I was in Reykjavik in March this year and it was super strong that night! I saw the lights when I was in Reykjavik in October 2022 too. Maybe I'm just lucky.

0:54 This is not true. I was living Reykjavik before, and you can see strong northern lights from Reykjavik very often during the winter. Even from the downtown area, near Hallgrímskirkja, the main shopping streets and definitely near Perlan. The light pollution is not a big deal in Reykjavik.

Is Reykjavik ok for a lady to travel solo, join attend a new years party/celebration (if one is still available), do Golden Circle, see the Northern Lights (or should I travel to Grotta Light House) , and, of course, the food walk tour?!?! Thank you for your expert help.
Coming up on the 30th for a week of this year and we are looking forward to the mini bus trip. We do get included a Jet2 northern lights tour but think its one of the big ones so want to book in the small one and the golden circle with hidden lagoon. Does the Dan code still work?

Im thinking of going in mid march around the time the spring equinox occurs which means greater chance of northern lights
