I can still remember my friends giving me hell when I got Heart Gold instead of Soul Silver back in 2010, once I got to Ho-oh and heard this I had no regrets with my choice
The ones I consider really "Legendary" are Mewtwo (since it's a single creature instead of an species), Ho-oh, The ancient trio of hoenn. Anything else in the future is metaphysical embodiment of some concept because they ran out of ideas
Those instruments truly capture the flavor of Johto A land steeped in tradition and memories of a fonder time.. HGSS giving Ho-Oh a theme this badass is the reason I believe those two are still the best remakes the series will ever be graced with
its.. ceremonial. you can hear the people watching you beating on drums to the battle. it makes ho ohs presence as a legendary feel equal to that of the creation trio

True, but so does dialga and palkia for obvious reasons, definitely agree though, should be more legendaries with real substance to the story instead of just being BEEG STRONK LEGENDARY only you and like 5 other people know about in the story, Koraidon and Mitaidon are cool don get me wrong but they don’t feel like ‘“legendaries’ until the end of the story, and even in older gens legendaries aren’t really KNOWN by anyone aside from people like champions and the player until some event occurs and they show up

SwSh’s legendaries honestly feel more like mythicals, and the 3rd “legendary” is literally just a space-virus-dragon-kaiju. @@jwilson2793 yeah definetely, I like koraidon and miraidon a lot, their just some fun lizard bike friends but they definetely arent legendary to me at all, i feel like maybe it wouldve been better if the identity of koraidon and miraidon werent revealed until the end of the story or something? would be difficult to encorporate all of that and even that way it doesnt feel legendary, maybe there should be some oher category for just strong pokemon there are only few of with supernatural or unknown origins, dont know what it would be though
So many younger generations of pokemon fans will never know what a beauty they released before they were born, i was talking to my brother in law hes 10 and into pokemon he said brilliant dimond was a good new game and its a remaster of an older game i brought up HG & SS, all he said was "what was that" all i could say was, he doesnt know a masterpiece he missed on 😭
Ho-oh will always have the best theme of any legendary. So divine, so above the plane of the living. Just like he was to so many of us seeing him in the first episode of the animé, He is truly a god amongst men.

You did this theme justice, very nice remaster that didn't detract from the original. The shamisen & Bass combo is very jumbled, and makes it very fun to listen to. Ho-Oh feels super majestive & festive and I can see totally the Kimono Girls dancing a performance to it!
You enter the wormhole expecting an encouter with a rare pokemon, but you realize you ended in a mountain you never heard of, you check the suroundings and notice a figure, a Charmander, you try catching it but he reflects the pokéball like he dosen't care, then he aproaches you, revealing that he's wearing a Black & red cap, carrying a bag and holding a greatball, "is he's a trainer?!" And when you're thinking this can't get any weirder he smiles and says: "FINALY! Someone that dosen't seem to want me dead! Uhh... Hey, You're not from this world are you? You seem to be a pokémon trainer. Well, It's been quite a while since i fought a trainer or even saw a human, (sigh...) i miss my friends, pokémon Square, and the human world, but i can't Go back now, not until i find ninetales and prove my innocence... but, i supose i have time to relive my human days with a little pokemon battle before old Man Alakazam finds and arrests me. (Heh, he's probably just hearing "Charmander" or some growl coming out of my mouth) But Enough talk, i met a trainer after so long, and im so happy that i can even feel human again! let's battle! rescue team leader ??? wants to battle! ??? sent out Ho-Oh!
