Whenever I hear Sowell talk,, I hear the human embodiment of integrity and intelligence.
I marvel at his patience with the rest of us.
He basically said yeah there is income equality but the races have had completely different histories in this country so what do you expect 😂😂

Tom Sowell is possibly the single most intellegent person of this era. What a loss it will be when he passes and takes all his human capital aka "knowledge and understanding," with him.

Luckily he’s written tons. People like us won’t forget. If we’re lucky we may be able to pass some of that knowledge/ clarity of thought to our kids.

Thank you Mr. Sowell. You're epistemological approach to debating the issues facing humanity today is not only refreshing, but in my view, imperative.
Sowell is why I decide to pursue a master's degree in economics. If you study economics, you'll find that there's a bias in the academia. Keynesian economics is heavily taught because it favors the central state. This is why you only hear big names like Maynard Keynes and karl Marx. Heck, you won't even know who Friedman is unless you majored in the subject. Guys like Friedman and Sowell have so much common sense that they had to be taken out of academia. I'm glad I did my readings outside of the classroom.

Idea of equality is bad in it's core because we all are different
Equality of opportunity is different from equality of outcome, if they want the 2nd, they've got to do away with the 1st, hence discriminatory anti white policies.

I have heard numerous people speak of Mr. Sowell but this is the first time I have heard him speak. I am impressed. What a great mind and he speaks,so that a lay man can understand. His comments on siblings and IQ I found to be quite telling. It explains a whole lot of stupid. How many siblings one has and their ages should be a question on all job applications.... I personally am the 3rd of four.. It's all clear to me now. ha ha

Everyone in the world can be motivated as hell and the top 5% of the population will ALWAYS own over 50% of the nations wealth. It is what is. Income inequality has nothing to do with the other 95% who own less than half of the wealth in our nation. It will never change, it's a moot point, it can't change. Nothing has changed in our country from an economic standpoint as far as how wealth is distributed.

There is. There are plenty of people who work harder than you that live near or at the poverty line and some people who never worked at all that live better than you. There is inequality. I like Thomas sowell , everyone must read his book basic economics. However he is from the Chicago school, and I like my Econ the way I like my guns, Austrian. Still I love Thomas sowell and his basic economics book is a must read. I will have my future children read his books
