    Sowell is why I decide to pursue a master's degree in economics. If you study economics, you'll find that there's a bias in the academia. Keynesian economics is heavily taught because it favors the central state. This is why you only hear big names like Maynard Keynes and karl Marx. Heck, you won't even know who Friedman is unless you majored in the subject. Guys like Friedman and Sowell have so much common sense that they had to be taken out of academia. I'm glad I did my readings outside of the classroom.

    "The greatest capital is inside people's heads " that man is spot on. The big issue seems to me to be is motivation .
    Why are some more motivated than others, it has to come for the most part from the home, parenting, but like he said " you can't even get equal outcomes from people in the same family "

    • @chairmanoftheboard11
      @chairmanoftheboard11 2 роки тому

      Everyone in the world can be motivated as hell and the top 5% of the population will ALWAYS own over 50% of the nations wealth. It is what is. Income inequality has nothing to do with the other 95% who own less than half of the wealth in our nation. It will never change, it's a moot point, it can't change. Nothing has changed in our country from an economic standpoint as far as how wealth is distributed.

      @Ken MacDonald Automation takes any job it can do more efficently than a human can not just low skilled workers. Even Wall Street has been affected.

      @@mukiwabanda2794 your more of an idiot than you think pal the difference today is automation is taking on the thinking jobs not just manual ones. If you used your own brain and did some research into things you might see everyone from goverments to business leaders to billionaires telling you the same thing.

    Many shows have on such a distinguished guest as Dr. Thomas Sowell, and rarely let him express the wisdom he has, THEY AGAIN AND AGAIN want to show they agree and talk over him...

    There's no income inequality just people whom work hard and make intelligent life choices and those whom don't.

      There is. There are plenty of people who work harder than you that live near or at the poverty line and some people who never worked at all that live better than you. There is inequality. It just doesn't matter because we live in a dog eat dog world. It's a cold world and it's not fair, we just have to deal with it. If you don't like it commit crimes.
