice side was always the "villianous evil" ones, there are episodes in Tabaluga where we get insight into the characters from the "nazi ice world" such as one episode with the Penguin, James.
