In what world being a BMW is a bad thing? Sure they are not known for reliability but if there's anything they're good at is making great performance cars...
I've had mine for about 4 years now and I've loved every second of it. Sounds great with just a catless downpipe & even better with an exhaust. I highly recommend getting one, but you gotta get a big wing 😤👌
No lie im cool with the new supra because the b48 and the b58 are actually reliable engines and the bmw aftermarket is nuts. Like if i could id get the 4 cylinder supra or if i need the convertable one id get the z4 and wait.....i can buy regamasters from martini works? o.O BET!!!
Last time I checked BMW was one of the best cars on the road . The fact that people try to use that against the Supra is mind boggling. I’ve had my A90 MK5 for 16 months and I love it . I came from a 2020 STi which I loved as well .
So, I'm an OG and prevoiusly owned a '14 GT-R way back when. Sold it in mid '17 and have been waiting for the Supra and it's iconic lines. I've waited this long and hopefully, as per the car journals I've read, Toyota will deliver on the GRMN Supra in the next year or so. If what they say is true, the GRMN stock motor will be pushing 473hp of which I would be extremely happy with. As he stated in this video I would simply do the minor bolt on's etc. to get to 500+ hp. and then of course rims and other mild aesthetics. I'm excited to see this beast come to fruition. Until then, that Golf R Mk.8.5 is already on my list as my daily. Life is certianly great.
I bought my 23 MT , 7 months ago. I’ve already had the ECU flown to Finland and back for months now, there are company’s that hand deliver . If you do a single exit, consider a hi-flow cat. Single exit can be deafening catless dp. Flex fuel kits available integrated with your OTS maps on your phone. Lowering springs are the way to go with stock suspension, makes lowering cheap. It’s just easy to go down the rabbit hole, I suggest keeping every air bag in the car (vertex steering wheel regret with light). E85 can be stored, and an E50 tune and DP, just make this a different car. MT needs a clutch upgrade after this threshold

@@touayaaj84 yo I’m new to this all and I just got a Supra, what will doing what he said do to the turbo? Will it make it sound different or flutter or some shit
Hey bro, what’s going on calling out San Diego California thinking about leaving Dodge and me and getting me a supra should I get a 21 or 22 to be able to easily have someone tune without having to on lock and get all crazy and how reliable are these engines are pretty
By far the biggest con of this car is that there is no dipstick. It’s a digital one through the infotainment, and mine stopped working and now I need a new oil pump. Other than that, love it and would recommend to anyone.
See I’m just on the fence of body kits, there’s HKS, Robitcrafstman’s narrow body, and street hunters… then there’s the Liberty walk… which I feel like at the end of the day is the most JDM of them all for the Toyota name… but so many options 😭 and all so expensive
I feel attacked....i just got a 22 gr CF edition and everyone at work asks what im gunna do and my exact words......"downpipe and a tune will bring this thing to 500" 😭
It's funny how we can look back and say, without a doubt, that it is great that BMWs B58 was used. Look at Toyota's recalls over the last few years... yikes.
One manufacturer is known for its Motorsport prestige, from F1 to LeMans to Touring Cars and Production car racing to The Isle Of Man TT, creating the most powerful F1 engine ever, and powering one of the most Legendary Vehicles in LeMans and automotive history which is also the fastest N/A vehicle ever made, dominant on all fronts of Motorsport, the other is known for outspending everyone on thr F1 grid and still not able to get a win and in the process wasting $4 billion, a disastrous reliability record at LeMans and cheating to win in the WRC, can you guess which is which..Bayern Munich Vs Kashima Antlers 😂😂😂
Man if Toyota create their own engine car expensive they get roast when they collaborate with by far most well known sport platform they get roast chill out people have fun and Toyota is smart they not dumb they choose the b58 platform for a reason owning one and you will know why downpipe, ots map and some E easily 100hp love my suora
The Car stayed close to the Concept... Z4 platform... I've always liked them anyway.... But I do.. call them... Lump's... Or would call mine if I had one..
I agree . The car is perfect bone stock . The only thing I’ve changed is the steering wheel . I went with an alcantara wheel and I love it . I also added a carbon duckbill.
@@jafethgarcia4819 it’s an eBay carbon duckbill , fitment is perfect. The weave is on point also. I’ve heard stories that the Rexspeed duckbill has fitment issues but the eBay duckbill fit perfect. It was $250
It just my opinion, but I think Toyota could made the Supra without help from BMW, Toyota could use the Chassis from the Lexus RCF or the LC500, and if you forgot MK4 Supra was intended to be a grand tourer. MK4 Supra is one of the heaviest JDM cars from the 90's, so using LC500 chassis is possible. The engine however, well, Toyota could use the V8 from Lexus, but I don't think those are tuner friendly (correct me if I'm wrong). If that what's the route Toyota take to made the MK5 supra, it just ended up to be a rebadge budget version of LC500 or RCF. As much as I hate to say this Toyota COULD made the new Supra themself, but partnering with BMW is a smart move
They definitely could have but it probably would have been a $100k+ MSRP car instead due to the R&D and engineering required to develop a new sports car. Using the Z4 was a smart move to help keep the cost down which in turn gets us the buyers a more attainable and stomachable $60k. Which is still a lot of money, but better than $100k+
@@jmanlevan Yeah I agree Toyota made a better decision by partnering with BMW, and I can understand developing a whole new platform is expensive and can make the MSRP rediculous, but Toyota already had a 2-door Coupe (Lexus LC500/RCF), Couldn't they just rebadge it as Toyota?
They owed it to the WORLD and their customer/fan base to do the Supra justice and build it from the ground up like the original legendary car. This german pos was a sleezy, lazy, disgusting cash grab that blew up in their face. Anyone who buys one is a poser loser, or just ignorant about cars. Bmw's (like MB's) are unreliable, high maintenance, expensive pos that don't last.
A study in contrast to how 2 car companies wanted to come to market with something all-new but affordable. For the new Z, Nissan cheaped out and went with basement bin parts from the 370z. With all the hope and hype for a new Z, the car seems a bit underwhelming compared to what Toyota and BMW came up with.
You modify this german pos disgrace by taking it to the scrap yard and begging forgiveness for ever even considering buying this insult to the car gods.
