This is one of the best R&B groups ever. They owned the late 70's. They survived an era when disco ruled. They along with Earth Wind & Fire, successfully kept R&B alive during that time. Good choice of song.
Twins are the bomb! Always cheer me up after a long day at work. Thanks guys for the amazing music choices and cheering us all up with your appreciation of this amazing music
I pray for continued success to the both of you. As a mother of two young black men, (Curon & Curtis IV,) who are making a positive impact on this world & are doing it in spite of the many challenges & obstacles you’ve faced. We are so proud of you , your platform & your humility. I pray that God meets your every need every time. 🙏🏽❤️👍🏽
I didn't realize how popular you guys are... but when SNL is imitating you, you know you've made it! Congrats on your success! I'm a 46-year-old white woman who loves you guys... I especially enjoy your reactions to the 90s rap / hip-hop stuff!! :)
Lead singer of the awesome Commodores is Lionel Richie. They were great then he went solo. He’s a judge on American Idol, he wrote Lady for Kenny Rogers.
Alabama here too!! I used to love riding through Tuskegee when we would go visit family near there. Seeing them live was the second concert I ever attended in Montgomery and then I saw Lionel solo in Birmingham with Tina Turner opening for him. Earth Wind & Fire opened for them when I saw them in Montgomery. My first concert was Dolly in Montgomery.
Another Bama in the house...also a Tuskegee Alumni. I actually use to work at the Alumni house where Lionel Richie's mother was a volunteer. She gave me one of his old leather jackets. I was very upset when I took it home and left it there when I went back to college...My mother threw it away!!!
I was born and raised in Alabama, not Tuskegee but Tuscaloosa. Grew up in the 70’s and always loved Lionel Richie’s music. Still love listening to some of the best songs from back in the day. 💕
Maybe it’s the zippy sound when Ritchie says “I wanna be hiiiigh…” it shares that futuristic sound might you hear in Pink Floyd’s prog-rock, which IMHO also has smooth and soaring, intense movements. And maybe the escapist flight theme, like Learning to Fly, my favorite PF song.
Much like the Bee Gee's, Lionel is a fantastic song writer who's written songs for not only himself and his former band, but many, many other artists. Can't deny Lionel's talents.
I think you guys need your own prime time TV show and bring back the great bands with you hosting. It would be awesome to have a Midnight Special or Soul Train reboot.
Fabulous idea....anyone that can arrange that?? Wouldn’t we all watch? I think so much of these young men and wish them even more success....and Fred...one day you will own your own barber shop...it’s just a matter of time
The Commodores were awesome in concert! Smooth, romantic & relevant in the 70's...Twins, some others to check out by the Commodores: Zoom, Just to be Close to You, Brick House!
I used to like to put this on at my restaurant job after a crazy busy dinner rush just to bring down people's blood pressure. Ppl especially loved the "I wanna be high, so high" part
Hearing all those songs live in concert... Oh my goodness was beyond Amazing! Seemed like a lifetime ago but good memory. Mann I just kinda revealed I'm getting old....
Williams Kings! The Commodores broke onto the music scene and were a force to be reckoned with. I still can't look at American Idol without humbling myself in respect to lead singer Lionel Richie.Thank you for another great reaction 👍🏽💖

The Commodores are one of the best seventies groups! I love all their music and Easy is one if my favorite songs! Lionel Richie’s voice is so smooth and beautiful!! I love the seventies groups with all the instrumentals! Also react to their songs, Still, Zoom, Three Times a Lady, and more.. ❤️❤️
We grew up listening to the Commodores. My dad’s music...therefore our music. Ahhh this song brings back so many memories of teen club dances, hoping that one guy will ask you to dance and hoping they played the long version of this song ❤️❤️
Laughing to myself thinkin..."If they only knew "Brick House" and "Easy" are on the exact same side of the original album...😂😂😂😂 I would like to see THAT reaction!😁👍
Lionel Richie was the reason The Commodores was a big success he did most of the writing and singing he’s the Goat!! He needs an special award for his song writing
Lionel and the still working, Commodores have talked about a reunion off and on for years. I'd love to see it and hear it. I listen to them and him all of the time since 1976. I was 12 then.

Excellent choice 😎❤️💥
Yes! My favorite song by the Commadors.
Oh yes, and I mentioned “Zoom” too! That one is my favorite.
And Three times a lady
This is the same group that made brick house. The lead singer is Lionel Richie. He is fabulous!
Yay, I'm finally relevant.
I was just about to say almost the same thing. Lionel Richie was huge in the 1980s when he went solo.
@@NathanVeenstra commodores was huge on the 70’s
❤️❤️❤️😌
And he’s one of the judges on American Idol.
Lead singer of the awesome Commodores is Lionel Richie. They were great then he went solo. He’s a judge on American Idol, he wrote Lady for Kenny Rogers.
I LOVE Lady!
I never realized he wrote "Lady" but it makes a lot of sense.
“Lionel Richie ain’t been black since The Commodores, man.” - Chris Tucker, Rush Hour 2
Lady - greatest performances are Lionel himself, Kenny and the late great Teddy Pendergrass' performance was mind blowing...
Another great song!
From my home state of Alabama. Tuskegee alumni. Lionel Richie is one of the most underrated song writers ever. His song writing is BADD ASS.

I’ve never heard anyone compare The Commodores to Pink Floyd. But that’s why I love you guys! 🙌🔥🎶
Right? I take it as they mean the sound is clean, professional and classic 🤷♀️
Right?! I laughed out loud. But I also get what he was trying to say.
Interesting interpretation indeed but I love these boys. The innocence. I'm so jealous of it.
I think they meant they are smooth sounding.
