That gave me the brow lift of the century...and the shivers up and down my spine - not in a good way, though😂😂
I really want to find the fabric your top is made out of, if not the shirt itself! What was it called? I'm freaking out every time I see you wear it! It's so high fashion, whilst keeping with my emo/punk black wardrobe (Also happen to be a silver/platinum blonde as well XD). I live in Scotland, so I can probably find the store in the uk! So gorgeous darling, GORGEOUS! Google image search has failed me >.
And Venus d lite was never heard from again
@@BaeAmorei love that top too! I definitely had something like that in the early 2000s and a long winter coat that looked the same too, but I can't describe that the material is or how they get it to look that way! It's like a mixture of different fabrics. I hope she responds to your comment though with the brand of the shirt now so I can investigate and find out what it's made out of because I'm so curious now! I also have to look for that coat..i might still have it if not here than at my mom's house.
"My wife is a transexual satan worshipper" I'm so glad I wasn't drinking anything when you just threw that in there 😂
Isn’t it shockingly good 💀💀💀💀
May I ask where said clip is from?
@@cassiebelmont993obv it’s a clip of luxeria’s husband talking about her/j
One of these days, I'll figure out how to make sound clips wearable like a locket.
I wasn't looking at the screen and I thought someone on the show had said that 💀
Talking breast tissue - I am a cis male, and I have had gynecomastia surgery to remove excess breast tissue. So we definitely have that. 😂
Isn’t it proposterous for a doctor to say!?
Daddy’s got breasts ✨
I'm so glad you had the medical help you required. I was horrified at his comments about breast tissue. I hope everything healed well for you and you are happy x
I'm a trans guy, and my top surgery surgeon purposely left a small amount of breast tissue on my chest to make it look better, and it was a good choice, because the result is very good. This should also tell that men have breast tissue 😂
I had a friend get skin lift all over after weight loss. He had above average volume of breast tissue for a man, but chose not to have it removed. It doesn't look bad, just like fluffy pecs.
As someone with enormous pendulous breasts, I hate hearing about men's opinions or likes and dislikes when it comes to my body. I can't help the way my body is shaped and I am so tired of my whole person being reduced to the size of my breasts. I get way more sexualized than my peers with small breasts, they are what they are and I can't change it. I like it the way it is, I don't want to change myself. I want to change the way others feel entitled to talk about my breasts.
Right?! It gets so old so fast. And it is allways never in moments were it would be appropriate.
i have a natural G cup and my mom is a natural L, ill never get how people think my boobs have anything to do with my personality, its not like we get to choose big small or average its just how they grow.
ive gone on such a wild self-acceptance journey thus far (that im not done with!) and my boobs played a big role. i wish that people would stop and think about the humans attached to the body parts that theyre commenting on.
I'm a trans man, still have pretty big ones hanging off my chest. I have been on T for almost 18 years, but I just can't afford top surgery. It sucks.
Before I knew what it meant to be trans, that's the only thing guys would look at on me as well. Shallow people!!
I feel the same, but at the same time, there is a problem with many adult entertainers deliberately getting huge breast enhancements to play into the stereotype and perpetuate it. It's so frustrating and a reason I'm critical of the plastic surgery industry and related businesses.
The AUDACITY of a doctor to tell their patient to shut up when they wake up during surgery?!?!? I can't imagine how she must've felt waking up...I'd be irate!!
So I woke up during my ACL surgery ( on my right knee). I heard the doctor talking to the nurse about his children, and I said “ I won’t be able to chase mine after this…” and he slowly looks up and he sees I am now sitting up and I have looked at my right leg…TERROR! The doc had a hand saw, there were these spikes at three points on my leg: one in my thigh top, one in my lower leg, and the last was in my thigh right side….AND A DOCTOR WAS HOLD THE TWO IN MY THIGH like he was skiing! I started screaming and my doctor screams at the anesthesiologist “Put her out! Put her out right now!” Now they give you propefal, a drug to put you into twilight sleep and is designed so that you don’t remember anything….I am in the 1% of people this drug doesn’t work on🤦🏽♀️ In the recovery room I told the nurse I want to see my doctor, she said he is still a little shaken up as he has NEVER had a patient wake up on him during surgery. I had three c-sections and was awake for them so🤨 He comes in and he apologized to me. He says I should have been under general anesthesia, he didn’t know that I was immune to propefal. I told him I was sorry for screaming, my skin was peeled back like a banana and I could see my bones, I just lost it 😔 He said my reaction to what I saw was normal, so no need for me to apologize. He advised me to tell the next doctor that may have to do same day surgery on me that I MUST be under general anesthesia.
