Masayuki Kunihiro was awesome this season. I hope to see more of his stylized animation like this in the future since I always saw him as the sword fight guy even in the Fate series.
That last crowd shot blew my mind. The rest of the season was eh, but that scene right there almost gaslit me into think I was watching something special.
My immediate reaction after this episode aired was to message my friend, not to comment on the content of the episode, but just to say; "Bro Ufotable is at it again, I just witnessed the most beautifully animated sunrise I've ever seen" And as per usual, really nice and insightful analysis! Thank you!
Great send off vid of Ufotable stuff for the time being. Terao amazes with the sunrise scene, so many elements put together perfectly. And Kunihiro pulling through quite heavily on this season's work load. Care to tease what next video idea is strongest in your mind right now 👀
Another video about the state of the industry. I did it last year, and I'm thinking of making it an annual thing cause it really is ever changing...for the worse of course.
A sadly topical and prevalent issue. Despite the importance of covering it for documentation, it's always good to get more people acquainted with the situation of the industry and the effects of industry wide strain.
The work Ufotable does is more akin to video game cutscenes rather than anime. Terao’s been with Ufo for two decades this must be the culmination of his experience.
Yeah thats why they are so open to picking up video game adaptations like Genshin Impact. It’s their comfort zone. I wish it wasnt that way but I cant blame them for taking a guaranteed money making project that’s also easy for them
Wow... I just discovered your channel and your analysis is incredible in everything you cover from somehow researching and knowing every animator involved and the cuts they did and your general love and passion for this medium. As an aspiring animator/director, there's so much to take away from everything you describe and I sincerely appreciate that. Keep up the fantastic work and dedication--your videos are bound to blow up with how much depth and effort is put in. Thank you and looking forward to more! :D
The scenery here was definitely amazing, I did not expect it. So beautiful. This season had some dope moments of action animation that didn't live up to s1-2's best moments imo, but were still great. Honestly besides this last episode the part that stood out most to me was the infinite domain thing in the 1st episode. I've rewatched it a couple times cuz it's just so cool to me for some reason.
completly agree, the compostiting on the sunrise was gorgeouse and definetly up their with UFOtables's best. Also don't wanna be that guy that comments abiut off topic things but are you going to do an animation analysis about the new Black Clover moive?
I didn't watch the black clover movie minus Sakugabooru posts, and from what I saw it really isn't good enough to make a video about. So much other stuff that's incredible even in TV anime that I'd rather do an analysis of.
0:59 maybe that had to do with Yuji Shimizu being a first-time director on KnY with that episode? I dunno But he’s apparently listed as ED/SB for episode 2 of Hashira Training, so we’ll see more of what he can do
Hi, great video, thanks! I want to ask you, didn't ufotable use their most talented staff like in final episode season 2? What is Shun Yamaoka busy with? And how to get that knowledge of somebody is working at on something?
Hey MankoMan, have you seen that 100 cams documentary about the animation process for Attack on Titan s4 p3? If so, what did you think of it, and how it displayed the process?

It's missing Kunihiro smears, and it's very similar to Kimura's style. There's no way of figuring out for sure but I checked with Relux and he thinks it's by Kimura as well.
Ahh got it. Yeah I just rechecked Sakugabooru I guess it was Go Kimura and Masayuki Kunihiro. Hard to tell when Kunihiros part is at tho cause I thought that one super heavy slash was him, the timings pretty similar.
@@rrbcraftergames3361 If you watch the SakugaBooru clip, based on the slow-motion sequence and the heavy camera work, features that are often present in his cuts, Kimura animated 0:18-0:45 at least. I personally found this season boring and full of npc backstories which I didn't care about. The finale was cool, but I predicted everything, and the artstyle changed quite drastically in the last few minutes, which was really odd. The only reason I'll probably watch the last season is because it's the last season. The season before this one was very forgettable, and i have no hopes for the rest. Hopefully they go crazy in the infinity castle arc since the infinity castle arc fights are so so so much better then Swordsmith fights
@catlike9444 There's a lot of stuff in that arc that just seem perfect for Kunihiro
