In this clip, John Amos talked about his experience working with Bill Cosby. He detailed how Cosby was against using profanity while on set and explained how his off-set demeanor didn't always align with who people saw onscreen or onstage. John Amos also said that he'd heard rumors floating around Hollywood of Cosby's actions back in the day so he wasn't surprised when things finally surfaced. - Розваги
John Amos is a class act. When his character died on Good Times, it was heart breaking. The show was never the same without him.

I suppose Norman Lear was more interested in ratings than what the show was becoming, that it was pretty much turning into "The JJ Show". John wasn't too thrilled about Jimmie Walker becoming the breakout star and his JJ character uttering "DY-NO-MITE!!!" in nearly every episode. John saw JJ as buffoonish and wanted the character to look less like a stereotype. How did Norman respond? He called John to let him know he wouldn't be back next season and that his character would be killed off.

God, I just love John Amos. When I was a little white kid in the 70s watching Good Times I related so much to the loving yet hot tempered dad he portrayed. So much like my dad. What a gentleman. 🧡

Love this man. He was perfect in any role. His role as father on Good Times is legend. He was also great as "Gordy" on Mary Tyler Moore. I heard they were going to expand his role when he was offered the starring role on Good Times. He did go back to visit on MTM on one episode "Hail the Conquering Gordy" and it was a wonderful loving reunion

She was coming up with a lot of back/alley comments - not very professional I felt , as far as them doing an interview .Trying to put him on spot to make comments about Cosby - he kept it clean , didn't give in .

John Amos is such a good actor, and he just ages so well, I have enjoyed his work for years.
I don't know John Amos I am from the UK perhaps that's why. But he is a gorgeous man even though he is 80.

@@wiglafsfilms8418 Thank you so much for your information on John Amos. He certainly has had a distinguished career. As you suggested I have just Googled him. He was in Roots, the West Wing, Die Hard 2, loads of other TV shows and films. He has also recorded a country music album and last year he was inducted in the New Jersey Hall of Fame. All in all a successful career.

Total respect for John Amos and his work; I’ve loved watching him for almost 50 years now. And equal respect for his professionalism and grace in the face of the lunatic questioning him, trying to provoke some sort of negative response on his part. A true professional and a timeless gentleman.

Most female interviewers are the same way. Its not a dig at women but just something they often have in common. Barbara Walters is a good example. Theres been quite a few female journalists at the different 60 minutes also that just could not let the subject talk. Same with female talkshow hosts....its just not that easy for the person being interviewed to get a word in.
