Also, why do these movies always feel the need to crowbar a political message in? The lengthy conversation of the father with the son about how cops will likely profile you? Come on. Every job has a few bad apples.
The point of that conversation was because it is a real conversation that is had in those instances, was it great no but it was real. It wasn't shoe horning as a black man I understood WHY it was in there is just wish that scene was directed better- Matt
All art is political. All art is created in the presence of shifting political movements in the world. In a film where the point was to show that all kinds of life can exist in the same spot and where the very idea of living is a shared experience, showing a very real kind of conversation these families can have is perfectly normal for this. This speaks more to what you don’t want to hear or acknowledge than it does the content or quality of the film.
Hello from Canada. An intelligent and positive film is reason to celebrate these days.
And honestly, that's why we were trying not to tear it apart. It has its merits and it took a big swing.
If a film gets finished, that’s reason to celebrate. The quality of the product, on the other hand, is another story.
I saw Madame Web. I won’t be seeing this. Thanks for the review
No problem thanks for tuning in.
Fair enough!
I knew shit movie and anora would be so bad from the ig trailers
Haven't seen Anora, can't comment on that and yeah the trailers weren't great but the concept was interesting enough
Sorry I disagree, the deaging is perfect on ALL of them.
Glad you feel that way, sorry we don't
Wish I felt the same!

LMAO there’s no way you get through life thinking like this fam?
Lol if you think that scene was saying all cops are bad you're poisoned against any discussion of the reality
