What a time, you smashed it!! Kicking down barriers race after race, I know it was a touch slower than last week but running low 32s consistently is a sign of some seriously good fitness mate!

Very impressive. You need to think much bigger than a sub 2.40 marathon, Ive a 2.42 and my 10k pb is 36 mins.... I couldn't hold a go pro anyway 😂
The ultimate goal is 2:25 eventually but want to enjoy the first one so putting less pressure on time and more on making sure I enjoy the process
@@BenIsRunning I would just back you up in that approach! I had a great training block for 2:50, all the calculators told me I was ready to run even faster based off a HM performance the month before, I slammed into the wall at 30k and finished in 3:03.
Part of that was some last minute injuries, but I think a big part was also just that it takes a long time to build the aerobic capacity at that distance. All the race-specific workouts and long runs I could fit into 16 weeks still weren’t the same as actually running 42k at goal pace. No harm in playing conservative and yes, enjoying the process! You can always drop a 32m final 10k if you’re really feeling fresh. 😂 See you in Copenhagen, brother!

Hey Ben mateeee, been watching you for a few months now, I’m currently training for my first marathon in April (Brighton marathon) I’ve gone from not being able to run 1k to 15 miles so far. BUTTTT, I wanted to ask you what tips you’ve got for someone wanting to improve their 5k and 10k times, not sure if you’ve got a video already on this!

Would love to be hitting this time but for 3rd-5th bite at the cherry! My first marathon will be more about hopefully enjoying the process in training and execution a good race on the day. 2:40 is the aim :)
