I wish I had such low expectations for what makes a perfect day as you do. I'm actually being serious lol. I think I've become a wee bit too jaded and cynical as I've gotten older. : (
avedic I can totally understand your sentiment. Maybe I was overreaching with the perfect day comment...but I do love Don C. and Will F. Having them together was just a good deal all around. :)
LOL, she might be the best drunk historian in all of the skits and from the comedy central show. She had me laughing the whole time. When she called him President Clinton and Will Ferrell and Don Cheadle both looked at the camera like "WTF" had me cracking up, then when she said her head was shutting to sleep at the end. Great job Jen, you should drink 2 bottles of wine and read history books more often.
And he really did. When he died, he was working hard to win women the right to vote, God bless him. Frederick Douglass was one of the greatest Americans of all time.
Its the best entertainment ever! Funny ass shit! Pardon my vulgarity!! I recommend for anyone to pass time away, in a bad mood, sick or anything for any occasion.
I have no idea how the actors can even get through this without laughing as hard as I am....This show is a genius concept.....wish I thought of it.......... This show makes you laugh so hard, you forget about ur problems.
Funny, and not entirely accurate, obviously, but she knows her history drunk better than most people do sober! She was keen to point out that Lincoln wasn't as much the "Great Emancipator" as school textbooks would have us believe, that his major priority was preserving the Union.
+dreamlandnightmare What's not accurate? The guy who does it, while wanting to have fun with it, makes sure all the information is correct (of course except funny slip ups like when she says Pres. Clinton). He's talked about how he will stop and correct them if they get off the facts.
@@mowganashwey look Abraham Lincoln was by no means a bad person. And there is evidence to show that he truly did lean towards an abolitionist sort of stance. But his ultimate goal was to preserve the union. He famously said that if he could save the union by freeing no slaves he would do it, if he could save the union by freeing all slaves he would do it, and if he could save the union by freeing some slaves then he would do that. Theres also the fact that during his time he was a bit of a tyrant. He did some questionable things when it comes to things like rights and due processes. All that said the fact is Abraham Lincoln was the president who finally ended American slavery. His motives may not have been entirely pure, and freeing the slaves didnt exactly mean they were treated equally. Sorry if I came off dismissive of the man. I really do respect a great many things about him, but I dont idolize him. Humans are flawed creatures. Raising anyone to that untouchable status is a bad idea.
"Thank you much ... for the walking stick." I'm seriously crying right now. This series is genius. We've got a satirical history series on our channel too, check it out.
I discovered this series in an effort to find an adjunct learning tool for our visit to historical Williamsburg. If you don't appreciate their drunken state and the sort of frat boy premise you have to regard the fine acting along with the historical references that popular actors, such as Will Ferrel, Don Cheatle, Jack Black, bring to life...lol! The backdrop to these events are well done and make learning fun...well, in a maverick kind of way. This clip is about Fredrick Douglas, or was it Richard Dreyfuss? and Abraham Lincoln's friendship despite their differing views of the Emancipation Proclamation. I seriously had tears rolling down my face! Jen Kirkman did an awesome job! My favorite episode by far! Mary Todd Lincoln offers a gift to Douglas, "Abe's favorite walking stick...that was like, Thank you much."
I love this show! Every chance I get, I tell people that they have to watch it. Now I know that I might’ve done a lot better in my history classes if the teacher would’ve just told the stories while they were drunk 🥴🤷🏽♀️🤣🤣🤣💯
2:59
The way they look at the camera when she gets the name of the president wrong LMAO
WesterWolf 😂😂😂😂😂
😂🤣🤣
Right lol. Don’s eyes are great
LOL 😂
Don Cheadle killed it on that speech.
agaeus
Yeah he did. Lol
i choked on my drink when she said clinton
+Ellie Bissell Temp- erance.

that got me to.
I loved Lincoln and Douglas' reactions as well!
lol me too!
"Thank you much, for the walking stick." I don't know why but I died right there.
Don Cheadle's wig is worth watching this, almost on it's own.
Lets name it Don Jr.!
He looks a legit makeup brush lol 😂
It is own? Dumbass

I about died of laughter at the Richard Dreyfuss bit.
"Did I need to do more story about them?" LOL 5:36
"Thank you much" - lost it XD
Lmaoooo "I wanted to lose weight before this"
Don Cheadle patting his fro wig before being presented added 10 years to my life 😂
Zooey makes Mary Todd look like she was completely dead inside... And I love it.
I love Zooey but when she's not into a role, she always looks dead inside.
By the end she was dead inside.
Perhaps because Mary Todd was dead inside. I mean her own son put her in the asylum in 1880s because she suffered from paranoia.
she's badass but she's not immune to feelings.
this is a perfect day for me....Don Cheadle AND Will Ferrell together in a skit? Can't ask for better!

