I can see Radiation still 'killing' you when you're a ghoul, but I'd just head-canon it as turning feral.
Creatures of the fog looks pretty rad, although if my skyrim modding PTSD taught me anything, its that all creature mods are scuffed and have some random mesh that breaks your game. It might not be the case here though, seeing the sheer quality in the custom creatures for this game, I'm surprised such a large pack had such smooth creature behavior + animations!
Mutant Menagerie is a brilliant mod, i personally never ran into any problems with it in terms of scruffiness or broken meshes. You should definitely consider getting it.
The only bad thing about it is the hefty space requirement on Xbox.

An add on to the ghoul mod would be so the BOS will shoot you at sight unless wearing a helmet before meeting them
That ghoul mod is insane and awesome af, wish Bethesda will add this mechanic in Fallout 5

@@janebtar2167 .....Imma assume you're trolling. I'm not hating here, but Bethesda makes anything but amazing games. They make fun games. But those games are incredibly buggy, broken, and heavily shallow in their respective mechanics. Oh, and the one all of the NV fans always say, the writing is shallow and basic too.
I love and enjoy these games of theirs, but don't put them on a pedestal they haven't earned, please. Because if it weren't for modders, Bethesda's games wouldn't be alive and thriving. They'd be dead, and quite literally neigh unplayable messes.

A note about the ADS shake thing, there’s been mods that have done that before. The shaking is an additive animation that plays after the ads fire animation, it looks ugly because it’s vanilla, but a lot of modern weapon mods use edited versions of that additive to add more character to the fire animations. I’ve done it in my more recent mods as well. Just something to be aware of.
Can't you just make it an optional file addition to the mod instead of slapping it on by default? :D

I started playing fallout 4 recently after stopping for 4 years. I just went all in on mods and have been looking for mods to play with. I appreciate that someone is still making fallout 4 content 6 years after it came out
Try out the MIRV Minigun 😂! You can craft it without downloading mods! Watch out for guides, to see what kind of a retarded overpowered weapon this is 😂😂! When I saw it for the first time, I was almost dying in real life!

One of the unique Wendego of the Horrors of the Deep mod is actually a direct reference to the Wendego from Frost, Ithaqua.
While it probably won't obliterate your health like in Frost, it's still a powerful beast.
and another fun fact and a bit of spoiler:
the Wendigo from Frost is a direct reference to Wendigo-turned Joshua Graham in the FALLOUT NEW VEGAS mod (and predecessor to FROST) Dust Survival Simulator. Which he indeed obliterates your health

I saw that Underground Hideout on Nexus. Thanks for showcasing it, so I can get a "see it before you buy it" preview. You mentioned not asking for anything else. The author said he based it on danthegeek's Underground Hideout from F/O3. That one included a virtual firing range in the armory. I'd say that's about all this one is lacking.

Always thought it was crazy that we couldn't become a ghoul in the Bethesda Fallout games. Like we can become a vampire or a werewolf in the Elder Scrolls, you would think that something like this would be a no-brainer.
Thats not just a “Bethesda Fallout” thing, thats across the entire series, and the reason why that’s probably never been a feature is because theres no way out of it unlike TES vampires or werewolves. Becoming a Ghoul or Super mutant is a permanent thing unless Virgil canonically survives Fallout 4 and gets picked up by the Brotherhood of Steel or something.
Im willing to bet it’ll be a feature in Fallout 5 honestly. Brian Virgil and Deacon (probably lying) are examples of Super Mutants and Ghouls that have inexplicably “become human” again. I imagine that reversing Super Mutantcy will require some Anti-Fev serum (very dumb concept but whatever). “Reversing” Ghoulification will probably be a skin graft procedure at a special doctor (maybe not even a special doctor seeing as how literally any commonwealth settler shmuck or prototype synth can just perform flawless plastic surgery and vocal chord changing apparently).
it would make the game a lot easier

-feral ghouls become passive
and probably more buffs that I can't remember
@@bigboss4178 it wouldn't be that difficult to come up with drawbacks to being a ghoul. Stimpaks/drugs are less effective, different levels of radiation start turning you more feral giving you debuffs to certain stats, ostracization from certain vendors who are non-ghoul friendly. Those are just three off the top of my head.