Jump 4 years later I needed foot surgery. I had nerve damage in my big toe due to a bunion pushing into the big toe. I told Dr. Nippert what Dr Castis told me to say and Dr. Nippert laughed at my story, said it was the drugs and he would do the surgery under twilight sedation. I had to have it done, it was too painful to walk and so I went forward with it hoping the first wake up was a fluke. It wasn’t. 🥺🤦🏽♀️ Again I woke up. Dr. Nippert was talking about eating a steak dinner when he got home. The nurse says she is having a tuna fish salad, as she is still on duty…I say “I’m having soup because I know I will be nauseous after this.” I didn’t sit up this time, no yelling. Dr. Nippert says “ That’s great Dee. I gonna switch to general anesthesia now okay?” I said “ Okay, but I did tell you no twilight……” The anesthesiologist put the cup over my face, tells me I have beautiful eyes and to count backward from 100. My throat hurt when I woke up, but that is from the tube, and Dr, Nippert was looking at my chart sees I’m awake, and says “ You scared the shit out of me young lady. But you were right about your sedation. I already put in your record for your right foot that we need general anesthesia.” I just smiled at him and went back to sleep. My husband told me after I was home that he, Dr. Nippert was really freaked out when I started talking about soup 😂 I could have sued both of these Drs for malpractice, but I didn’t because they were just as scared as I was 🤷🏽♀️ I had neck and back surgery ( I’m a mess I know) and they listened to me and went with general anesthesia. It really is terrifying. I still have nightmares about seeing my knee in the condition it was. 😔
@Desaundrea this was a wild ride of a comment!
@@Desaundreathe 2nd Dr you might have been able to sue but probably not the first. When you go under surgery you sign a bunch of waivers to the doctor and the hospital. It basically annuls them from anything like that and here’s where it comes in for the first Dr. if they don’t know about it. I would assume after the first time (and he would have to or one of his staff in the hospital or the anaesthesiologist) to write in your medical records that you have issues with certain medications. The 2nd Dr however did have a responsibility however when you told him to take it seriously. This happens rarely but it’s known to happen and it can cause severe trauma to patients and drs. Some people have never got over it so I’m really sorry you had to go through it, twice. I wish Drs were take patients more seriously. I think in particular they tend to take female patients less seriously, they see us as being emotional and hypochondriacs. Either way this was extremely traumatic and at least the first Dr apologised in person and seemed concerned for you. He seemed ok. Please try to stay out of surgery. I’m concerned for you. I also think you would write a great book. This is a pretty unique experience.
@@Dominique_99 🙏🏽 For sure my husband wanted to sue Dr. Nippert as he had been notified, but I just wanted to leave it where it was. I am not in surgery frequently, but I was in 2 car accidents that I was the passenger and my spouse was driving but we were hit. Hence the neck and back surgery. I haven’t been “ Under The Knife” for many years, so no need to worry 😅 I don’t look forward to anymore surgeries. I have been putting off hip replacement. I was born with a congenital hip disorder that has started affecting me at 49 years old 🤦🏽♀️ Parents knew and never took the steps to correct it before I grew up 😒 They want me in for surgery and I keep saying NO. My leg will have to fall off before I even consider it! Plus I have a 3 year old grandson to chase so I’m not motivated to get it done.
I love that the "are you breathing??" panic with pet owners is pretty universal. 😂
😂Oh my dog is funny. He sometimes snores Luke a freight train or is quiet as a mouse when he sleeps. So sometimes I'll be like "Are you good" get up close and then he does the loudest snore just to make me jump
When my cat is outside lying in the sun, I usually have to go check.
