Mixing is hard. Not just the technical aspect, but mixing in a way that sounds musical and brings life to the song. Maybe it sounds good, but it has to feel good too. It really is more than half of the creative process.
Write a great song, record it perfectly, but mix it poorly and you've got nothing...
(believe me, I have a whole lot of nothing lol)