@@uberd3323 I mean in the Van Buren design document they were going to allow players to play as a Ghoul or a SM if they wished. Both having many fairly balanced pros and cons
I’m just happy that you seem to know what you’re talking about when it comes to gear and guns!
Just wanted to point out that you missed checking out A LOT in the underground hideout, there are some more and pretty big rooms, for example a vault with a bunch of panels that automatically sort and display all the vanilla weapons, plus some more for any mod/favorite guns and a gun range with customizable targets. If anyone is gonna try it out, theres a couple of long hallways for displaying armors and PAs that also works automatically (just remember to interact with the stone head decorations on the walls)
Aside from that, Great video as allways :)

Surprisingly the horrors of the deep fog wendigo is actually less accurate to the legends than the fallout 76 wendigo
The fallout 76 one is just a guy who changed because of consuming human flesh
The horrors of the deep fog looks like the pop culture interpretation with the deer skull which is never actually mentioned in the legends
Depends on which interpretation you go by but yes there is no evidence that the indigenous people depicted the Wendigo wearing a deer skull

@@Chaplain_Asmodai It's all about how the stories traveled through the lands of different people and slowly changed with each culture. In this case, by the end they were sometimes believed to have fur, to have a deer/doe skull, to be a shapeshifter, to be a human who gave into feasting upon flesh, was a disease caught from cannibalism, and more that I don't remember. The more interpretations there are, the more confusing a cryptid/monster becomes, and the more everyone will have differing ideas of them.
Yup. Apparently the Wendigo as depicted with the deer skull was just an artist's interpretation. The pale, emaciated humanoid depicted in 76 and Until Dawn are more accurate according to natives familiar with the legends.
@@jonnyg9865 It's generally more accurate in the older stories. Essentially a pale human with lanky arms, is on all fours, have a insatiable appetite for human flesh, and somehow are strong as hell. It might have been a movie interpretation but the reason they're so skinny and always hungry is that their soul has been taken by an entity or a God, and so whenever they feed, they don't actually get fed, rather everything goes to the entity with their soul, and so they eventually turn more and more primal because of how hungry they are? It's all very convoluted and this is probably one of millions of interpretations

I have some weird error with dynamic ghoulification where I started turning when I didn't have any rads. Got shot with a radium rifle. Cured it immediately but it didn't stop the change. Possibly related, but every time I log into the game I have radiation damage that follows me everywhere, a steady 2 rads a second until I fast travel. I'm going to finish maxing out all my stats and then try that dungeon again. It was modded, so not important until later in the game.

Backpack one is interesting.. if only wasnt so modern and clean.. im looking for that mod that move hands when picking items or such making you feel you are picking them but not sure name. And Im trying change piper but her face keep get reverted or morphed -.-. I have try with creation kit cause dont know how to use xedit (not that I know much CK) but the damn program refuse to work properly, preview window bug and such *sigh*

The Ghoulification mod is cool but it isn't the first. Advanced Needs 2 by Flashy(JoeR) first introduced it several years ago.

How do you get the scope positioned so far away from your "eye"? The reason I ask is because I installed the Cheytac intervention mod but the scope picture sits really close to my characters eye meaning I don't get any peripheral vision like you do here.

My headcanon that is completely unsupported by the lore is that all of the modern day tactical gear and weapons were still invented in the world of pre war fallout and are super retro in game
Alot is actually supported. P90, G11, M16, M4, etc. Have all been in previous games. Even alot of different tactical type gear that mimic real life equipment exist all over the place in the lore. These weapons are less common though as many were introduced in the fallout timeline as they were in ours, so by 2077 many of "our" modern day weapons were nearing 100 years old and had been replaced or phased out by other weapons for potentially numerous in universe reasons. Most notably cost effectiveness due to the economic conditions of the fallout world.
Hey how did you fix the invisible arm for the elite riot gear? Im on Xbox and have been trying to find a fix. It's one of my favorite armors and the invisible left arm in first person is really an issue for me.