When I was 9, I was bitten by a dog and had to have surgery to repair the damage. I woke up during the procedure, and although I couldn't feel anything, it was very scary. I had nightmares for years about it. When I had to have my appendix out when I was 21, I started panicking about potentially waking up again. The nurse was very sweet and gave me something to calm me down, but I was still crying when they took me into the operating room. The last thing the doctor said before I passed out was "Stop acting like a baby". I still have scars from the dog bite and would like to see if they could be corrected, but the combined trauma of waking up and then being ridiculed for being afraid of surgery have held me back from it.
How horrible! Such awful bedside manner from that doctor!
I'm seriously traumatised by doctors/medical stuff as well.
I've had really bad luck with doctors, it's crazy! Luckily the physical damage is not huge.
But for a while I had panic attacks in any place that has those white corridors and chairs for waiting. I'm pretty OK now and also have grown a thicker skin - which is a good thing because weird sh*t *keeps on happening* to me 😵💫
A rather recent one was a small procedure that was botched, where I told the doctor he had basically "missed the target". The problem was with my leg. He just announced "I have healed you!" and _ordered_ me to *DANCE* 😐 "Now DANCE! DANCE!" ...With the leg that he had essentially done nothing to. I had no other choice than to leave for home ...Except I came back 10 minutes later with a heavily bleeding leg. Then went to another doctor the next day to fix the original issue, because I had been right about him missing/messing up.
At this point I've gotten so used to this sh*t, I pretty much laugh such experiences off.
But I've just realized I probably have a deeper sort of compiled trauma, that I haven't realized before now, that has been really really damaging to my life and mental health for 15-20 years now. Mostly from the feelings of having no agency over what happens to me.
And ofcourse the lack of trust that I'm listened to ant that I actually get any help does now make me a lot more likely to NOT seek medical help when I need it.
Same crap with my dog as well! I recently paid 2 x 500 euros for absolutely zero help with the dogs problem.
It’s the only thing I can do, but right now I am sending that doctor some seriously nasty vibes from my brain over to his/hers.
My brother had issues when he was 11, had a baseball go full force into his face and busted his lip so bad he needed stitches. They tried local anesthetic but it wasn't enough and they had to put him under. Made him so scared to get his lip fixed at 16 since there was a horrible scar on his lip. Needed plastic surgery to fix it and he was so nervous but he got it fixed up really well. You can barely tell now he had all that done but I also have had good and horrible surgeons with all this.
There is a doctor who has also a youtube channel (or was on a tv show thats now on youtube) who does a lot of procedures with local anestetics, as long as it's safe enough, for patients who have experienced trauma or are really afraid of it. I'll try to find it and post a video title here. Maybe a surgeon near you does something like this ❤
I've lost almost 120lbs over the past two years and I'm finally starting my plastic surgery journey. I'm also resolutely childfree. I've told my surgeon if he ever calls it a "Mommy Makeover" he owes me money. The only people who call me mommy have pay for the privilege 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Congratulations! You're amazing!
@@Cove_Blue Thank you. It's been a long process but I have zero regrets! 🥰

Yes that’s exactly correct! 😂
I can't remember her. Does she ever look like Madonna?
@@NoThanks-K ooh ok that makes sense. I don't remember there even being a Madonna impersonator but to be fair there's been so many queens it's hard to remember all of them anyway.

lots of seriousness happening on this day girlies but the way Saaphyri said "the best part of comin to the doctor is eatin up all their cookies" was so precious :') really shows how just a small thing like a cookie can make painful things a little better!
Omg, I have a bad experience about your question of looking at your pet and wondering if they're alive 😅
My ESA cat, Chloe was old as dirt. I have no idea how old because she was basically an adult when I got her from what I could tell, and then she lived with me for almost 20 years. She had fibrosarcoma cancer and we got one lump removed, but I was warned they can grow inside the lungs, and she also started developing dementia. Needless to say, I was expecting her passing but dreading it. One day, I couldn't find her and normally she comes when she hears food. The longer I called, the more anxious I got and then I found her curled up under the couch. I was a little relieved but the more I stared, the more I realized I couldn't see her breathing. Scared, I couldn't look at her, I was pounding on the floor, calling for her, bargaining with her to wake up and come out and then I started accepting she was gone and bawled for an hour before calling my mom and asking her to help me take her body to the vet and while I was sobbing and announcing the news to mom, I see something in the corner of my eye and it's Chloe strolling passed me to drink some water. I SCREAMED. I could practically feel 10 years come off my life and I yelled at her "you asshole! You made me think you were dead for an hour!!" 😂😅 that was one of her final pranks on me, and damn.. she got me so good
Omg! 😂😭
My cat who was slowly dying of thyroid and kidney problems did exactly the same thing to me. I actually dragged her out from under the bed, screaming her name and sobbing. Then she woke up and gave me that look cats give you. She was just really fast asleep.
