This album and mycologically infused chocolates are healing me right now. Lost my mom in 2018 and hadn't cried in a couple of years. This is beautiful brother. Even if you never read this thank you for the impact your music has had in my life. Don't ever stop. I love you all
Dear Mattsy, you have somehow paraphrased what I would have posted had I not been too sad and confused to post (also, one year ahead of you, it's not so bad :)
So much of Knower and Clown Core feels like a "more is more" philosophy where they are just cramming as many notes, genres, and music theory techniques into a track as possible -- and I love that -- but it's also really cool to see Louis bring his considerable talent to bear on some "less is more" type tracks too. The arrangements are simpler and more emotional. The ideas are bit more earnest and restrained. It's amazing to see how much he can say and how moving it can be by restricting himself to do less musically. (With great power/talent/chops comes great responsibility.) I hope he allows himself the space to continue putting out this (relatively) chill stuff even while he continues to push boundaries with his neo-funk crazy stuff. I'm here for all it.
This is a great album Louis. The songwriting, execution and production values alone are remarkable, but what makes this truly great is the freedom of expression and your vulnerability. As a listener, this is outside of the comfort zone, yet exactly where I ought to be. Please keep it up.
Seriously that chord at 3:10 is too fucking much... It breaks my brain, I freaking love it!! You're amazing, thank you for making such incredible music!
I've been playing jazz drums for some time now, and like everyone else, I have day dreams of playing with famous people, but honestly, if I got invited to play with his band... I would have to pass. I can't hang with these guys. Too much heat. Too much precision. And I think he's just getting started...
You should consider this reaction, as truly good music typically has the effect of inspiring people. You're not the first person I've seen say this about this clique either...its not uncommon for actual musicians in the comments to profess a reaction of hopelessness and dread...these people and their art...it's quite a farce and your heart is less fooled by it than your brain.
From a dude that's giving us mere mortals his best efforts, sometimes hating, always loving....coming from just another lost soul who appreciates this music from a truly gifted fellow soul😌
Louis Cole has one thing in common with so many timeless musicians: he recognizes that if you block out the perceived outcome of a creation, if you disregard what people will think about it just focus on creating something that is a manifestation of the energy around you and inside you at that moment, then the resulting creation will always triumph. This is a beautiful track. Another one of my favorite musicians, John Frusciante, spends 45 minutes talking about Quality over Opinion here: ua-cam.com/video/5ArDkQJbVcE/v-deo.html
Louis, I truly hope you'll find time to write a proper string orchestra piece. I'm brought up within a camerata string orchestra. I have listened to a lot of string music. You are among my top ten favorite string composers.
omaigato. leveling up. please allow some remixes of this, would be so insane! stems? 🤤😅 "incoming ilumi dildo" LOL. you are such a good person. mad respect
“Sometimes hating, always loving”. In the rhythm of a heartbeat. Gorgeous piece.
Genuinely profound
True genius is telling another person what they didn't even know they were thinking. That's what this just did for me.

I’m 44, dad x2, married 10 years, fairly happy, successful, fortunate, but this track cut deep. I legit cried on the outro.
Agree.
Amen brother. Something about this track is just next-level profound.
Indeed

The fantastic composition of the song mixed with the poetry spoken in front of and behind it... Amazing!
My path is up to me
Our path is up to us
But we need each other
Tell your friends
These words are for you

Louis,
Your art is the best art of all the art.
Dude, my jaw dropped at the end there. Holy shit man!
Cole you are an underrated treasure in a world full of overrated pleasures🤘🏻♥️👏🏻
Sobbing throughout this entire track. This is what virtuosic potential fully realized sounds like

Uncontrollable crying as I sit here in my car and listen to the absolute truth vocally and sonically.
Seriously that chord at 3:10 is too fucking much... It breaks my brain, I freaking love it!!
You're amazing, thank you for making such incredible music!
I’d love to hear an instrumental version of this song. Just the music, beautiful.
The sound of the future. Brilliant
Like someone else said this extremely saddening and uplifting at the same time. I feel hopeless and optimistic at the same time listening to this.
I don't even need food right now. His music is sustaining me like the sun gazers looking into the sun.
This is some profound shit. Everything you touch is gold. Thank you Louis Cole. Seriously, thank you.
saw him recite this while reading it in a paper, it was even mindblowing than listening to the studio version
Wow. What an experience listening to that! High speed through my head...words, thoughts, emotions and images. Love it.Thanks
This is a terrific track. I hear some similar gestures to Berg's Wozzeck with the creeping line. Nice.
And the cycle repeats... Fitter Happier
This guy deserves my money. if I had any.
Thank you. Sincerely.
really dig this album
I cry everytime I listen to this
I love you Louis 🧡 thank you!

Joe hisaishi, ryuichi sakamoto
Maybe I'm crazy but I got FFX temple trial vibes from this.
Holy shit? Holy shit.
Well put. +1000
This intro is amazing
woah
The essence
Sounds like stream of consciousness poetry over a John Barry soundtrack. Bold!
My days, you’re quantised different
Those genious strings arrangements reminds me of Jeremy Lubbock.

🎧 so. great.
Nice
i just realized this song's 0:50 sounds a lot like clown core's Three's 1:55, the melody is literally the same. that's neat.

Justin Hawkins said I should check you out
if he isn't the new MJ/Prince/Zappa/James Brown I'll eat my own ears
come on, dammit....lyrics please! Always loving.
Oh my god
omaigato. leveling up. please allow some remixes of this, would be so insane! stems? 🤤😅

poserocity
Reminds me of 2001 space odyssey
and that outro..
Mister Louis, why this shit unlisted I couldn't find it, tryna play minecraft to some keyboard clicks and mediocre ideas.
