Even before Disney and Marvel Studios had worked with Sony to bring Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a popular fan theory about Iron Man 2 (2010) was that Peter Parker was the little boy in an Iron Man mask who stands up to a killer robot and is saved by Tony Stark. Tom Holland loved this idea so much that he asked Kevin Feige for permission to confirm this idea as official, and Feige agreed.

I personally always had an interest in Iron Man 2 ( This made me love it more :3 ). I mean, the first movie mostly showed how I believe he usually wants people to think of him. The second movie shows he's like everyone else, he can get scared, have anxiety. In other words, he can have problems to. That's what I like about it, or any other superhero movie in the MCU. Marvel makes it obvious that all their hero's aren't perfect, that their human, and that they have phisical, emotional, and sometimes even mental problems that ordinary people have.
The fact that they have the same dress sense makes it even better

I found Iron Man 2 very interesting and fascinating. Great believable villains who are also funny but not in a slapstick way. You could really buy into those villains. It was done in a different format than the first movie. Whereas I found Avengers 2 had the same format as Avengers 1. Iron Man 2 shared more story of Tony Stark's dad. It showed his interesting alcoholic behavior while in the Iron Man suit. The movie held my interest with the details as it went going into many themes.

Every MCU movie, except for GOTG Vol 2, have been taking place the same time as us.
So in Civil War Peter was 15 or 16 years old and Iron-Man 2 takes place in 2010 which was 6 years before. Which would make li'l Peter 9 or 10. So it could work out.
Iron Man 2 came out 7 years ago in 2010, and Peter is suppose to be 16 years old in 2017. So in Iron Man 2 he would be 9 years old

Justin Hammer was one of the best parts of that movie. I'm glad we've seen his Hammer weapons show up in the Netflix shows. Since Stark got out of weapons manufacturing Hammer tech is quite possibly the world's number 1 arms dealer. All Justin Hammer needs to do now is get out of the prison he was sharing with Luke Cage and Trevor Slattery.

This is exciting news. I remember this hearing about this. It all makes sense now.
As much as I love these little twists, I hope the filmmakers don't get too caught up with it. Continuity is only so important... if things don't add up perfectly, that shouldn't matter as long as the story is good. Many's the time I've seen a movie or TV show marred by too much ret-con.
I doubt it was meant to be Peter when the IM2 was made, because Marvel Studios didn't own the character yet. My guess is that some writer years later thought, "Hey, what if that kid Tony saved in 2 was actually... wait for it... PETER PARKER?!"
Anyway, this revelation is pretty pointless, just a neat little "oh, well isn't that interesting" moment that doesn't mean anything. UNLESS, for instance, it turns out that Tony was keeping tabs on Peter all along, maybe had something to do with Peter getting his powers. One wonders how Tony knew Sipder-Man's identity and apartment (I mean, yeah, he's Stark, so he can use his super-brain and tech to probably find anybody, but still). Maybe he knew Peter was at the convention and made a point to keep an eye on and protect him. Maybe they're... RELATED? Hmmm...? Nah...

He regularly made fun of them, attacked them for no good reason when they met. He never asked to join the Avengers, they offered. He didn't take shit from them. Once they doubted him, he refused their offer and tried to storm off. At least in the original comics.

If you compare the one in iron man 2 and civil war it’s the same jacket as it looks in this video so he was a kid and that’s why he’s a fan of tony stark.
The only thing that makes that sound implausible to me is that neither Parker or Aunt May mention Stark saving his life. Further, Aunt May stated she found Stark annoying and full of himself, which wouldn't have been weird had she said something like, "Ya know, I'm grateful that he saved your life, Peter, but he's just always rubbed me the wrong way."
I thought about this a LONG time ago. I dunno why I thought I was the only one. Lol.
I wish they reference this during when they first met on civil war or spiderman homecoming

I mean it is plausible it's just I find it weird how they never talked about it. Especially when they first met. But I guess it explains how he was keeping tabs on him and discovering he was spiderman.