The breast tissue story, reminds me of someone who brought their male dog in, worried about the growths on his stomach, yes, they were nipples 😂 (bless him for caring enough to bring his dog in)
Oh god. I did that with my cat 🤭 not my dog. I had never had cats lol
@@teri2466we prefer owners who care ❤ hehe
My favorite is people with male dogs not knowing that there is the bulbis glandis that swells when the dog gets “excited”
I was so curious about the surgeon who had been k'lled, so I googled. DISCLAIMER: i do not know if this is the right story/person, but this is what I found in a 2002 NY Times article:
Mr. Chavis, whose medical license was revoked five years ago for malpractice, was fatally shot as he returned to his car after buying an ice cream cone in Hawthorne, a suburb of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said. Investigators theorized that three men had tried to hijack Mr. Chavis's car but fled without it. Mr. Chavis lived in Inglewood, Calif. ... After graduation, Dr. Chavis returned to Los Angeles as an obstetrician and gynecologist ...
By 1996, Dr. Chavis was using liposuction to help women lose weight after giving birth. He was accused of mistreating eight liposuction patients, one of whom died. In 1998, the Medical Board of California revoked his license for ''gross negligence, incompetence and repeated negligent acts.''
Yep. That's him. He was a complete scumbag, who claimed he was a "hero's to the "minorities" AFTER killing Ng a patient through neglect, as well as nearly killing other patients as well.
He shouldn't have been in medical school in the first place. There was a big case about it years earlier.
Wow. Thanks for doing that.
I found the same info, however Dr. Chavis had his licensed revoked and died years before Saaphyri went on reality TV. If he is the doctor she is talking about there's two options, either she had surgery before becoming famous or she lied about being his patient.
@@aylishoconaill6710why would she lie about that. pretty likely it was an old surgery. most ppl that have surgery (especially dodgy surgery!!) aren’t famous and likely have dodgy surgery due to a lack of resources
@@miraza. I didn't say she lied for sure, I just pointed out that there are some details than don't add up. Chavis licensed was suspended in June 1997, when Saaphyri was 17. Also, Dr. Chavis was a renowned physician in the black community. The fact that his license was revoked doesn't mean that he was a back alley surgeon, just a bad one. Specially since he was an OB/GYN, not a plastic surgeon. He was sketchy for sure, and exists the possibility that he performed surgery on Saaphyri when she was a minor; it would add up with Saaphyri's version, but Saaphyri said she did it because she felt pressured by the environment of reality TV, when she wasn't known at all. That why I said that it was and option that she lied, not that she is a liar.

Yes! I look at my pets all the time and think, “are you still breathing?!” and then feel immense relief when I see that they in fact are. It’s normal. We love our pets!
As a cis male who paid an obscene amount of money for gyno surgery; yes, men have breast tissue. (Its just usually quite small) men can even lactate and produce milk.
Gynaecomastia is fairly common and I wish there wasn't so much stigma around it. I'm glad you were able to get a corrective procedure but sorry that it cost you so much. Really, it should be funded by Medicare :(
The Pet-Breathing-Check.. is too relatable.. have to check right away 😂
Surgery horror story: my partner is 6"6' and when he was younger had to have stomach surgery. They didn't give him quite enough anaesthetic for his size, and he woke up during surgery, as they were prodding things through his body in to his stomach and taking scrapings from it. But he couldn't move or speak, he just had to endure the worst pain ever. It was a long time ago so he laughs it off but it makes me die inside thinking about it! And I can't believe he didn't tell anyone afterwards! They should be told so that someone else massive doesn't have to go through the same thing!
