I enjoyed the new Spiderman, for what it is. But I'm not happy with the Stark "inventing" Spiderman. Yes they evetually met(Spiderman was well established)and Tony did give him a new costume, but the original classic one was made by Peter.

Spider-Man being in the MCU is a really big deal. This is why you need Iron Man to appear in the marketing of Homecoming. To make it clear to clueless fools like Dunst that this isn't just another simple typical reboot.

I'm really disappointed with it because Tony is MAKING Peter into who he is. He's helping with missions, he's giving him his suit and gadgets and to me that kind of craps on who Peter was since he did all of that stuff by himself. And again, I know we haven't seen the movie yet, but I will be very disappointed if they give Tony a bunch of Ben's lines. Tony should of course be in the movie but I fear he's going to take up a lot of Peter's screentime.
xxwhispersxx stole the words right outta my mouth. I love the relationship between stark and pete, but peter is a genius. And tony making him everything and hand holding him is my only issue with the movie rn.
Since this movie is done by Marvel instead of Sony, they obviously want to have some experienced superhero to mentor him. Keeping in mind that Peter had already started his "neighbourhood hero" career before Tony came into the picture, and Tony's sole purpose in the movie is to be his mentor but his approach to it is slightly different since he has resources. Also, if you seen the other trailers, Tony did not want Peter to fight Vulture and therefore confiscated his suit. Because of this Peter has to go about on his own, so Stark technically doesn't spoonfeed him throughout the entire thing. But, I do agree I mean what's the point of Peter being a genius when it doesn't really affect his work as Spiderman. I love this new take at Spiderman though, from the casting to the storyline, seems more relatable and true to the comics I guess.

They would always jump right into the pretty girls falling in love with Peter but in homecoming they didn't go straight to it they took time to tell the love story of a teenage boy falling in love and then things not working out and then he finds a person who actually fits his character.(far from home)

I agree with your statement that Sony is trying to attempt to make a good Spider-Man movie for everyone, both old and new generations, but they would still milking it and that might not necessarily be a bad thing because every company loves profit and it could provide an incentive to make an even better movie than Homecoming one and do more creative collaborations with Marvel Studios.
I'm gonna be *honest* all actors for MJ have constantly sucked shit, mainly because in all the films they play in they are either completely startled or screaming because the antagonist has kidnapped them with ease.

Dunst has a point about them just using the films to make money... Spidey's appearance in Civil War could've been a pleasant surprise, but they gave it away before the film even came out by revealing he was gonna be in it - because they knew that by announcing his appearance would attract more and more people and make them more money. They didn't need to considering the amount of star power that film already had.
She was in the original Jumanji film too, The Virgin Diaries, Two Faces Of January, and Melancholia. To be honest the Sam Raimi Spiderman films were my favorite too. I love Kirstan and her films.

Tom Holland is realistically most like Peter Parker from the comics than T.McGuire and A. Garfield, while Kirsten Dunst is the LEAST like the Mary Jane Watson in looks and acting of the comics. The only thing she had going for her that the director could use to portray MJW was simply her "curves" is all. She can filled a T-Shirt enough to semi-passed in that iconic role from the neck-down, but that's truthfully all Dunst had going for her for the part. The smaller eyes, facial cheekbones of Dunst and the thin lips were already working against her for that iconic part of the spidey comics. Dunst did a 4-5 out of ten in portraying MJW, imho.
They just didn't have enough time nor money to audition a more perfect match for the "MJ Watson" role back then.

There has never been a good interpretation of MJ other than the Spectacular Spiderman MJ. Raimi's MJ was whiny, melodramatic, too serious and annoying while MCU Michelle Jones is that "I'm not like other girls" stereotype with the aloof loner girl reading a book and saying whatever she wants which is just not MJ. Spectacular Spiderman's MJ captured the confident sassy party girl personality of her as well as her caring and down to earth nature in just two seasons.

An earlier version of LIttle Woman had Elizabeth Taylor as Amy and at least a couple other versions of the movie exist.

Spider-man homecoming didn't feel like a spider-man movie until the last 30 minutes or so. Having Iron Man as presence in the plot sort of took a lot of the drama and tension in the story IMO. Spider-man 1 & 2 are still the best moves of the series.
