FEMTO on Bm3 (OTS 93 and E30 maps), BN catless DP, XHP trans tune, and OEM intake resonator delete. That’s it. Never dyno’d. have hit 161 (on foreign soil). I switch between it and my 1990 Integra (will look into MartiniWorks for ideas). Both put a smile on my face. Nearly 3 yrs into MkV ownership, I am now wanting a bit more oomph. Would love to hit hit/pass that 500 whp mark on stock turbo so will look into: plugs, tune, intercooler, intake/exhaust, E85🤷🏻♂️

100% agree with what you said about the current supra. If Toyota made it all on their own it would have been a mess, probably hybrid. I'm happy it's as pure of a sports car as it is. The only thing it needs is more steering feel and it would be perfect, especially at it's price point.
Great video but you need to make a video talking about the parts you sell for like intake and exhaust showing the parts and the cost for the parts and what you feel is good, better, and best. Have a shots in order and will need parts. Intake, exhaust, catch can, wing. Tune and wheels later

The Miata is the most overrated car in history. I took one for a test drive and even with the top down it was a complete snoozefest. Left the dealership cashed up as my ancient Type-R daily driver left it for dead in every way.

The white one with the work wheels, any way you can help me figure out his rear spoiler please? It almost looks like it’s two pieces. The little lip that everyone puts on and then a flatter piece on top. What is it? Thank you and cool video.
Gotta appreciate Toyota for putting 3 enthusiasts cars into production especially in a market full of SUVs and EVs. And for those complaining that the MK5 has a BMW engine, you still gotta applaud Toyota for staying true to a solid inline 6 ICE sport car instead of a EV sports car or worse, turning it into an SUV like Mitsubishi did with the Eclipse or Ford with the Mustang Mach E.
I own a manual MKV Supra. I bought it because it was mostly BMW and not Toyota. I hate Toyota and dealing with their dealerships and service. But the B58 is incredibly reliable and powerful and its a pleasure to have in this chassis.
This car is going to age like fine wine. For sure. No other car does what this car does. Simple tune + dp and you're making 500hp from a car that weighs 3300lbs. That's absurd. A simple turbo upgrade and you're at 700-800hp. Legend.
Love the way this car looks, it's still kinda expensive in the UK though. Been looking at Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce recently, can you make a video on that?
It’s better than everything else out there in that price range. Unfortunately they’re being heavily modified in a bad way. It’ll definitely be hard to find clean ones in the future, making it a future classic.
I was one of those people who didn't like it at first, then i did a test drive and yeah went and bought a 24' MT. I don't regret it at all! People need to just stop riding the 2jz its an amazing engine ( yes i have a 2jz engine) But toyota isn't going to spend money on devolping an engine, for a car that no ones going to buy because it would be priced at 85k-100k.
Nothing lasts forever. What a silly argument. But if you must know, the Z4 production line is closing and therefore the Supra line must close with it. Good for owners!
Honestly mk5 is the most true to form 90s jdm sports car out all of the current crop of sports car front engine rear wheel drive inline 6 turbo with 6spd manual option.
Have done some research and wanna confirm. What year would i need to look for to be able to fully tune the car. I don’t want a tunable option for now, looking for something that i can get fully tuned without hesitation or work around. I also assume that newer years will come out eventually, but if I am looking for something that i can go big single turbo with and not have restrictions because of the tune capability what year should i be looking at?
All 2020 are tunable from factory and some 2021 with ecu date before june 2020 I believe. Then everything after that you have to ship your ecu to a company called femto in Finland to have it unlock so you can tune
@@ashGR3.0 Preciate it. Have been looking for some time, going to tune for sure just want to make sure I get the right year so I am not disappointed with the tuning process!

How about doing a video on a C7 Corvette Grand Sport...another future classic. The LAST front engine, rwd, manual. Like u said, I was deciding between the C7 and MK5 and I just bought the C7 5 days ago lol. Help a brother out 😅.
It’s still a Z4. Just my opinion..the engine is the heart and soul of the car. Think LS swap, 1JZ swap, Hellcat swap. If Toyota wants to win my heart saying they re-made a Supra, build the engine. This is not a knock on the B58; that is a great engine.

