This man 80 years old and still kicking strong Respect
He is so intelligent and such a beautiful soul of a strong black man.
The Original "King Kunta!"
Fall back young Kenny from Compton!!
RIP Ja'Net Dubois. She died today. Wilona Woods
She pass yesterday
Mark J.....remember when she adopted little Janet Jackson? Abuse issues and all....That was the first time in my young life, think I was 5 or 6 but I remember clearly, that I'd ever seen child abuse addressed and dealt with, I mean she took that little girl in like it was thing to do....turns out the writers of that show had much more talent than any critic gave em credit for, and that story line proved it....

My bad. She passed yesterday. Yeah, Good Times was eye opening. Remember that scene when Penny's mom, (Kim Fields real mom) was about to beat her and she was like, "No momma, I won't say it again, momma please, no momma). That shook me because I grew up on the reruns. That was a 70's show, I caught it in the 80's. I was born in 72'
Damn I didn't know R.I.H. smh
"they have the golden arches, we have the golden arch"😂😂😂😂😂

We related to him more than Cosby because Good Times was closer to the black struggle
Big Facts My Brother💯
Reminds me of Skyzoo’s Theo vs JJ joint.
I related to both. “Good Times” was where we were and the “Cosby Show” was where we wanted to be.
Exactly! Never had a father but always envisioned him as James Evans!!!💛
Not all black people struggle
When I say the boy got his own money HE'S GOT HIS OWN MONEY
Lmaaoooo
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Backstory on the “Stay off the drugs” line - when Akeem was talking about the “Giants of New York and the Packers of Green Bay”, and the Giants winning on a field goal - that game actually happened in the 2008 NFC Championship Game...twenty years after the movie released...
Boy got his own MONEY!!!!

“... Break my foot off in your royal ass” ... absolutely my favorite line in that movie! I still repeat that line and make myself laugh.
He was classic in Coming to America!
Luenell killed the whole interview 🤦🏽♂️
I don't know whether to shake your hand, or kiss it or bow or what. I feel like breakdancing.

"They have the golden arches, we have the golden arcs."
The GREAT John Amos! I could just HUG this guy.....definitely an American Treasure!!
Really can’t wait for the sequel! I have a feeling that the sequel won’t disappoint.
"Your little goat herder makes Darell look like a welfare case" classic
"I was the one that told Eddie Murphy to come to America" - tk Kirkland
Mr. Amos is a very articulate speaking brother. Very intelligent!

He was funny af in that movie
Lunell doesn't let the guest talk or finish thier thoughts. In the future no more Lunell.
My sentiments exactly!
I've listened to the interviews with Vlads other guest hosts...it could be a lot worse trust me.
Love her but this isn’t her strong suit.
Vlad do the same thing he not funny though he just say bs constantly
Richard Hennessy!! Disagree
I mean damn let the man speak
Can’t wait too see the new coming too America 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
RIP to Janet Du'Bois aka Wilona from GoodTimes 1
One of the greatest comedies of all time
I love John Amos. My first exposure to him was Roots.
LIVING LEGEND 🙌
I LOVE this fine old man! 100% man!
Oh Lisa, you did it this time. You hit the jackpot.
Lucious Roy I watched Live on ABC when they redid Good Times, Amos played Alderman Fred Davis, he looked much older than he did on this interview. He looks good for 80. John Amos is a very good actor.
My Favorite Movie!
Lunell acting like she hasn't ever seen the movie 😂 she's entertaining as a stand up, this isn't her strength... John's greatness saves this interview! Did it put queens on the map? 🤔🤣
Little known fact John Amos was also a McDonald’s store trainer for the Canadian market back in the 70s.
he said so in part 2 or 3 but thanks
tanheavy Whoops I missed the segment
I love him in that movie
Still funny how it was shot inside of a Wendys instead of a Mcdonalds... had Wendys decor and everything 😂
Greatest Comedy ever made. The 1st Nutty Professor up there too. Eddie a beast making Comedys
Very good actor..
They should have had sam Jackson back working at McDowell's on work release 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And Cuba Gooding still getting his hair cut.
Everytime I click on his vids, Luenell's voice always throw me off. Lmao
Lol. It's like "wtf is that sound??"
@@bkkersey93 Lmao FACTS!!!! 😂
One Of Best Movie In The World Hands Down Funny From The Beginning To The End Love This Movie Till This Day
Coming to America and Harlem Nights are by far the two funniest comedy movies ever!!! They’re in a league of their own.
Harlem Nights doesn't get the love it should get!
Dorian Grey Just as many one liners... Dope cast!
He deserves a better interviewer, I love her work but someone of his work should have had a real one.
Tamu Lawrence lol this is a conversation
He is such a dignified man
I was in junior high school when this was filming.... queens Blvd and grand Avenue... they turn Wendy's to macdowell
Remember when he said Hakeem makes the Jerry curl guy look like a welfare case
😂😂😂😂
Did y’all notice F. Gary Gray ( when he was young)was sitting in the background audience with Eddie and Arsenio when they had church that night?
As much as I loved Cleo McDowell in the movie, I have to say that my favorite line came from Akim's father, the King: Akim complains to his father that he is "a man who has never tied his own shoes." The King replies. "Wrong. You are a PRINCE who has never tied his own shoes. I tied my own shoes once. Believe me, it is an overrated experience."
Here in Mexico they show this movie on tv sometimes
Jokers Wild Good.
@Future Universe X 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Omg..all I see is him with that side part 😁😁
Eriq La Salle was one of those who made it big after the movie. He did episodes of "LA LAW" until he ultimately landed a big role on the show "ER".
Hartford,CT. Alumni. Went to school w my uncle.
Jay Klaxton soul glow😂
I like him in the movie Lock Up as Captain Meissner
It was one of the 10 best Black Casted movies of ALL time.
Bro his character was 1 of the funniest in the whole movie and he was supposed to be serious 😂😂😂 Mr McDowell was hilarious
Luenell just gotta keep reminding everybody she’s in the sequel even when that’s not the topic 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️😂😂
RIP Ja'net Dubois.... Never knew she sang the Good Times theme song... beautiful talented woman...
She didn't sing that song. She sang the Jeffersons theme song
Nope. Jim Gilstrap (a well known singer from the time) and Blinky Williams sang it.
They got the Big Mac we got the Big Mick
Where's the irony in Amos playing a restaurant manager in CTA?
Vlads gonna be like "damn I never got to interview pop smoke" he's mad because he cant post the flashback
Rare brother right there
My favorite movie until I leave.#johnamos #legend
RIP Janet DuBois great talent