Interestingly, anaesthetic can fail because (1) the person is larger than average, (2) they have red hair. I'm not joking! The gene that causes red hair also interacts weirdly with anaesthetic so redheads need a higher dose to avoid waking up during the procedure! :O
@@ExhaustedOwlYep! I'm a redhead and everytime i've had dental work done, I have to have 3 times the amount of anaesthetic and I still feel a fair amount of pain. It sucks! I bruise like crazy too but the upside is, I heal relatively quickly.
that's horrible, like torture
@@ExhaustedOwlyes I'm a red head and I had a few fillings years ago and had no idea the injection pain relief was supposed to completely numb you. Thankfully I hadn't had any surgeries before that so I knew for future 😅
I’m also on team obsessively and anxiously check that the dog is still breathing. I spent 15 years 6 months and 3 days watching my eldest doggo, Remy, inhale and exhale until he crossed the rainbow bridge last year and I had a complete mental breakdown after his chest stopped moving. You’re not alone in the anxious dog mama club and it doesn’t really get easier, just be sure cherish your little Biccy Fidgetbum everyday.
My condolences. It's such an excruciating experience saying goodbye to our furry friends. It's just a little over a year since my tortie girl passed and there are times where I'm still acutely aware of they day she left this world. It's harsh.
We all stand together in this grieving process.💛
The doc she's talking about is Dr. Patrick Chavis, he died during a car jacking gone wrong. But his whole story is really crazy, a wild read for sure. (He was sued for malpractice 27 times).
Oh my goodness! Perhaps an exposé 👀
I thought she was talking about a guy who had been on the show that is no longer alive and supposedly died by suicide a few years after the episode 😅
But that’s also really wild that a Dr died too!
@@avrielpietsch Luxeria was. I think Slevin11 is talking about Saaphyr's surgeon who was unalived.

I was having a cardiac ablation and woke up during. I had to tell the team “I’m having an Afib”. The nurse assigned to me was like “no, that’s us” and the surgeon was like “no that’s an Afib” and I was put to sleep right after 😂
I ended up having 6 afibs during the procedure and now I’m happily on arrhythmia meds.
But still lol

ok have you heard of a show called Lookalike? they would take someone who looked like a celebrity and give them a makeover (in the same way as 10 years younger, new wardrobe, haircut & makeup) to look more like the celebrity. I haven't thought about it in AGES so I can't remember how unhinged it is lol
OMG I've seen it too
Sounds relatively benign. Dressing up as a famous person is fun, and being dressed up as one with costumes, make up etc you could never affort yourself is even better.

As a drag performer, I will say performers are a spectrum. We defy being boxed into any single type. As creatures of creativity, we are an ever flowing act of creation in, and out of drag.
Dr. Dubrow owning it was adorable.
I had a breast reduction in 2015. My husband was in the US Marine Corps, and insurance covered the reduction (I am only 5ft tall, around 125lbs, and I was in a 32J). Insurance however did not cover a lift or implants of any type. I lost 34 pounds of weight in just breast tissue. I had a baby the next year, and I am still saving now for a lift.

It was one of those funny Google memories and quite cute 😂💀
I want to clarify that Dr. Dubrow _didn't_ say or suggest that "men don't have breast tissue" like that comment stated from the last episode you reacted to... he said that the person they were operating on had no breast tissue and in the cut-away (or what they showed of it) said how men don't have the usual kind of coverage over the implant
Oh my god, I swear the number of times I look over at my cats and just stare to make sure they're breathing...it's probably way more frequently than is healthy lol
The Madonna nose consultation was actually really wholesome. It was so nice to see the surgeons say "this feature is already great, and a procedure will not only not be what you ultimately want while performing, but it will also detract from your daily appearance.

That was a great reaction!
Wow, that rhinoplasty result is absolutely stunning! I’m also so glad that she went to a surgeon with the relevant ethnic expertise. There’s so much cultural history behind nose shapes! It always makes me sad when people feel pressured to erase their ancestral features to conform to Eurocentric beauty norms. Everyone’s free to make their own decisions, of course, and if the person is happy with their results, that’s what matter most. I just always appreciate the broadening of ideas of beauty. A less diverse world is so boring!

