Kanto gym leaders use more johto pokemon than johto leaders, pretty ilogic to think that red doesnt know about johto pokemons after 3 years since red/blue events
Man I remember playing HG/SS back in the day and being blown away that you actually got to fight another main character from another Pokemon game... and being more blown away by how strong his team was.
I know how strong his team is. Red's Pokemon are around Level 85, and I managed to defeat them with my team of Pokemon, which were 20 levels lower. I did have to use a lot of healing items though. By the way, Red's battle theme is similar to the battle theme for Lance.
@@giratina8885 Red and Lance actually use the same theme in both GSC and HGSS. Zame just remixed the songs and separated them by adding different tones to each of them, which I'm sure Gamefreak was going to do for HGSS but ended up using the same theme due to software limitations.
I love how authentic this is to the Heart Gold version That might just be my fav version and this version perfectly captures the feeling of fighting Red
I remember me, 8 years ago, climbing at the top of the Mt.Silver, seeing a guy in red at the top. I healed my pokemons. I saved. Twenty-five times. And then, I took my courage in both hands, and talked to him. I didn't know who he was. All I knew was that with my level sixty team, I was going to have a tough time. But I didn't take myself apart, and full restore after full restore, revive after revive, I beat his pokémons. At the last one, all I had left was my Typhlosion, my starter, the fire hedgehog with which I started this adventure. I had no more revives. Flamethrower. I won. Then, the guy in red disappeared, the end credits started, I didn't understand what had just happened, but from the top of my 8 years, I was proud of what I had just done.

Red never spoke a word during the fight which means his pokemon fought on their own and still put up an insanely tough fight . No one can imagine what will happen red spoke.
If we got to face Red again in a future Pokemon game, he should become the strongest Pokemon Trainer of all time by calling him a Pokemon Master and has a team with Level 100+ Pokemon that can cover all weaknesses and amazing AI that makes you think he’s hacking. A man can dream.

The games hyping Red up and basically saying he's better than everyone is why I do not like him much. So sick of him. It's the same reason I'm not a fan of Leon. Everybody was so insistent about telling me how he's never lost a battle, he's the unbeatable champion, etc etc. I probably would've liked him if not for that. So many remasters/remixes leave out the harp sound at the beginning, but you made sure it was there! Plus everything else sounds like just a higher quality version of the original. Well done!
Tbh if your team is around level 76 it's more than enough to beat Red. If I (and I'm not exactly great at Pokémon. Think I'm getting better, but not great) can beat him with a team that's level 65-68 (though with a few full restores and a revive or two), you can do it without! ;)

Not sure what the popular opinion is, but this has pretty much always been my favorite Champion Battle track. It sounds so intense with this combination of what seems like electric guitar, horns, and violin, along with a little chiptune sprinkled in there. It truly sounds like you’re having the Pokémon Battle of your life. 10/10
Amazing remaster... So nostalgic. What I would give for the chance to go back, holding my Gameboy Color in my hands at the age of 12. No knowledge of the fight coming up, and to experience the chill that ran down my spine that day when I saw Red standing there. I thought to myself "No... Theres no way..." walking up and seeing Red turn around and face me, and the battle that ensued that felt like I was fighting it out with a mirror image of myself. A chill I've never since felt again to that scale.
@@justinarney3050 depends on the team, and bag items are cheesing. Status moves don’t help as much of everything he has outspeeds everything you had. My team was Quilava, Polywrath, Mismagius, Beedrill, Furret, and Clefable, and I had to resort to giving Clefable all the rare candies to only be a little underleveled and cheese with items for a minimize setup.
When Red lost to Ethan he realized that there’s more out there and that he should got it and explore instead of sitting on an Ice Mountain all day. He’s never seen Pokémon from the Johto region which is why Ethan had an advantage against Red.

Red isn't over leveled Its just expected of you at this point to have mastered the game and know how to beat him without grinding.
Good luck beating him with a 15 level disadvantage if you aren't using the strongest 'mons in the game or outright cheesing.
