Battle starts at 3:10 ! Lots of great requests, both for tutorials, and for factions to play as! But I had to start with a good, loyal, Emperor-loving start, didn't I? Hoping to do a livestream with sub-battles and 2v2s soon - follow me on twitter or updates on that - twitter.com/_PartyElite and join our Discord for an excellent, active community - discord.gg/6Tq3ut5
Important note! When you pick your ship upgrades, at the bottom of the popup, it says which ships will be affected. You took improved Augor array but it only works for escorts and light cruisers. So it was only working on 2 of your escorts and that's it. Increased range of Macro batteries and Lances only apply to the Flag ship so it's not as great as you might think. I would say it has a lot more value in 2v2s when you bring less ships so flagship will potentially be bigger % of your entire fleet.
@@omgLethalSting accuracy isn't that much of an issue for imperial navy as it was with orks as imperial navy has decent accuracy even at long ranges. But it is also true. I think Recently I rather go with shields against astroids/spores as it help against tyranids and you get more opportunities to get stealth and avoid choke points.
Men united in the purpose of the Emperor are blessed in his sight and shall live forever in his memory. That Ork player had a great strat going, distracting the enemy capital ships with a durable rok + flagship with some supporting escorts while simultaneously sending swarms of escorts to cap all the points. Your Nova micro was on point though and ultimately carried the day for mankind. It's really enjoyable watching the meta of this game evolve. The fact that ships cannot change direction instantly means that each action needs to be commited to, making battles very tense both to watch and play. I'ts almost like... the Dark Souls of RTS *badum-tss* :D
bought the game yesterday. Honestly, one of the best in space battle simulations I have played in a long time. The campaign map is very well rounded, too. The only thing that's missing is the Dawn of War part of warhammer. Combine the two and you have a superb franchise. Talk to the people of Total War: Warhammer. Let them make a 40k adaptation, add armada as space battle feature and the game is every warhammer fan's wet dream.
Loved your tips video. As others have mentioned would like more of that, possibly campaign related. Even watching battles like this I learn alot as well so keep up the good work!!
Genuinely enjoying these videos. Stumbled upon your channel when the beta 2 went live and have tuning in ever since. Like how you go into detail about your tactics and the play by play, reminds me of HeirofCarthage. Keep up the good work my dude.
I was checking out this video for gameplay footage, but I left it with a few more laughs than expected. I haven't played the game yet, but I imagine if I buy it I'll learn that this guy makes it look WAY easier than it actually is.
The unfortunate aspect of these xenos is their brutality. The fortunate aspect of these xenos is their brutality. Yet none are more brutal than those under the Emperor's eternal watch.
Cool to watch, I don’t watch many online battles but picked up a few things. Nice use of the hot keys for instance. I don’t use them enough. What’s the hot key for full speed ahead etc?
Glorious Emperor! This is beautiful... These FILTHY xenos shall not prevail! No fungi can defeat the Imperial Navy! And orks are not simply a type of fungus, they are a mistake! A mistake that deserves not to live! No mushroom can defeat the Imperium of Man! When does the first campaign start tho?
I don't know if anyone plays Fantasy Flight's amazing Star Wars Armada miniatures game, but the card element of that system would be great here. Being able to choose a set of special event/ability/commander cards before each battle would add yet another layer of strategy. It'd move the game away from its origins but so what? It's already its own thing.
i love warhammer and this looks intresting if not there would be no sound in space and just over heating problems in space combat also laser travels light speed and you would not see it comming but still cool fantasy game i will see if i buy it looks tactical af i like
Guess orks gotta orks. Still loving the videos. Shamelessly putting in my request again. a squadron heavy fleet from any faction and name it "carrier has arrived"
Do you find that firing arcs are important in the sequel? I played the first one and I really like games where a ships firing arcs are important (Starfleet Battles, Starwars Armada) and in the first one it felt like things could turn so fast and you never really got that sense of ponderous ships. Do you find that as well with the sequel? Or is it a little harder to fly the larger ships with focused side, front or rear arcs?
with any ship that doesnt have the turn with thrusters you rly rly feel it brutaly hard. (thats morstly battleships and well the orks) but so long as you have it they feel realatively nimble. i mean ofc the cant keep up with eldar or dark eldar but i think its decently balanced.
Awesome battle! Finally bought BFG:A2 via your HumbleBundle link. Unfortunately HumbleBundles verification mail that lets me check the game key is now 2 days late. I just wanna pew pew in space :(
How nice it must be to play against an enemy that doesn't have maximum cheese. Every time I play against orks its always cheap battleship spam. Or corsairs with LC spam.
Trying to decide If I should buy this game... And here's the thing: 1. Not sure I can handle a 2D space game: It's fundamentally missing the thing that makes it SPACE! Homeworld came out in the 90's people! Did y'all get dumber since then? 2. Following from the above point; gameplay essentialy looks the same as Naval Battles in Total War games, even down to the broadside cones. 3. Why stress my GPU with so many polygons if you're going to stick an ugly-ass grid/gui on top of everything? The interface seems to be constanly lighting things up like a christmas tree, doesn't that break the 4th wall for you guys? I guess what I'm saying is it looks pretty abstracted - It's not a space RTS based on a tabletop game, it's a tabletop game in your PC. And there's nothing wrong with that, but if that's how it is I'll save my pennies.
I can't speak for BFGA2, but the Lunar Class is pathetic for its points cost on the tabletop because it has no real strengths (unless you count having extra armour on one of the facings with no guns as a "strength"). It's an overpriced generalist, like almost all IN ships, and so it will reliably lose to a specialist of equal value.
In EVERY SINGLE warhammer title (and I played them all), from table top to Total War to DOW to this game, Orcs are the weakest race cause they always fail to balance them lore wise. So Orcs always have bad accuracy, bad movement, huge group size (which makes them weak to area of effect), low damage and low moral. Their strengh should be numbers, but it isnt. They are never cost efficent enough. In this game, it seems like low moral compared with bad movement and a too little number advantage is again their problem.
LOL, dow 2 ork is a pain every time nobs squad appear destroy everything even relic unit of other race. and in this game, ork is effective with spam 5 battleship is still cheap with a bunch of escort
Good graphics, but the gameplay is monotonous and boring after 2 hours of doing the same thing over and over. Then 4 hours later it doesnt change, this is a game for multiplayer for whoever likes this type of strategies, the campaign is boring.

