HEEEY GUYS! I'm looking for video ideas / Iceland topics for my upcoming videos! 👀 Soooo I wanted to check: What would YOU like to see? Iceland travel itineraries, Icelandic phrases to learn before your trip, road trip stuff?? I genuinely would love to know so that I can make exactly the type of content that you'd be most interested in seeing. Let me know! ✌🏻❤
We will be coming to Iceland this December 2024! Definitely booking the Food Tour & Northern Lights Tour. Will you have the New Year’s Eve Party again this year? If so, we would love to ring in the new year Reykjavik Style! 🎉
We just finished our Iceland trip from Seattle. This channel helped us a lot. We stayed at AirBnB near the Lebowski bar. It was an amazing experience. Thank you to this channel
We were there in April 2023. We finished seeing the South coast. We loved Iceland so much that we booked another trip to be there during the Christmas week to see the North coast this time. Hoping to see the Northern lights. It would be great to see more videos about visiting the North side in December and maybe seeing the active volcano as well :)
We arrive mid December and cannot wait! My daughters would love snow but we are definitely going to be booking the Northern Lights tour with you and excited for ice skating. All sounds amazing. Great videos!
oh man! We just came back from Iceland in July and we did your Food Tour with Minty. Such a good time! Now, I'm thinking about heading back for New Years, and hopefully your party... (decisions, decisions...)
Oh that's wonderful to hear Megan, thank you so much for the kind words. I really appreciate it and I'm so glad our videos have come in handy! I definitely recommend subscribing, we plan on posting a new video with travel tips through the year every Friday (starting this week) ❤️🇮🇸 If you have any Iceland questions or need help with anything, you can always email us at info@wakeupreykjavik.com 🥳
Love your content....coming to town for Christmas 2024 and will be staying in Reykavik for the holiday. Having trouble deciding what to do on the 24th and 25th given the limited things open and available...would love some ideas! Our agent has originally planned for us to do Sly Lagoon on the 24th and nothing on the 25th, but since we are going to Blue Lagoon later in the week if felt 'repetitive' then she suggested Perlan and Fly Over Iceland...any ideas from a local on things to do over the course of those two days in the downtown area?
Loved the video. We are coming in on the night of the 13th, then heading to the Ranga for the next 4 days. We plan on stopping into Reykjavik on our way to the hotel for lunch. Then, we are doing the food tour with you guys on our last day (the 19th). We will probably do lunch and walk around town before joining the tour. Do you have a few recommendations for where we should eat on the 14th and that afternoon before meeting up with you guys? Thank you again for the most excellent information. Skal!
Hi, Thanks for making such interesting and helpful clips. Could you possible make one on what happens at Easter in Iceland? Traditions and closures? I imagine the stores and restaurants will be closed Good Friday and Easter Sunday?
Hi my name is Tiffanie, I am thinking about taking the trip in first week of December, would you please advise what is the things to be aware of,,or any advise I really appreciate you kindness in the advance. Enjoy your trip.thanks
Sounds amazing! I wish we were going to be there. We’re coming to visit at the beginning of February. How do the day tours like Golden Circle work if there is a storm or a road closing? I know you already answered my question about fish allergies on the Reykjavik Food Walk and I appreciated your response. Thanks.Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s Eve!
Heeey Sarah! Thanks for your comment. December is a wonderful time to visit but I have no doubt you'll love it here in February as well :)) If we receive a heavy snowstorm here in Iceland and the roads outside of Reykjavik are closed then the tour won't be able to be operated on that day and will be cancelled. You would then have the option of either receiving a full refund or rescheduling to a date with better weather where all of the roads would be open :) I hope this helps!
Hey! Your videos have been super helpful! I will be in Iceland in September 2023 for a week. So excited to visit as I should have been in 2020! your ideas about Iceland travel itineraries, Icelandic phrases to learn before your trip and road trip advice is great! I'm from Scotland, so it'll be nice to experience a different culture as well as take in the beautiful views of the northern lights and landscapes! Hard to choose from the wide variety of tours haha. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and all the best for the New Year!
Awesome! Thank you Holly for the comment and suggestions! More videos coming super soon! Wonderful to hear that you'll be coming in September, I have no doubt you'll love it ❤
Great video, thanks so much! I'll definitely drop you a message about restaurants as I can see you food tour is sold out for the dates we're over (28th dec - 2nd jan) 😞
Heeey Clarizza! Dan here :) Awesome to hear that you're coming in January, it can be a fantastic time to visit! I'll try my very best to make a video, December is usually our busiest time of year and these videos take a while to make but I'll definitely try! Since your trip is approaching fast, you can always reach out at info@wakeupreykjavik.com if you have any questions or view/book activities on our page here: wakeupreykjavik.com/tours Warmest regards, Dan :)
First time coming to the coldest area in my life. We will be arriving on the 24th. Already booked northern lights tour. I’d like to know how we can use public transport/buses in Reykjavik since we are in the suburb.
Hi I'm at the moment looking for flights to Reykjavik for March. Please can you tell me what the weather is like? Am I likely to see the Aurora Borealis? Thinking of staying for 3 nights. Many thanks.

Hey, I'll be going to Iceland on the 31st of december and through the first week of January. I was wondering about the opening times of (grocery) stores, museums etc. on the first days of January. Do you know something about this?
Heeey Isabelle! Dan here :) Awesome to hear, I'm sure you'll love it! January 1st is usually pretty similar to our Christmas openings (very limited) in regards to restaurants, grocery stores etc. Icelanders really celebrate on the 31st and will usually relax at home on this day 😇 I hope this helps Isabelle 🥰
Heeey Maria! Dan here :) Awesome! We'd love to see you at our party this NYE. Super exciting! The promo codes works for all of the tours on our page but not for the NYE party (I'm sorry about that!). There is little wiggle room on the pricing due to the high price of renting the venue, staff on NYE and the alcohol that's included in the ticket :( But we'd love to see you there so I hope you can make it! ❤️🥳

Sorry if this is a repeated question. In addition to Apple Pay, is Google Pay prevalent?
I have not heard as much about it, but I am sure it works in most places here like apple pay ☺️