"If they're prisoners of war, don't fucking kill them." - Frederick Douglass
The Most classic drunk history of all time
"He died doing what he loved - sticking up for ladies."
And you can't fault him for that.
😉
"Did I need to do a-more story about them?" -blinks one eye at a time lol
And he really did. When he died, he was working hard to win women the right to vote, God bless him. Frederick Douglass was one of the greatest Americans of all time.

2:53 "and Fredrick Douglass became an advisor to president Clinton for years"
Well, I wouldn't be surprised. I've heard that he has done an amazing job and is being recognized more and more these days.
Don Cheadle is fucking brilliant in this.
+eldaytripper2 the wig is pretty epic as well.
emma duncan Next level wig
I Love the great scripts & Don Cheadle's commitment to his portrayal - that he took it seriously despite that it was a comedic presentation.
This is the best, most iconic Drunk History. Jen rocks it!
This has always been my favorite drunk history, Jen Kirkman fucking rules
" did i take my pants off ". Aaaaahahaha
This is the best episode by far. Watched it a few times over a few years having a few beers with a few friends.
" I wanted to lose weight before this "
Oh wow, this takes me back. I forgot about this series, an old school UA-cam classic series
dying at 3:24 "alright, it's the Lincoln emancipation..memorial."
"Why do I feel like I took my pants off"
😂dying😂
It should really be "Richard Dryfus and President Clinton speak about abolishing slavery"
Omg the best acting ever! Funny funny funny! This is entertainment. And the bet drunk storytelling ever!
I love Drunken History so much!!
Its the best entertainment ever! Funny ass shit! Pardon my vulgarity!! I recommend for anyone to pass time away, in a bad mood, sick or anything for any occasion.

the date of the video is 2010 - that's only 12 years.
the lip syncing is so incredible and funny I cant get enough lol. I actually learned more on these videos then I actually did in history class.
"Thank you much...for the walking stick."
These videos are great. I can't believe I didn't find out about them earlier.
Two Bottles of Wine + Jen Kirkman = Comedic gold.
Best history lesson ever. Kudos to Will & Don. (& Zooey too)
Her face at the very beginning immediately after she says she's going to discuss Frederick Douglass...HILARIOUS!!!!!!
"Someone who has done a terrific job that is being recognized by more and more people"
"I didn't take my pants off ..did I?" Lmao 💀💀💀💀💀
When they showed Lincoln's death, the emotionless face of his wife mad me laugh so hard I think I pissed myself.
Don Cheadle's eyebrows must have like five inches of vertical range. Damn, those things can move so far
"Thank you much for the walking stick."
Years later, this shit is still gold.
I love the zero reaction from Mary Todd while watching her husband get shot. XD
I have no idea how the actors can even get through this without laughing as hard as I am....This show is a genius concept.....wish I thought of it.......... This show makes you laugh so hard, you forget about ur problems.

Well then mr history. Tell the world the story and make it right.
@@thatonestormtrooper2760 I mean, my Coloradoan history teachers of the mid to late 90s regarded him as the ultimate hero of civil rights...

P.S. I hope Jen does more of these. She totally rocked it! Historical bad ass...yep!
I'm very relieved to know that "Lincoln wasn't a douchebag." Love this video.
So funny. I think this is the funniest Drunk History.
I wish drunk history went back to being drunk and funny like this .
"Thank you much ... for the walking stick." I'm seriously crying right now. This series is genius. We've got a satirical history series on our channel too, check it out.
Why is drunk history so much more interesting then regular history?
"Did I need to do a more story about them?"
"He fucking listened"

That look they gave the camera when she said ''President Clinton'' was priceless.

"and, you can't fault him for that..."

When Lincoln leaned in at 2:30, I was like... "Yeah, Lincoln and Douglass... I ship it."