@@TheWoebegoneJackal yeah everybody who’s driven it said they absolutely love it. Only people that are complaining never driven a 2JZ car or a MK4 and are letting the internet form their opinion.
I guess i'm one of the few that don't really like it... I bought my 21 about a month ago and while it puts up good numbers and is plenty quick it has the typical BMW drawbacks. The electronic steering is DEAD and gives MINIMAL feedback on the road so you have to be on your a game when you drive fast in corners. It doesn't feel ANYTHING like my crappy 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP. I understand that this is what all modern cars are like but when i get into the GXP i FEEL the motor pull, i FEEL the steering and i FEEL the bumps in the road! The GXP is not HALF the car the Supra is but somehow it NAILS the "sports car" feel to me and is everything i was looking for in the Supra.... Everything it lacks.
At the end of the day it's still a good car, it's just more of a computer on wheels that happens to do everything well except making you feel like you are DRIVING it and not just pressing buttons and going fast while the outside world turns into a blur...
My 2¢
@@GOLD_FEVER Ngl I kinda had that gripe when I traded my Sti for my 340. The electronic power steering annoyed me a ton and dampened the road feel way too much. I can understand it being super annoying but it wasn’t really a dealbreaker as I eventually got used to it (plus no fluids haha). I feel switching to sport and having the wheel tighten up works good enough for me (which can be edited to do the same in comfort). Overall though after people track tested it they say the handling is actually amazing which I agree so to each their own, Lots of cars are moving to it sadly. I do also have my 240sx to switch to if I end up missing it. Your Complaint is justifiable
@@CrimsonRequiem1 Yeah i understand if you don't have a frame of reference then it may seem like it ain't that bad, but when you have an older car that is actually fun to drive and checks all the boxes for arguably less cash.... It just starts to sound strange that they couldn't recreate the basics in such a "technologically advanced" modern sportscar... And yeah it's not something you can't get used to and learn to live with and eventually forget about - but i guess i had some expectations going in... I guess you shouldn't ever meet your heroes!
@@GOLD_FEVER You just described every new car.... that feeling you looking is pretty much gone, I recommend you get a 90s car that you like such as an NSX if you want that feeling cause even the MK4 feels like trash.
This car gets too much unwarranted hate, It does what It says on the box what more do you want?.
downpipe and Tune and you're touching about 500hp without touching the turbo lol idk what people are complaining about.
A Toyota, not a BMW
@ You would’ve either A: never gotten a car at all or B: a car people couldn’t afford. people were already complaining about its price tag so you do the math.
@@NoNoseFlappy69 Ragebait.
@AJayDrives It's a fact, if you rage at facts then you need to pound sand.
Every car has wind buffer, sedans have it worse depending on which windows you have down. I think there was so little to complain about the Supra that the community started to pick on that just so they had something to pick on. Luckily $9 makes the wind buffer disappear.
I was one of those ppl who threw around the “it’s just a BMW” when it first came out, now I’m glad to say I’ve done my research and looked at it objectively and from what I’ve found the B58 is a phenomenal platform thru and thru for this chassis
Having this video play while driving as if I was listening to a podcast. Great stuff Alex. Been watching you guys since your fitment x days. Glad to see that your channel is growing and your brand is expanding.🙏🏼🙌🏼. I would love a supra but living in Cali with inflation is crazy. I’ll be happy with 340/440i though🥲
YOOOO Shout out to Shokan getting all that crispy footage in lets go! excellent video
hey alex idk if you remember but i met you at pri in indy, and we had a great talk about the mk5 supra and how i had just purchased one! thank you for a great conversation and great video!
That Supra is really growing on me.
It grew on me and I test drove one and left with it. No regrets.
@@twistieslayer3592 after driving multiple B58 cars I knew the Supra would be something serious.
Coming from a GTR owner, test drove 2024 manual one at the dealership and bought 1 hour later and went home, 5k under MSRP too
Manual version will 100% be a future classic.
I recently purchased someone elses project supra from a dealership, the day after I bought it and took it to work, I got fired so this is a good start to my new passion project XD
its a wonderful car and the bmw jokes makes it feel even better knowing this is what a simple Collab between a German and a Japanese brand I'm excited to see more cars like this appear!
Have almost 9k miles on my 2021 and its a dream. I put a hi flow catted down pipe and it really enhanced the sound of the exhaust significantly. I really enjoy the power and removed my JB4 piggyback because honestly it's not even needed. I put Toyo R888r radials on all four wheels and its a very fun experience when I take it out. Thank goodness I live in California where it doesn't rain often.
The Mk5 is one of my favorite cars on the market because two of my dream cars as a kid were the Mk4 Supra and the E46 M3, so it’s like the best of both worlds for me. I’m just saving up money and waiting for the manuals to depreciate a little bit more and I’ll get one for myself
Small nitpick, at 2:57 you say it competes with a Datsun 280zx but you show an S30 chassis. As a 240z and 280z owner it stuck out like a sore thumb. Nonetheless still love your content, thanks!
Love the shout out to the mk3 supras ❤
Love my 2023 manual Supra , it’s amazing daily and a little mountain blast.
I have APEX 19x11/19x9.5 with the 305/30 & 275/30 setup, and it's perfect. I'll also argue that the single exit exhaust is the only way to get the more iconic I6 sound we all love. I like this car so much I've owned two (21 3.0P & 23 A91-MT) and am waiting for the 2026 MT as my final never-sell toy.
I'm still watering down my BRZ tS so one day she will grow in a 5th gen Supra

2j swap it and you'll be happier in the long run.

