Honestly, this was one of the best films of the 10s. It managed to do so much with what appeared to be very little.
Quinturn Tarantino included this in his ten favorite films of the 2010’s. He also listed his 30 favorite films of all times but he doesn’t include any of his films in either list.
Top 80 films of the 2010s
The best action movies of all time
My only regret is I can't watch it again for the first time. It totally blew my mind, or eyes. Visually, it's stunning.
I watch it the first time yesterday, maybe 1/3 while on laptop
Scree you.
Close to flawless movie imo. Only thing I would change is the shot when a steering wheel flies at the screen. Takes me out of it every time, very obvious "o0o0o 3D!!" moment.
I feel the same, except the thing I would change is Max's "how much more can they take from me"-dialogue when the hunt starts. It's very obvious ADR and doesn't fit with Max's semi-feral state at the time.
@hangtime 7190 I find you stupid more than anything.
@hangtime 7190 The fact that you found them changing their minds to be stupid, is stupid. People change their minds all the time when presented with new information or ideas.
hangtime 7190 they Changed their minds because there were No greener pastures
@hangtime 7190 You must not have been paying attention, they found out the greener pastures they thought they were traveling to were gone and Max told them there were no greener pastures to be had if they just tried running away as far as they could. Turning around and dealing with the hand they'd been dealt was was their only option.
The funny part about the guys-on-poles bit is that it wasn't Miller's idea. It was the stunt guys' idea, and apparently Miller was hesitant about it due to safety concerns; but the stunt team wanted to do it anyway.
"Oh, what a day! WHAT A LOVELY DAY!!!"
**spray paints teeth white**
Was tryna think where else I've heard this and it's the moto madness intro 😉
WITNESS ME BLOODBAG!!!!
Hey that was in the movie !!!!!! What are the odds of you saying that in this comment section!?!? You must be some kind of creative genius !!!
I thought it was great to see Hugh Keays-Byrne as Immortan Joe in Fury Road. For those that dont know, he was the "Toecutter" in the original 1979 Mad Max.
Tbh this movie needed more Max. Legend tells that he only had 5 lines in the entire movie.
he doesnt need lines in the movie its about visual story telling plus maxs character dont talk much
this version of max is supposed to be more primal, his lack of dialogue is a testament to his many years of solitude in the wasteland. also, he's the vehicle (no pun intended) for the story. he's not the most important thing in it, but he is the focal character and the only one with a complete arc (EDIT: except for nux i suppose). in fact, he's in almost every scene from start to finish, he's just not the only main character and that's completely fine. tbh, max isn't that interesting on his own, but the world and everything in it is.
@@kloggmonkeyyea, after 3 movies we know max, we know his backstory, we know the way he thinks and how he deals with the world. We don’t need him to explain himself. It’s why he is as you said, the perfect vehicle through which the audience can see the wasteland
I love awesome nonsense action pack movies like Hardcore Henry, Shoot ‘em Up, Guns Akimbo, but this movie was something else. I was captured by this movies action packed sequence, stunned by the world they brought us , and I most of all I enjoy the story that was told.
Witness Niyat!! Witness him!!
Witness!!!!
WITNESSED!!
WITNESSED!!!!

