Her youth was stolen from her, but she endured. I imagine she probably had a psychological breakdown. After all she went through, who wouldn't. I hope, she finally found peace and lived a long life. Killing is entrenched deeply within THEIR genes. They have to have sacrifices when one of them dies. In 1944, fourteen yo George Stinney was convicted by a jury not of his peers for murdering two white girls and sentenced to death by electrocution. Stinney who was 5'1 and weighed about 80 was accused of killing eleven and eight old girls. Stinney was so small that he had to sit on a bible in the electric chair. Years later the state of S. Carolina determined Stinney was falsely convicted! That didn't do George Stinney or his family any good because George was still dead.

White women would sit alone in their big comfortable beds in "the big house" while their "very dignified husbands- fathers to their children- would elect to leave them to go rword either women AND/ OR men, adults and children, in the slave quarters... many times, creating children with "the property". Imagine how hate- filled these women became over the years. They can say what they may, but their history is far wicked than ANY other group of ppl could ever be. That's why they want to hide it. My heart broke listening to this, imagining myself in Mary's shoes, having once been a 13 year old Black Girl, and also, as a parent of 7 Black children. But my imagination could never fully understand the fear that they went through. I am glad that I didn't and don't EVER want to experience anything like this because unfortunately, things like this is STILL happening more than 150 years later💔😢

Combined they reshaped all of us to understand the horror of American society for Black people. Mary was a child destroyed by an entire system and she should be remembered. I'm not surprised at the severity of storms that ravaged the southern states today, it's as though retribution is being meted out to these places where hatred and racism have festered for years. I work in the food industry, despite disinfectants and worrying about the cold chain, we still get mould growing on products once in a while, or foreign objects (plastic from gloves or PPE, hair) in the product. I've also had food poisoning a couple of times in my life, by eating whipped cream (from a canister) and chicken (mostlly). Back in those days when refrigeration etc. didn't exist, food poisoning must have been even more common... and since arsenic is used as a pest killer by some gardeners, Mary's employers could easily have bought vegetables which were 'laced' with arsenic.

You may be correct. However, mis-Educated people repeat history more than anyone else. Falsely believing themselves to be undertaking “new” activities, “new” practices.
These narratives by Julian Johnson, Esq. serve an extremely important mortar-filling on USA-concept “History.” Which isn’t “Black History,” so much as it is the chronicled record of R/WS-in merely one national concept.
When it is Correctly compiled, it reflects a microcosm of a global historical Power/Privileges/Profit-Motivated Economy, People-Interactivity System & Dynamic whose scale and scope encompasses the whole planet, on every known land mass.
This “power system/power dynamic” is the Reason that all interactions between people (contemporarily) ARE as dysfunctional, as dangerous, & as deadly as they are today-in all major human Areas of Activity (Econ., Edu., Entertainment, Labor, Law, Politics, Religion, Sex, & War).
Until Systemic Justice replaces and eclipses Systemic Injustice-becoming even more fun, more profitable, more successful-the species homo sapien-sapien is not only doomed to repeat its now-old habits out of Ignorance & Arrogance, but it is also doomed to prematurely vanishing into extinction-by its proliferation of recessive genetic material; and by its systemic depletion of dominant, robust, diversified, & FERTILE genetic RNA/DNA material, based on vestigial values which are artificially Incorrect scientifically, & which should never have been excessively-valued to the points of “protection & supremacy” to begin with. Those same values determine all known Outcomes between people, to this date. ⚖️🍁🤎🧡💛♥️🕯⚖️