Great video as always. I bought my 22 3.0 premium at msrp (back when that was still under 60k) and it’s just so good. As much as I do love the mark 3 and 4, I bought it because it’s the best bmw on sale for the money today 😂
Most people that has said nice BMW to me can’t afford one. Also, most people who said nice BMW refused to race me. 😂 🤷♂️
68k miles later, zero issues. Bought the car brand new back in 2021.
facts! I've only had mine since Sept 2023.. but zero issues, and my favorite car I've owned so far.. all the haters I've run into, all drive clapped out $#!+ boxes too scared to run 😂

After never initially warming up to the styling (fake vents) I later had an epiphany: 🤔 anything German-Japanese must be an engineering marvel. Days after getting my ‘22 Silver MkV I tastefully tinted it and bought AMS carbon fiber wind deflectors. Weeks later, I bought 13mm spacers. I drove it as OEM for 18 months before modding.

Most vents are functional except the rear door one .
Great video, well done!
Most reliable new engine in Toyota line up is a BMW! Best decision they ever made.
Toyota Supra is one of my go to sports car until I saw hate videos about it, I didn't like it anymore just to not be frowned upon, seeing multiple videos like these made me understand better. multiple videos show love to the MK5 Supra and I am back to liking the Supra without feeling guilt.
By any chance can you talk about the Honda crz...recently got one but there barely is any content based off it. Did quite a bit of research on it though but my couple of hours of research can probably be summed up in like 20 min which I'm sure you know quite well. But I love your videos, been watching them for years and I'll be watching them for years to come. Hope you are enjoying the holidays and I hope that 2025 has a lot of good in store for you and you achieve all your goals.
What got me out of buying one was the claustrophobic interior. The limited visibility was just something I couldn't get over.
Also I KNOW I was subscribed before but today I see youtube unsubed me. Alex needs me!
10:55 you missed out the important part. The collaboration was called the "Silk road initiative" and in return for the Supra, BMW received the hydrogen power train from Toyota

I agree. That’s another reason I want one so badly. I know that shit will be a classic someday. And if I could get one and maintain it so meticulously. I’d be happy with that.
Bro huh?? 🤯 been wondering where you guys went love to see that you stooges ventured off into your own journey 🙏🫶
I’d love an episode about the Kia stinger & just how strange and neat of a car it is for what it is.
@martiniworks had an a90 Supra, great premium GT car, sold it, got a ND2 Miata 200BHP with a tune 1065kg, never looked back. You need to do a video on the ND Miata, fun factor and driver involvement can't be compared
The Miata is the most overrated car in history. I took one for a test drive and even with the top down it was a complete snoozefest. Left the dealership cashed up as my ancient Type-R daily driver left it for dead in every way.
HKS Intake, Tomei dual catback, active autowerke catted downpipe best sound and performance combo you can get.
I absolutely love my supra and plan to keep it as long as possible and probably going to keep it stock.
love my MKV Supra! Never had any problems with mine and I'm rocking 30k miles on it
I bought a brand new supra back in 2020 and still have it! keep it mind that I used to change my car every two years!
Funny Enough, Growing up my first dream car was the Toyota Concept Car FT-1. It was never mass produced, so I never got to. Then I started liking the supra and funnily enough i got both of my dream cars in one, more like 3 because I like BMW's too. XD
47,000 miles on my 22 and NEVER went back to the dealership.
Damn car is solid, zero complaints and already over the -HOW YOU LIKE UR BEEMA?
Is usually a guy at the gas pump driving a JUKE NISMO😂
You nailed it. Was looking at a C8 and decided not to join the old man’s club. Coming from a 350Z this was the perfect next step. Glad I waited for the manual.
I just bought one 2 months ago, all ECUs before june 20th I believe are unlocked or can be bench unlocked (if they did a certain recall)
It’s better than everything else out there in that price range. Unfortunately they’re being heavily modified in a bad way. It’ll definitely be hard to find clean ones in the future, making it a future classic.
Ayy i made the video 😂😎
Alex! Can you do a Kei car bit for those of us who live overseas??? :D I got an HA36S Alto Works, and I'm tryin to get some meats under it.
How can the Mk5 supre be "one of the best on the market" when it is discontinued?
Nothing lasts forever. What a silly argument. But if you must know, the Z4 production line is closing and therefore the Supra line must close with it. Good for owners!
Honestly mk5 is the most true to form 90s jdm sports car out all of the current crop of sports car front engine rear wheel drive inline 6 turbo with 6spd manual option.
Sell the borla atak exhaust. It sounds amazing!