Mediocre
That night time desert scene when max runs off you hear explosions and see the one big explosion and max comes walking back is fucking Legendary
i love that people are still creating video essays about this movie. i love it so much, definitely one of my faves!
3:10, the main inspiration for Mad Max.
True.
who is the little girl?
@@Morganaplays A character from one of the previous Mad Max films. The first one? Thunderdome? I do not know.
@@josephcalabrese6337 i watched that movie as a kid that kid gave me jumpscares lol
One of the best - if not the best - films of the 21st century so far.
Well structured, insightful analysis. Thanks.
I'd like you to cover the Metro Series of games, or novels... Or both lol.
that is a good idea.
Big facts
THIS!!!!!
Agreed
That's a good idea. 👍🏽
I love the artistic design throughout this film. No detail too small, just breathtaking!
This is movie is one of those you can re watch over and over, I just wish it was a little more defined in its connection to the previous 3 but still an A+ film. Great video
Went from exploring a character or a thing from a movie to exploring the whole movie.
I like this upgrade!
The only thing I hate about this movie is how they brought back the interceptor only to be destroyed again
@Xray Paul the destruction of the interceptor allowed max to be all "new look, new life"
Yeah but you see it being repaired in the movie
The Mad Max mythos is so fluid and difficult to nail down, but I'd at least heard it said that the interceptor has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times during his adventures. We may see it again, but i also kinda hope there are no more MM movies. Go out on a high note, so to speak.
@@zacharyberridge7239 There's a Furiosa prequel in the works, iirc, but without Ms Cheron.
April fools idea: talk about team fortress 2 lore like it’s a masterpiece of storytelling
You say that like it isnt
Why do you say that as if it isn't
Ok but it is though
"Uh, noap!"
🤣
What a perfect action film, can’t wait for the sequel.
Still one of my all-time favorite movies. In my all-time top five. I have watched it 30 times atleast.
Thanks for giving even more value to what I consider one of the best cinema masterpieces I've seen.
Good Lord, I’m so glad I was able to see it on the big screen.
Easily one of the most intense, original, and technically groundbreaking films of all time.
What a trip. Last night I had the urge to watch this so I did
Cant wait for your days gone explained
I basically just got through the story and man, what an incredible game.
What about the mad max game
Is this game .not film the video game
I should finish that game...
@@jttekton make the mad max game?
@@jttekton oh you are play mad max game
Whenever I see that scene of Max grunting for the water hose and drinking from it always reminds me of the first couple days of football practice back in high school LoL 😂
This movie [ *definetly* ] deserves a good sequel
Truly decent and enjoyable movie gives off an intensive athmosphere
You can't top perfection but a sequel is always welcome
I heard a spin off is planned, but would focused on furiosa instead of Max. Overall potential disappointment.
@@jordantucker9799 The original plan was to shoot this Furiosa spin off together with MMFR back to back 2012 in Namibia. I don't think that any sequel can beat or even match Fury Road. But I try to see it positive: everything what follows is just a bonus for me.
One of my favorite movies of all time. Thank you for making this video!!!
Got nominated for best picture. Should have won that year. Man this movie on my first watch... My heart was racing after the credits rolled.
Max has always been every bit an observer as the audience in the post-apocalyptic world.
When the gangs take on the highway...remember he's on your side.
Hey Niyat,
I was wondering if you’re going to be attending any upcoming comic cons in the United States?
Many of your fans would like to meet you in person.
Once this crisis we're living through is over
Lol sounds like a doctor asking if you’ve got a high risk lifestyle. Do you engage in unprotected sex, intravenous drug use, or traveling to the US for a comic con during covid?
Highly recommend playing the Mad Max video game from 2015. Amazing graphics if you set it to max, and even better story.
Fun fact: George Miller was a doctor before he started making these movies. A real asset to have in a stunt filled movie.
This is easily honestly one of my top 5 movies of all time. Exceeded Road Warrior
Can you cover parallax, grail, darkseid and the three jokers from dc comics?
You always leave me wanting more at the end of your videos, I can't take it 😊
One of if not my favourite movie of all time. Love the world of Mad Max and this one is my favourite so far.
Truly an apocalyptic dream.
Mad Max left me gasping for air in our IMAX! It was so, so intense. I loved it.
Brilliant video as always👌🏼
Thanks a lot.

