Dude! Thank you for this video and thank you so much for the care package! Made my DJI FPV useable again, been putting it to use a little and loving this setup just for the failsafe options with GPS and the longer flight times than my other custom quads. Anyway, keep up the awesome content!
Great video as usual Ken and thanks for the shout out! When I did mine I didn't add the BEC, haven't had problems yet (knock on wood). I did install an XT30 connector in-line though so I could remove the cable when I didn't have the Bones connected, basically the same place your BEC is installed. Thanks for everything you do for the FPV community, keep up the good work buddy!
Atta boy kester solder wire is the way to go. No flux needed. It dramatically changed my soldering skills. This is a pretty sweet idea. Where can I order your battery condoms and GoPro mounts? Its definitely easier to fix the DJI drone now that there is parts.

GreatVideo !!! Instead of soldering directly to the drone's board, wouldn't be cleaner to use some sort of XT30 extension cable between the batery and the drone? and wiretap the extension cable?
Excellent video tutorial, Ken! Your camera helmet is a perfect addition to your lineup of accessories. One question, with the BEC sitting over the vent, have you seen an increase in operation temps? Thank you, Sir!
I'm assuming this voids any warranty. Would have enjoyed you describing how it changes flight characteristics. You're essentially installing a wind sail on top of the drone I'd assume that has a decent impact on performance.
This has been done numerous times, already talked about this on other videos running the Hero 8 and 9… this is leaps better. If you think this is a wind sail let me be the first to tell you FPV isn’t for you period.
Excellent tutorial! Does the bones 10 edition still render the GPS lock unavailable like the regular Hero 10 when you hit the record button on the DJI FPV? I've tried a Hero 9 and Hero 10 and the second I hit the record button I loose my GPS lock, I've had some less than desirable results doing that, crazy what I would almost call "fly aways" but was always able to regain control. It's a shame because the camera on the DJI FPV is just so poor, I'd love to slap a gopro on it but keep running into this GPS lock loss the second the record button is pressed. I even had this same experience with the little 360 V2 camera, it did the same as soon as I hit record, total GPS lock loss, still gets the sats, just looses the lock.

I am trying to install a mateksys bec 5/9v out and 6-30v in but if I ON the drone batery this burn the bec, I do not know what is the reason 😪😪

What is the reason to use the bec? The gp bones input: 5-27v (2s-6s lipo) and the dji battery is 22.2v 6s lipo

The best I can see so far I haven’t had any issues with GPS