My rabbit is in his twilight years now, and anytime I walk past his bed and he has bunny flopped on his side for a snooze, I have a heart attack. I think he does it on purpose just to fuck with me.
One of my dogs likes to sleep in really awkward positions at the bottom of the stairs so he looks like he's fallen and broken his neck but huskies are just like that. The other one is more creative in giving me a panic attack. One time she stepped in some broken blusher and got bright red streaks all over her white fur. Another time she collapsed on the floor screaming and refusing to move because she got poop on her fur after doing her business in the park.
A friend of mine had breast reduction surgery years ago. She was very happy with the results and was so much more comfortable. After a few months of healing discovered that one of her nipples had been put on sideways. She only realised when she tried to put her nipple piercing back in and it was facing straight up. Not exactly botched but a very funny story 😂
That sounds like a botch to me! The surgeons should definitely have made sure that the nips were the right way up, yowza. Doctors can get into serious trouble for making incisions through tattoos, so there's probably legal grounds in your friend's case.
Love this series on your chanel, Lux! Let's all get a browlift from Dr. Dubrowlift, put daytime tweed/an evening chiffon on and attend a pageant 🤣
I'm almost positive the doctor she was talking about in the beginning was Dr. Patrick Chavis.
LUXERIA ACKNOWLEDGED MY COMMENT EXCUSE ME WHILE I DIE NOW!!!!
My mom woke up under surgery in the mid 70's, as they were cleaning out her armpits with a sharp brush, bc they was filled with clusters of huge abcesses they needed to remove - my mom couldn't rest her arms and were forced to hold them up with her elbows outwards in line with her collar bone, bc of the abcesses being so freakin' huge. She couldn't move, couldn't scream, and felt the worst part of the surgery for over an hour. She told me it was a 'Hellish experiance', that traumatized her for life. She's now 67, and have severe anxiety whenever she needs an operation and has to be put to sleep. Since her intestinal cancer diagnosis about a month ago, she is now awaiting two major surgeries in a row, just within the next two weeks; one to remove half her liver, as the cancer has spread to her liver and lungs, before they can remove most of her large intestine. She is terrified to potentially wake up during the surgery, and I can't blame her for being scared shitless. PS, we will overcome this - and if not, I will meet her again when I myself go Home again one day. It's not death we are most scared of, it's the fact that she might suffer beforehand that's worse to think about. We are doing the most with the time we've got left, making most of each day, of each moment. And though her prognosis is only about 2% survival rate, we will never give up hoping for better days ahead, with as little pain as medically possible.
We don't understand how some people are risking they're lives getting plastic surgery if they medically don't need to, and without taking a psychological assesment beforehand to teach a person to love themselves no matter what - that miracles seldom happens - and that one freak accident seldom comes alone. Some ppl need the surgon to tell them 'NO!!', as to not expose the patient to further, unnessecary risks.
My fiancée's cis male cousin was just diagnosed with breast cancer. Also, one of my best friends just went for her first mammogram, they found stage 2 breast cancer. She didn't feel any symptoms, so it's good that she went!
Pleeease do Charm School your commentary is everything 😂
when having nose surgery there is a section in the form you fill out as a patient (i was one) that asks if you are okay having the person with you (generally a family member or partner) to make a last min decision that the dr didn't think they were going to face during surgery... that's why its important to tell people around you what it is you want and don't want.
Oh my god, you reacting to any of the early aughts vh1 shows, especially Charm School would give me LIFE, water my crops, and clear my skin.
Did you know Dr Dubrow has a trans son? I only just found out when reading an article about celebrities with trans kids. Also his eldest daughter is bi, and his youngest daughter is gay. He seems really proud and supportive of his 3 queer kids which is lovely to read.
Aww I remember Saaphyri, good for her. Also I had similarly sized areolae before top surgery and my response was also "omg they're so small now" afterwards, I really struggled with them being so huge before. Dysphoria only made it worse.