One of the few channels I always leave a like before even watching the video because I know it’s gonna be good
The film itself is so captivating & beautiful.
Smashing work as always nyat
Your my favorite UA-camr
The 2015 Mad Max videogame is also just as good, you even get a few spoilers for future Mad Max movies lol.
The movie left me gobsmacked. I would never have thought it possible
Amazing as always man, your voice is soothing and relaxing, great narration. Also when cyberpunk 2077 comes out, you gonna do some videos on them, that is when you’re done playing the whole game?
Some circus types threw a few showings of Fury Road in a drive-in type situation here in Calgary! As the opening sequence started, Warboys came running down between cars and banging on hoods! There were some fire performers and other costumed characters! Quite the thing to see!
And of course, a few cars and bikes done up in the Mad Max style!
I have 2 words about this movie
1: absolutely
2: amazing ❤️
I hope this man continues to add to this series.
Mad Max: Fury Road is a great movie. There have been reboots that worked and reboots that didn't work. Mad Max: Fury Road was one of those reboots that worked. A good comeback for the Mad Max film franchise after 30 years. Quiet possibly, not just the greatest action film ever made, but the best Mad Max movie since Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior. Tom Hardy was right actor to take over the role of Max from Mel Gibson. George Miller took the film in a darker direction and I really liked what he did with the story and with the new incarnation of Max. The film had spectacular non-stop action from stop to finish. The costumes, the vehicles and the stunt work and special effects were all taken to a new level. One of the best and better reboots we've had for the past decade. The Road Warrior is reborn and back for a new generation.
Mad Max and Bladerunner are two of the cultiest cult movies ever made, which are so hard to make a good sequel for, but both sequels absolutely nailed it.
come to think. they just went out then came back to the citadel. :)
its like a 2pm beer run where you all started drinking since 4am.
Absolutely enjoyed this movie
OH WHAT A DAY!!!
HELL YES! The video we didnt ask for but we desperately needed!
By far my favorite Mad Max movie!!!! Not saying theirs anything wrong with the other three mad max movies, just saying this one was absolutely elite!!!
One of my all time favorite. Amazing story and the cars. Ugh love this movie
Such an amazing film! One of my all time favourite films
Also, the score KILLS
One of my top five favorite films of all tine. And I’m not even an action movie fan. But this movie was just perfect from beginning to end.
I need to rewatch this film.
Playing the game right now. It would be cool if you could go to the Citadel or Barter Town in game. The only location you can go to is Gastown. I think both game and movie are awesome but I know the game has little to do with the movie.
Cause it never was a Game for the Movie it stands mostly on its own.
i love watching the chrome addition its all black and white 🤘🤖🤘
I've seen some theories that Mad Max in this movie isn't really Max, but is the long-haired wild kid with the metal boomerang from the Road Warrior. Can't say if its true or not, but its interesting the logic behind it, such as the boy not talking & just grunted and Max here not talking much either and also just grunts. Max in the very beginning had long wavy hair just like the boy, and had the music box that Max gave the boy. Again, not sure if its legit, but its interesting with the coincidences.
Shawn M Only heard mention of this theory. Good call. It’s not too far from the realm of reason at all.
Boomerang = Bolt cutters? 🤔
Oh what a day! WHAT A LOVELY DAY!
Fallen is one id like to see your take on. It was released 1998 and has to be one of my favorites. No CGI just acting
This is one of my favorite movies of all time
I love this movie so much😭😭
WHAT A LOVELY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this movie.
Been waiting for your analysis of this movie and now it’s here.

Yes a Mad max video! Keep up the good work niyat 👍🏻
This movie is so good.

I got to say this has the been the best movie I saw in theaters
It took me two days to process this movie. But I really liked and have seen it a few times.
Can you do a exploration video of the dead rising games please?
Wow!! I've gotta check out this movie one day!
Probably my favorite franchise ever
Shrek explained will be the most succesful video of the channel
Right off the bat, a brawl.

They really gave off Borderlands Psycho vibes. I loved it.
Thanks very intelligent commentary
I love all your videos I was wondering if you can do an explanation for the movie Maggie
You could say that just like Heath Ledgers Joker that Immortan Joe, Furiosa, and Max are after the same goal : the safety of his wives. And i think that makes him a great antagonist.
A damn good movie, been waiting for the next mad max for so much.
Dare ya to explain The Room lol.
NIYAT WITNESS ME!!!!!!!
What a day! What lovely day!
Warboys spray nitro into their "engine" - mouth when they're about to die. It looks metalic but should be frozen-like. Hard to portray in a movie when you have to 'shout witness me' as well :D
this is one of my favorite films!
This is the world we are heading into. Tribal scavengers.
Hey, Niyat can you take a look at the film 9. Its a post- apocalyptic movie with rage dolls called stitchpunks trying to survive a world dominated by machines, the plots kinda weak but still interesting to watch.
"The genre" "the genre" what genre?
Great vid mate 👍 👍
You Aussies have such an awesome director, George Miller.
Great video, but I disagree that it was the one that changed everything. The original Mad Max film changed everything. That's what made it great and all the sequels. The 80's was full of clones
ip offs movies because Hollywood couldn't understand why a film that cost around 400 thousand dollars made close to 100 million. Keep up the great work.
Still the best action film I've ever seen.
