I would love to point out the parallels between Episode 1 and Episode 4 intros: - In both, we have a consular ship docking on an enemy craft (star destroyer / droid control ship). - Both consular ships were carrying diplomats (Leia / Qui-Gon + Obi-Wan) - Both consular ships get damaged (and in Episode 1, it gets completely destroyed) - Crew from both consular ships are killed - Key members from both consular ships battle against the enemy troops (rebels vs. stormtroopers / Jedi vs. droids) - You can see a silver C-3PO in both films - The main villain of each respective film is displayed on-screen, giving orders and directions to their subordinates - Key members from both consular ships manage to escape the enemy craft and land on the orbited planet (R2 and 3PO landing on Tatooine / Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan landing on Naboo) - Tatooine is the homeworld to Anakin Skywalker, meanwhile Naboo is the homeworld to Padme Amidala "It's like poetry. It rhymes." I just goddamn love Star Wars. Don't you?
At least up to the part where the ship lands, the docking scene reminds me far more of Vader's shuttle landing on the second Death Star at the beginning of Episode 6. I think some of the camera shots are similar too.
And they still managed to have the characters represent different roles. Qui gon as old Ben, young obi wan as Han, padme as Leia, anakin as Luke, r2 keeps the role, jar jar kinda as Chewbacca, Gunray as Tarkin, dofine as Motti, maul as Vader (although it might appear Sidious as Vader in the beginning), yet they make some parts parallel to others in different scenes so that the plot is similar but not a carbon copy. George Lucas and the writers were geniuses
Not trying to insult anybody here but this is the worst Star Wars movie ever made and I would rather watch the original trilogy and the sequels over this.
If it had a bunch of sex scenes thrown in randomly people would all of a sudden love Phantom Menace for things like it's convoluted political backdrop.

My Childhood
Cool scene
Qui Gon Jin, is the 'grandfather' of Anakin Skywalker
Technically father as Obi Wan refers to Anakin as "brother" many times, Qui-Gon was the father of these two young men
His real father is not on screen but very present.
Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, anyone???
“Are you brain dead?!”

Agreed. I know it’s unpopular to hate the prequels these days, but this movie will always suck.
How sad. That’s like saying you only enjoy the Bible for the New Testament.
@@Revco7 Who the fuck asked you to speak? Get out