Roly almost gave up your announcement yesterday. So curious! 😂
Well we got some of it because he was so excited 😂
Lmaooo I was just about to comment this 🤣🤣
Madonna doesn't even look like Madonna anymore 😂 now what is he going to do? Lol
yeah, she does 🙄 and she looks great... can we retire this already?
Anyone else not expecting this to turn into a true crime show!? 😂
The announcement: Luxeria has become a cage fighter because she loves bruise tones 😂
I hope my surgeon loves bruise tones. I've tried to warn her that I bruise like a peach but I get the impression she thinks I'm just being dramatic. I get full on black bruising when the dog paws me, I'm gonna look like I've been hit by a truck after I have hernia surgery.
Luxeria is so pretty. Every tune I’m shook, she’s just so freaking gorgeous and funny. A total queen all round.
18:57 the Ariana song popping back in KILLED ME. I CACKLED LIKE A WITCH. Bless you Luxeria. 🙏
Drag is a gateway: to acting, to comedy, to makeup, to fashion, to dance, to music, and the last 10% it’s a gateway to trans 🏳️⚧️
Perhaps "the last 10%" could be alternately conveyed as.. "Drag as Stepping Stone towards accepting ones Trans identity" or "Drag may be a path that allows for self exploration & expression. For some this can be a way to access an intrinsic part of oneself." 🙃 Fin
@@Van_Rattus yeah that basically. Season 1 of Drag Race had a contestant that realized she was trans. Season 2 or 3 of Queer Eye had a trans man who realized he was trans through doing drag. So there is a statistic percentage of people who do make that jump. But it’s like anything. 10% of people that get into baseball become professionals/experts/careers. 10% of people that try makeup are makeup artists. 10% of people that go through Biology Classes in uni want to be Biologists… Etc etc etc…….
Alternatively: only 5-10% of trans people have experience with drag 🤷 5-10% of actors have experience with drag. 5-10% of comedians have experience with drag.
@@OhSkyeLanta I completely understand what you mean. My comment was just intended as an addendum for the lost & confused. 🙂
I'm ready for my brow lift, full veneers with gum tissue 'contouring'! 😂😂 the veneers would actually be nice though so I could like my smile! 😅
Also that houndstooth shirt is everything!!! 🖤
That ending was one of the best plastic surgery show ending we’ve seen on this channel. She wasn’t unrealistic with what she wanted, she was clear and the doctors understood the assignment and the cleaned. I’m so happy for how happy she is with the results. And yes, though it might be hard, the best healing medicine is a good positive mental attitude.
Every time I pop on You Tube lately there you are with a new video! You must be working your booty off! Keep up the hard work xx
Yes! 6 days a week!! 😂😂
Yes yes you NEED to watch charmed school... OOOOO. the drama that is gutt bustingly hilarious will just make ur day😂😂
Gods the nostalgia
Back in the days of Rock of Love and Tila Tequila
@@Laura.still.rendering Oh Tila, perhaps the most cursed way to find out about bisexuality, lmao.
15:59 the way you ask critical questions or make difficult observations in such a non- ridiculing, non-judgmental and respectful way, not only makes me very happy, but reminds me, on a regular basis, that the attitude in which we talk to other people, makes a great impact. Thanks for reminding😊.
Lux, I really like your videos because you're funny and honest without being cruel.
As someone with a Persian cat of eleven years- yes, I CONSTANTLY check if she's alive.
The dead dog panic is real! It’s worse when they get old - I have a 14y/o baby who would scare us all the time. Lucky she was beautiful
“Venus Delight was Venus De-nied” 😭🤣🤣🤣🤣
speaking of breast lift + tummy tuck my mom recently got a breast lift, tummy tuck, liposuction in her arms, back, neck, and thighs! all i could think of was THE SWAN girls!!
Was Saaphyri the one on Flavor of Love who got into that fight with a girl, then offers her chapstick afterwards and says "You want some lip chap?" 😂😂😂
I was so tired that I felt asleep watching this so I have to watch it again. Is it a problem? No because I always rewatch some videos
When you were like "do you ever have to check on your pets breathing" i immediately looked over at my cat, lol
I’ve a trans friend who discovered she was trans by trying drag. She was in her 40s, post a messy divorce, and it really woke up something inside her to perform as a woman. She is now officially trans and going through some gender affirming care. I have to think this is one way many have discovered they are trans. This show is such a nostalgic experience for this soon to be 40 year old. So many things you’d never see or hear in 2024. 😂
So many ru girls have come forward as trans, I think drag is definitely an outlet for many!!! In addition to being naturally gifted performers
So glad to have the opportunity to hang out today. I’m at work and you will help me get through haha.