Think it was also mentioned in the beta that it is ONLY range increase not accuracy. So no point of adding range if there is zero chance to hit.

Love how he roll played as the orcs in chat.
That weapon is classified information by order of the Inquisitors.
Haha. Excellent reasoning.
Like the battlefleet content a lot . You being able to talk through your thinking so quick and clear helps a lot
Fun game, that I suck super super hard at. Played around 15 matches, haven't won once yet :'<
EDIT: I won a single match!
Nice! Was gonna say - practice makes perfect with games like this!

Excellent tactics Lord Admiral

I really appreciate your videos. You make the battles entertaining, interesting and you drop some knowledge too. Keep going man !
What a right and proper Waagh Navy good for krumpin. A shame it had to be destroyed by the righteous might of the Emperor's glorious Imperial Navy.

Nova cannons really hurt the orcs more then it looks like at first glance due to the massive morale hit, nids too once the hiveship is down.
Yeah!

I am digging the game-play, and have enjoyed each of the videos so far. You keep making them, and I will keep watching them.
Honestly just keep as many of the games coming as possible, love the videos dude
Keep the videos coming! Loving the game right now.

Thanks for the kind words! That's very high praise to be compared to somebody like Heir!
Im new in this game and im glad to find your videos :)
Thank you,well done
Some fine flying there, and that rather... unusual Ork build turned out to be about the absolute ideal matchup for your massed-Nova-Cannon strat.
Yeah that worked out excellently. Was very surprised by the build, for sure.
Keep em coming! Want to see Drukhari!
Looking forward to more videos. Keep up the great work and would watch any/all tutorial videos you want to put out.

Wow thank you very much for this comment. Really made my day!
Wonderful video, the emperor protects!
Great vids man, just bought the game and learning alot from watching you play!
Good game, funny opponent. I'm enjoying the singleplayer so far, will delve into MP once they do a balance pass again.
12:10 to 12:18 was a beautiful shot.
Thanks!

looks really cool,so you only have cannons or other type of small arms as well and can you upgrade weapons in your ship?
nice play at 7:30

Not sure yet! Been a hectic week and weekend! Lots of planning to do ;-;
Is the reload stance bug still around in the release version?
It does look like it's been fixed from my preliminary testing!
One of my favourite play through s gotta the orks

*rages in imperial* how do you deal with eldar/ dark eldar?
Ramming speed!
@@Worgrunner Well 6 Avenger Grand Cruisers get the job done. But I hate spaming units.
could you try another round with Tyranids? I know it's been a bit op in a previoius episode, but damn! need more
Sure thing! They've been nerfed nicely if I'm not mistaken!
Guess orks gotta orks. Still loving the videos. Shamelessly putting in my request again. a squadron heavy fleet from any faction and name it "carrier has arrived"
Keep up the fun!
I really want to play this game but it seems so hard to play
Keep it up, hope you do some 2v2
Love this game
I like Fleet names, but I really miss the point where you can name your ships and captains.
You can in the campaign I think. But apparently not in multiplayer.
BFGA2 looks like a winner.
100% is, in my opinion!

Working hard at it! The discord is buzzing with activity, so that's a start =D
IMPERIAL NAVY!!
plz do a campaign party ;)
Awesome battle!

Also you were right in your other video. No army painter? WTH
good stuff

Oh I get my fair share of those. I don't share the boring battles (wins or losses).
Drop a like? ok I used the inverted like I hope that is what you meant
The Apocalypse didn't seem to contribute much to this battle? Maybe swap it out for an Oberon, so you still get that Novacannon and can use fighters?
It handled 4 enemy ships all on its own. He just kinda forgot about it and it was left alone to do so.
God bless Ork players.
Mechanicus next video?
Whoops just saw this! Will have one this week!
you completely forgot your battleship existed didnt you? XD
I need a kind of tutorial in my language(italian) to play this because i feel so lost while playing :D super noob...