I’m glad I’m not the only one completely baffled by impersonators basing their entire life off of somebody else 😂
I was waiting for the Venus episode!!!!
Cannot wait for this!
I can't imagine a tummy tuck and a breast lift at the same time! I had a breast reduction to reduce massive back problems. The doctor took 4 lbs off each breast. He did a "keyhole" incision. The cut was 3/4 the way around each nipple, reducing the areola size, and down at an angle. It looks like a keyhole from old cartoons. This way the nipples keep all the nerve tissue/sensitivity, and don't have to be grafted back on, which could lead to nipple death. The cuts continued under the whole breast (except the 2 in directly below the nipple) all the way to the center of chest to the arm pit. The breast skin is peeled back, fat and tissue removed, and reshaped. The result was amazing...but the recovery was a nightmare. SO PAINFUL. Had 2 drainage tubes in each breast, and 100's of stitches on each. Because everything is so invasive and rearranged, it took 12 weeks, 3 months, to get back to mildly uncomfortable. Compression wraps the whole time. If someone is reading this, please don't let this scare you. My results are a dream c cup, with no back pain and constant headaches. I just wish I would have known the road to recovery was longer than most.
That swan meme will never cease to make me laugh hysterically, thanks Luxeria, have a lovely week🖤🖤🖤
This was a great episode.
Excellent revision surgery on the girl’s nose. Impressive result!
In case you weren’t aware, this show is still on new season this year 2024. They’ve changed things up a little bit not much but a little.
Love this black-on-black houndstooth pattern on your top today! 🤩🤩
Isn’t it rather chic!! I want an entire wardrobe like it!
every time botched stops “distracting” me, i wonder where it’s from…😬
I had ftm top surgery in 2019 and I have to say, the euphoria that came from having nipples I was happy with, was incredible. I did have to fight to have nips though. My insurance claimed I didn't need nipples because they aren't "medically necessary " 🙄
I'm not afraid of ghosts, but now I'm very afraid of ghost surgeons
Luxeria I don’t know if u ever heard about the ghost doctors problem in Korea, many patients fall victim to this during the wave of plastic surgeries in Korea experience few years ago. It’s not just foreigners that were affected but also Koreans. It’s still an issue, many clinics would suddenly disappear and open another under different names to avoid legal prosecutions since the victims can’t sue them Properly.
I’m so glad i’m not the only one who has momentary OMG are you breathing panics over their doggo XD
Well... Roly kind of spoiled the surprise. But we still dont know WHERE!!! 😅
Love you, you are a goddess 💜🖤💜🖤💜
I love your LUXERIA light in the background. Can't wait to hear your news. I remember this episode, really amazing results.Great content as usual, thanks Lux. You always make me giggle with your hilarious comments. ♥
Botched at the drag show ! Busy being on the game .
💀💀💀
I honestly like how this episode was so uplifting and how those girls felt so happy with their results, I am really happy for that~
Why do botched videos always seem to come out the day before I have a hospital visit as a person with health related ptsd and why do I love this channel so much that I watch them every single time though they always send me into a spiral?! 😅😂💀
19:31 That happened to me! The doctor chose the size, and when I woke up I immediately regretted. He told me it was to swollen and I would get used to it, but I hated so much, 5 years later I had them removed, I have now 200ml under the muscle and I love it, I'm a very small person, I'm 1,55 50kg and had 350ml silicone in each breast, my back was killing me all the time, I hated all the clothes and I felt I was going to fall on my face the first time I stood up 😂
I love that we both said “Ballroom” at the same time to the line about learning to vogue.
It's a good day. An eclipse and lux, Mr. Biscuit and a new video. Wow let me get my drink and my wig.
6:24 You have such a lovely laugh! ❤
